Righted, Rabbit fairly hurls herself at the riders.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

[[^Just 'talking'...but why does Gazes have so few chips at present? Night Terrors is only -1 per session, right? Did he get the ones from that Reinforcement card a way back?]]

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

As the blades stabbed at him from all sides, Thunder Walker in the form of the mountain lion, danced back and forth to avoid taking a serious injury, though he couldn't avoid blood being drawn. He leaped at two of them from where he sat, flying at them with his massive paws at the ready, ready to strike them down if he could.

OOC:

Gazes, thanks for trying with the Vigor! Appreciate the attempt.

Spending 1W for the first Soak. Spend a Blue chip to get me over the threshold. Spending 1R for the second Soak. Spent 3 Blue Chips to get me over that threshold. 1W 1R and 4B chips later, I've soaked all the wounds. Phew.

Soak 1 (vs 2 wounds): 9 (5 + Blue Chip 4)
Soak 2 (vs 3 wounds): 12 (7 + Blue Chip 2 + Blue Chip 1 + Blue Chip 2)

Pounce with Improved Frenzy at two of the riders. Should be hits with no raises, one Shaken one Dead.

Fighting 1: 9
Fighting 2: 8
Damage 1: 9
Damage 2: 29

Agility for Extraction: 8 (as this attack will likely take him out of melee with one of them)

Initiative: AH

12:43, Today: Thunder Walker drew the single card: AH using the Deadlands system.  Initiative.
11:29, Today: Thunder Walker rolled 2,8 using d10,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 2,(6+2)8.  Agility (Extraction - If Needed).

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

The elderly shaman nods. "Come, friend." he says to the man in the white tabard. "We must depart."

The man shakes his head. "No. I told you, I must serve The Greater Good. You go. I will bar the way, and make sure these foul things cannot follow."

Black Kettle nods. "Then until we meet again, Great Spirit watch over you." And the old man runs back toward the portal.

The templar stands, and picks up a shield made of some odd, clear material, not quite glass. The word "POLICE" with written on it in great big block letters. he mutters a quick prayer...

And then suddenly he is moving with inhuman speed, his sword flashing and darting as he charges the two remaining deaders. Between his sword and Thunder Walker's claws, the soldiers are quickly dispatched.

"They must not escape!" The Hooded One shouts. "Ignore the rabbit...we must get the chiefs!"

The braves do just that...they aim and fire at the old chieftain up the hill, who pitches and rolls as the bullets rain down on him. He's hit, but still moving.

The dead gunslingers next to The Hooded One, however, continue taking pot-shots at the fluffy bunny target. And one of them actually hit Rabbit right in the guts...

"Black Kettle!" The other chief says, running up to the old man. For an elderly person himself, he sure seems to be able to move with a speed younger men would envy.

"I am fine." Black Kettle gasps. Black spirit blood oozes from a graze in his leg. "I have been wounded worse. Keep going, Red Cloud!"

Red Cloud nods, and continues running onward.

((OOC: Black Kettle comes Off Hold, and the Templar drops his Protection power to join in the fight. Black Kettle begins running for the portal, while the Templar makes with the slashy-slashy.

Black Kettle gets a 4 on his run check. Since his Pace is 5 (he's old), that gets him 9 squares toward the portal.

Black Kettle's Card: 8S

Jeremy Thatcher has an Edge that allows him to cast spells on himself as a free action once per round, which he does. He casts Quickness. He also picks up his Riot Shield with Quick Draw, which he'd set down to use his Protection power.

22:18, Today: Jeremy Thatcher rolled 3,16 using d10,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,(6+6+4)16.  Faith. Yup, that's a success and raise. He gets an extra action each round, and can redraw any initiative card lower than an 8.

He moves to flank the remaining BR, and slashes at them with a Wild Attack. he has an edge that gives him bonus damage here.

22:21, Today: Jeremy Thatcher rolled 11,6 using d10+2,d6+2, rerolling max with rolls of 9,4.  Fighting (Wild Attack). hit and Raise

Damage: 14. That one goes down.

