I will be traveling between the 18th and 23rd of November.  If the hotel has wifi I'll likely be checking in of course but I might miss a day or three in the general disarray.

I am having a major car issue. To get help getting to and from work, I've asked some friends if they would let me spend the night with them a couple nights this week. They said yes, so I'm expecting to spend the night over at their place at least tomorrow night.

What this means is that my posting is going to be sporadic from 12/11 on. Hopefully, the Major Car Issue won't take more than a week to resolve, but I'm not holding my breath. Again, this is starting tomorrow.

Damnable automobiles.

Not being Christian, Christmas doesn't tend to excite me as much as it might some others. And there's still two and a half weeks of December left.

Actually before I post it, I have a question about the trapping of Jackie's Gatling pistol: is it in any way incendiary?

Also in general, I will do my best to post Jackie's combat action tomorrow to keep from holding the thread up, but expect me to possibly be scarce the 21st through 25ish.

Hello, everyone!

Hi!

Still international and a bit in and out, but generally around.

I am still alive, but probably won't be back to normal posting rate until I'm back from 'vacation' next Monday.

My 'vacation' was to leave sunny California to visit friends and family in Chicago. It's been a whirlwind. Today I'm at work in our Chicago office, tomorrow flying back to SoCal.

Sunday will be getting the kids all ready for school to start.

Finally I'll be back to a normal day next Monday.

Back... so I was out of town for the holiday, my last day in Nowheretown, when someone hit my car.  The only repair shop in a reasonable radius was closed for a couple of days, then I had to wait for them to find a part.  Also I get to pay a deductible, yay.

Anyway that got dealt with, but I got back late on New Year's Day, and within a few hours of getting home suddenly felt quite ill, and wound up taking more days off of work...

Finally over it, but that started so well and ended not so well!

Update: Flying from Chicago to LAX was the pits. Didn't take off until 12:45 am (for my 7 pm flight). Landed in LAX around 3. Got luggage and car at about 3:40. Only to find the 405 covered in dense fog. Got home (after stopping to pick up breakfast) at about 5 am. Ate and went to bed.

Back at work today, and back to almost normal (I hope).

So... found out Thursday afternoon (and believe me this is the extremely short version of a very long story) I'm going to be going out of town all week (13th thru 17th).

My participation is uncertain as I'm going to be on site/traveling.
