Some Mood Music
New Session!
Wow. It's been over a year since our last Experience award, and a ton has happened. So much so, that I am officially ending Chapter 4. Chapter 5 marks the start of a new session. Please work towards drawing all the interlude and prelude threads to a close. I will be redrawing my pool of GM fate chips, as well as redrawing chips for the Wild Cards who are important NPCs.
Time Skip!
I want to skip a few days, so that those who were travelling to Deadwood can get there, and so that things can settle down in town. When I start the new threads, it will be midday on the 15th. I will work with the PCs to cover any things they want to do in the time between, with the caveat that major changes to the status quo will only happen On Camera in a thread.
Experience!
It's time to award some experience. Everyone gains 10 XP for being involved in the Chapter 4 threads and the various spin-offs. That will put everyone at 30 xp total. This includes you, Zek.
Advances!
Since all the PCs have gained 10 XP, that means everyone gets 2 Advancea! Please let me know what it is you'd like to improve with your Advances.
Fate Chips!
Any character with
less than 5 chips may draw up to 5. Anyone with
more than 5 chips discards down to 5.
Once that is taken care of, Janet, Tan Xaiohan, Thunder Walker's player, Moses's player, and Zek may each draw 1 extra chip for some exceptional roleplaying and dealing with Hindrances. Speaking of which...
Hindrances!
The last session changed a lot of things. Some of ya'll have gained some new and interesting enemies, other have gained some dangerous obligations.
Janet, you have made an
Enemy (minor) of Seth Bullock and Jackie Wells.
Freiherr von Steinhoff, you have made an
Enemy (Minor) of Hyram and Cynthia Burns.
Moses, the manitou you chased away from Thunder Walker has marked you. You are now a
Trouble Magnet (minor) until you deal with it once and for all.
Art, you've gained Coyote ears. Since you already have the Outsider hindrance, well, there's not much more that can be done there.
Ezekiel, you've made an
Enemy (minor) of The Enlightened Society of the Weeping Moon.
Rabbit, you've made a
Vow (minor) to help Kang negotiate with the spirits for right of way in the Hunting Grounds.
Free Skill Point!
Those of you who've gained new Hindrances gain a new point for skills. You may use this point to bump up one of your existing skills, or buy a new skill at d4.
Adventure Cards!
Everyone may discard and redraw their Adventure Cards. Since you're all Seasoned (or Veteran) rank now, you get to draw 3 cards (or 4 for veterans). The Uh-Oh! and Reinforcement cards go to the GM...indicate you've drawn those, then draw again.
If you are controlling more than one character, you get an additional draw for each character over the first. This does not include groups of Extras, though. Each character can only play one adventure card for free. Any other cards you wish to use cost 1 fate chip to play.