22:23, Today: Jeremy Thatcher rolled 13,4 using d10+2,d6+2, rerolling max with rolls of (10+1)11,2.  Fighting (Wild Attack). Another hit and raise.

Damage: 24. That one goes down, too.

Jeremy's Card: 10D. Incidentally, Jeremy is an Ally, so would one of you like to run him for the duration of this fight?

The Hooded One orders his goons to concentrate on the mission, rather than the bunny. The five Ravenites take shots at Black Kettle, though they're at Medium Range and on Unsteady Platforms, so they have a -4 penalty.

22:43, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 9,4,5,2,11 using d10-4,d10-4,d10-4,d10-4,d10-4, rerolling max with rolls of (10+3)13,8,9,6,(10+5)15.  Shooting (Unsteady Platform, Medium Range).

Apparently they have really good aim, because 4 of them hit, and two of them have Raises.

Damage: 12, 7, 9, 16. That's 1 wound, A Shaken, Another Shaken, and 2 wounds, respectively.

Black Kettle is a Wild Card, so he has some chips, and he can use GM chips. He attempts to soak the first wound, spends a chip to negate the Shaken penalty so that the second one doesn't become a Wound, then attempts to Soak the 2 wounds. It costs him all his chips and 1 GM chip to attempt all this. He soaks, but it winds up costing him a GM Red Chip as well.

Meanwhile the gunslingers attempt to shoot Rabbit. The Hooded One and the brujo don't do anything this round.

22:55, Today: Black Riders rolled -3,-4 using d10-6,d6-6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,2.  Shooting.
22:55, Today: Black Riders rolled 13,-3 using d10-6,d6-6, rerolling max with rolls of (10+9)19,3.  Shooting (Unsteady Platform, Small Target).

Man the Dice don't like you guys. One of the gunslingers gets a Hit and Raise on Rabbit.

Damage: 18. That will be 3 Wounds for Rabbit if she can't soak.

Raven's card: 4C, 10H

Red Cloud, meanwhile, runs, following Black Kettle. Red Cloud is old, but he's also faster than Black Kettle (he is Fleet-Footed). He gets a 10, so he moves 17" toward the portal.

Red Cloud's Card: AC, 7S))

Rabbit needs to Soak 3 Wounds, then it's her turn!

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

Glancing off a rock, the round draws blood from Rabbit's belly mid-stride, but little more; screaming furiously, the bunny charges violently amongst the hooves of the newcomers' mounts, her blade like a star in their shadows.

[[Takes pretty much all my chips, but still a bunny, and going for the same Trick as before...let's hope I can Shake a mount and throw a bugger.

08:53, Today: Tan Xiaohan rolled 5,4 using d6,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 5,4.  ouch!
08:54, Today: Tan Xiaohan rolled 4 using 1d6, rerolling max with rolls of 4.  red add.

08:58, Today: Tan Xiaohan rolled 22 using 3d6, rerolling max with rolls of (6+4)10,1,(6+5)11.  a last white on there. Soaked.

08:59, Today: Tan Xiaohan rolled 5,4 using d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 5,4.  more Trickery!

The flashing rabbit with the sharps sends horses rearing, and the Ravenites have to struggle to keep their mounts under control.

The Hooded One glares at the fuzzy terror. "You." he growls. "Of course it would be you."

((OOC: Since the purpose of your Trick is to slow them up (the rest of the group is fairly far away, so giving them Set-up bonuses isn't helpful), I'l use the Delay option on this. A successful trick against the Ravenites will force them to take a lower card, and make them Shaken on a Raise. This is basically against all the Ravenites in the front rank along with RBK.

22:59, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 3,3,3,3,1 using d8,d8,d8,d8,d8, rerolling max with rolls of 3,3,3,3,1.  Resisting Trick. That's a ton of Fail for the Ravenites.

23:00, Today: Rotten Bear Killer rolled 6,3 using d10,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 6,3.  Resisting Trick. That's a Fail for RBK, too.

