Re: Missing In Action: Who's waiting on whom?

The Stray:
But the plan is to try and get you guys all in one place together, so don't be expecting to slip the soldiers quite that easily.

[points] They are all in one place together. If Logan wasn't trying to cohere the party, I'm sure he'd have collared von Steinhof, and James might've realised not being a jerk would actually be more helpful to his goals in the long run and/or gone back for him.

@Zek: no-one did see in a beneficial manner except Maddox and the thugs, though... @Stray - just let him make up a story then apply the card's effects/his legend appropriately, no? He can still be a Folk Hero and arrested if you're absoloutely set on it.

[points at James and Von Stienhoff] Not yet they aren't.

They need time to do that, though. And getting a Tale-Tellin' check done with Custer (and thus getting a Legend chip into the pot) has its own benefits, such as spreading the tale faster, lowering the Fear Level of that patch of Deadwood to something not likely to tip into a Deadland again, and keeping new monsters from springing up there for a while.

In reply to The Stray (msg # 378):

I agree if I was trying to lower the fear level, but I don't have tale telling and I am just trying to use the card I was dealt. If it happens over time that's fine. And even tale telling needs time to work.

Not to steal Zek's thunder, but I'd like to remind you of Leopold's own tale-telling he did earlier at the piano.

Hey, I don't really care about credit-I just wanna play my card. If you can make use of the card and get some tale telling going-be my guest!

Re: Missing In Action: Who's waiting on whom?

Sorry I've been slow - had a lot of deadlines at work today, and I'm going to be in the mountains this weekend and possibly not have cell service or wifi. I'll be back late on Sunday - I should be able to catch up Monday morning.

Sorry for the timing (new thread opening and all)!

Back now, but I haven't had a chance to catch up with the main thread or do my advances and the like. I'll try to do that later today.

Younger Katy and Trace are waiting for the walkin' dead.

Older Katy is waiting for a transition at this point I think? Unless I missed something else that needs her reaction?