And Rabbit winds up making them all Shaken with this, as well. So time to see how many of them stay on their mounts.

23:03, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 7,9,5,7,8 using d10,d10,d10,d10,d10, rerolling max with rolls of 7,9,5,7,8.  Riding. Sadly, the Ravenites all Succeed, and remain horsed.

23:04, Today: Rotten Bear Killer rolled 4,11 using d10,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 4,(6+5)11.  Riding. RBK also Succeeds in remaining horsed.

The Hooded One, the two Gunslingers, and the Brujo are unaffected, though since they were all acting on the same card, they get delayed as well.))

Giving a paw salute to the white man who helped dispatch the Black Riders, he bounded forward placing himself ahead of Black Kettle but behind Red Cloud, so he would be able to help either at need.

OOC:

TW is going to run to a point in between Black Kettle and Red Cloud so that he's able to defend if either are attacked.

Rabbit grunts at the scowl directed at her and jacknifes back under the hooves of the Hooded One's mount. Even damned horses were probably susceptible to herd instinct, and with those in front panicking over the darting flash of white and steel, those behind were probably set to join the chaos.

[[21:42, Today: Tan Xiaohan rolled 3,9 using d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,(6+3)9.  charge! Same as before on those guys she didn't get previously, and off into the scrub behind them in the hopes of a little cover.

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

The ragged swordsman sprinted forward, sparing a glance for Black Kettle and Red Cloud, but focusing his attention on the task ahead of him.

He reached out to the Saints of old, the great heroes whose power flowed through him. He was almost a blur and he rushed across the battlefield, sword in one hand, plastic shield in the other. His sword glinted with the power of righteous fury, and around his body a faint nimbus of light shone.

The cold wrath of his gaze lay fixed on the Hooded One as he sprinted towards the monster in man's form.

((OOC: Action 1: Run 10 towards Hooded One and Activate Smite as a free action with a 6 for a +2 to damage rolls with the Sword

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

The darting, flashing, fuzzy nuisance sends the horses screaming and rearing. Most of the deaders keep control, but one of the gunslingers falls under his horse. Unfortunately, he's not trampled enough to be seriously hurt by that.

The Ravenite braves charge past the Templar, whooping and firing. Black Kettle manages to avoid the worst of it, but those aiming at the giant puma have deadly aim. One of the shots hits Thunder Walker hard, and then a second one, and he feels his spirit ebbing...

The giant Hunkpapa brave with the squirming manitou crawling around his skin looks over at Jeremy.

"A hero. I like heroes." He says. "I like crushing them to pieces! HOKA HEY!"

And with that, the giant smelly man-mountain sprouts translucent wolf fur and charges at the Templar, his massive bladed war club whistling through the air as he swings!

But Jeremy' riot shield is up before the mighty warrior arrives, turning the crushing blow into a glancing one. The horse screams in protest as Rotten Bear Killer reigns him in and turns to face Jeremy. "Good! A worthy battle! Show me what you got, pale face!"

Meanwhile, The Hooded One speaks a faint chant, and his robes shimmer with holy power. "Kill the rabbit." he growls at the gunslingers and the Brujo. Then he rides off, pulling his mighty war club free.

"Eeeee-HAW!" The mounted gunslinger whirls abnd cranks a few futile shots into the bushes where Rabbit is hidden.

The unhorsed one, however, just gives the bunny a cold glare as he calmly lines up a shot. His bullet strikes much too near, sending chips of sage into Rabbits eyes.

The brujo mutters something, and dark spirits swarm around the shrubbery...but Rabbit sees through the illusion.

((OOC: Alrighty. I'll assume this Trick is another Delay, to give Black Kettle a chance for more running.

16:21, Today: Raven rolled 3,3 using d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,3.  Resisting Trick.

...

That's a Fail. Let's see how his Henchmen fare.

16:25, Today: Thunder Guard rolled 3,2; 6,1 using d8,d6,d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,2,6,1.  Resisting Trick.

Fail for both, though only one is Shaken.

16:26, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 3,1 using d6,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,1.  Resisting Trick.

another Fail, and he's Shaken.

I am now hearing Yakety Sax in my head. Let's see how many fall off their horses. These horses are Undead, so they don't mind their Harrowed riders.

16:28, Today: Raven rolled 3,4 using d10,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,4.  Riding.
16:29, Today: Thunder Guard rolled 1,1; 11,3 using d8,d6,d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 1,1,(8+3)11,3.  Riding.
16:33, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 4,1 using d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 4,1.  Riding.

One Crit-fails and eats dirt, the others pass. I decide that Crit-Fail means this harrowed takes an extra d6 of damage. I wind up rolling a 3 for damage. Wut? Anyhoo, that one is still unhorsed and Shaken, and they all get delayed a little longer.

That means Black Kettle gets to go before them. He Runs again.

16:37, Today: Black Kettle rolled 4 using 1d6.  Running. That gets him 9 squares, which puts him close enough to the portal that he can make it in, assuming he survives this round.

Black Kettle's Card: 2H. Yikes. Not good for him.

So, I have a whole mess 'o Shakens to deal with...

Ravenite Braves: 5 are Shaken. 16:42, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 13,5,13,23,5 using d8,d8,d8,d8,d8, rerolling max with rolls of (8+5)13,5,(8+5)13,(8+8+7)23,5.  Unshake.

All unshake, 3 of them with Raises.

Rotten Bear Killer: Is Shaken. He spends a GM White to Unshake automatically.

Gunslingers: 1 is Shaken. He's undead, which gives him +2 to unshake. 16:47, Today: Thunder Guard rolled 9,11 using d8+2,d6+2, rerolling max with rolls of 7,(6+3)9.  Unshake. Success and Raise.

The Brujo: Is Shaken. 16:48, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 9,4 using d8+2,d6+2, rerolling max with rolls of 7,2.  Unshake.

Success and Raise.

Raven: Is Shaken. Given he has a high spirit and Combat Reflexes, I don't expect him to remain so. 16:50, Today: Raven rolled 12,5 using d12+3,d6+3, rerolling max with rolls of 9,2.  Unshake.

Yup. Success and Raise.

Alrighty!

So the Ravenites proceed after Black Kettle, moving around Jeremy to avoid his blade.

The two with penalties take shots at Black Kettle, the 3 without take shots at Puma!Walker. I initially forgot the Unstable Platform penalty, so the rolls are actually worse than what's in the die roller logs. That's good for Black Kettle, but turns out not to matter much when I take it in to account against Thunder Walker. The Die Roller really, really hated on him here.

Vs. Black Kettle: 17:03, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 3,0 using d10-4,d10-4, rerolling max with rolls of 7,2.  Shooting (Shaken penalty). Both Miss.

Vs. Thunder Walker: 17:04, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 6,13,13 using d10-2,d10-2,d10-2, rerolling max with rolls of 8,(10+5)15,(10+5)15.  Shooting. Ow. three hits and 2 Raises

Damage 1: 2. That has no effect
Damage 2: 24. That is 4 wounds. That will make you Incapacitated if you can't soak.
Damage 3: 21. That is 3 wounds.

Fucking hell, the Die Roller hates you. Sorry about that.

Rotten Bear Killer sees Jeremy and thinks "ooo! Challenge!"

He attempts to activate his own Quickness ability.

19:40, Today: Rotten Bear Killer rolled 1,5 using d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 1,5.  Spirit. Success.

He has his weapon already drawn, and he's on horseback. He Charges at Jeremy...he'll get +4 damage if he hits. He can't use his Improved Frenzy edge on this, though.

19:44, Today: Rotten Bear Killer rolled 7,2 using d10,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 7,2.  Fighting (Charge!).

That's actually not enough, given Jeremy's Parry.

Rotten Bear Killer splits off from Raven's group for Initiative purposes.

RBK's Card: QH

The gunslingers take shots at Rabbit, despite the Heavy Cover. One of them is still on horseback, the other is now on foot.

19:49, Today: Thunder Guard rolled -2,-2 using d10-10,d6-10, rerolling max with rolls of 8,(6+2)8.  Shooting (Unsteady Platform, Small Target, Heavy Cover).

19:50, Today: Thunder Guard rolled 7,-5 using d10-8,d6-8, rerolling max with rolls of (10+5)15,3.  Shooting (Small Target, Heavy Cover).

The one on foot hits Rabbit.

Damage: 6, which is a Shaken.

Meanwhile, the Brujo attempts to flush Rabbit out by using the fear power.

19:54, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 3,1 using d10,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,1.  Tribal Medicine.

Fail. Rabbit is made of sterner stuff.

For his part, The Hooded One draws his Bladed War Club and casts Armor. He has a -2 MAP.

19:56, Today: Raven rolled 7,3 using d12-2,d6-2, rerolling max with rolls of 9,5.  Tribal Medicine. Success, and close enough to a Raise that he opts to spend a GM red chip to make it one.

19:56, Today: Raven rolled 2 using 1d6, rerolling max with rolls of 2.  Red Chip.

He gets +4 armor for the next 3 rounds, and then he attempts to ride around Jeremy. He winds up near the trees.

Raven's card: BJ! uh, oh.))

OOC:

Thunder Walker literally just came back, how you gonna do me like that? LOL ;)

Anyway, using the card 10C - Second Wind “I’m feeling much better now.”

Play on your hero to automatically remove all wounds sustained in this combat (but not crippling injuries). If Shaken, he is un-Shaken now as well. The Marshal gets to draw 2 random chips from the fate pot.

So I guess first I need to sustain all seven of those wounds, then use this card to eat them up.

Gazes felt like he was playing stickball like a Choctaw might, running back and forth across the field. He turned around and rushed toward the elderly shaman they came to rescue, hoping to make himself an appealing target for Ravens posse. He panted as he ran:

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

Jeremy was pulled up short by the charging, fur-covered behemoth. The Hunkpapa challenged him, and the Templar accepted. He raised his riot shield into position again and peered through the plastic window at his foe. His body was ringed in light, his sword glinted in the shadows of the thunderstorms overhead, and his face was set in a stone-like grimace.

And even though his shield was polycarbonate and the armor beneath his tabard forged from scrap metal over strips of car tire, Jeremy Thatcher looked every bit like a glorious crusading knight.

He smirked.

"You first, asshole."

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

Thunder Walker, hurt but still going, regains his feet.

In the sky, there is an enormous crack of thunder, a mighty roar, and a flash of light...and then the sky is filled with a mass of shimmering scales.

The dragon is vast, a mighty being as long as whole rivers, swathed in swirling clouds and fog. Everyone in the area can smell rain on the wind around the dragon, see stormlight glinting off his scales like lightning off choppy water. His voice is the rumble of angry thunder.

"How dare you!?" The mighty river dragon roars, glaring at The Hooded One's entourage. "You, who pull the dead from their graves? You think to capture the minds of men as you have ensnared these souls? No! The guardians of the underworld shall not stand for this! Come to me, mighty guardians! Show this wicked one the price of his folly!"

The ground rumbles, and two mighty figures pull themselves from the dirt and stone. They are massive slabs of muscle, standing twelve feet high. One has a head like an ox, the other the face of a horse. They roar defiance at The Hooded One and the Ravenites.

Meanwhile, a twisting form of brownish smoke curls up around Gazes At Stars. He hears a liquid chuckle from the smoke.

"Well, well, well. This seems quite funny. You called, chief. What do you want?"

((OOC: Alrighty, so the Second Wind cancels out the massive attacks.

Gazes, calling on a spirit is an RP opportunity, so I'd like to to wait a bit on that spirit roll while you negotiate with the thing you called up. Also, since I use a different version of the summoning chart...enjoy! }:D You can make me a Common Knowledge check (+2) to identify what kind of spirit you've just summoned up.

Also, here are your reinforcements...the Yuánjiāng river, and a pair of Chinese underworld guardians. I present to you Niútóu and Mǎmiàn!

Who wants to run them?))

"!"

Rabbit's ears perk at the Yuan's voice, heart tripping in its rapid rabbit beat. Although still stinging from the hail of dust and splinters to the face, she flattens herself almost entirely in a sincere bow of awe and gratitude, although it is unlikely to be seen.

Thank you! Thank you, Grandfather. These souls are truant from the Hells!

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

The Shoshone Shaman briefly thought he had done rather well in calling down a river. Then the smoke curled up around him. Gazes thought he recognized the type of spirit, which was a good omen. He smiled broadly.

"Thunder and Fire in the sky, Rivers rumble through the air, and Ox and Horse have ridden man to guard the gates. The Signs are good. I have called you for aid, noble spirit."

He pointed toward Black Kettle. "That man is a great shaman whose voice will help unite us in peace, against the Lodge of the Raven. He must make it through that portal, to the one who Laughs in Darkness."

Gazes held off on asking anything of the spirit until he was sure the being was amenable.

Maybe less than good...he seems to have called up a Koyemshi Katchina. The brown cloud chuckled.

"Sounds hilarious, chief. Do you got a body I can latch on to? Can't do much else in this state, chief."

Gazes at Stars reassessed his position as he addressed the mudhead. He looked to his foes.

And fixed on one of the gunslingers.

"The Hooded One has many minions, whose wills are weak. Turn those he has cowed against their master, if you will. Confusion among the ranks."

In reply to Gazes At Stars (msg # 143):

The Koyemshi chuckles. "Yes! Oh, you got it, chief. And if you want to call on me again, in another funny situation like this, call for Koshari. We'll have a few laughs."

And the spirit snakes off towards the Harrowed.

((OOC: Alrighty! So all the reinforcements have been divvied up. Gazes, roll me a d12 for your Koyemshi's attempt to possess the gunslinger. I'll then be updating the combat map so you know where the new characters are, and you can take it from there running the new guys. They each get an action this round, and will then draw cards as normal for next round.))

The Harrowed gunslinger on the ground is enveloped by the brown smoke. He looks utterly shocked as part of him is pushed outward.

"No! What is this? It cannot be!" The Harrowed shudders as a ghostly figure resembling a horned skeleton is actually pushed out of his body...it's still attached, but it claws uselessly at the dead body it was forced from.

The other harrowed and the brujo just stare at the gunslinger, shocked.

((OOC: 09:49, Today: Thunder Guard rolled 3,5 using d8,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 3,5.  Spirit. Yup, that guy is possessed. We'll have him act on Gazes' initiative next round.

Do you want a stat block for the Koyemshi-possessed Harrowed? The Koyemshi is going to have to battle the Manitou for dominion each round. And here's a fun thought -- if the Koyemshi can keep control of the harrowed, it might be enough to actually break Raven's hold on it and allow the original soul to regain control!))

Niutou, Ox-Head, gave a thunderous bellow as he charged towards the clump of warriors. The foremost one was unluckiest, being directly in the ogre's path. The massive tauric beast reached out to snare the undead by the throat.

Re: Chapter 6.2: Pow Wow on the Mountain ((Bear Butte))

As the ox-headed guardian charges, the Ravenites and their skeletal mounts panic. The horses bolt, sending several riders falling. The poor soul in the ogre's path is thrown from his mount and falls directly into the mighty guardian's grasp!

((OOC: The Ravenite Braves are actually Ancestor Spirits, so not technically undead, though I can see this power working the same way on them regardless. It works like the Soul Eater Harrowed power, so on a hit you you Str damage as well as the Soul Eater effect, but it is a normal attack, not a touch attack.

These are Veteran Ravenite Braves, so they have a Parry of 8. That's a miss. However, they also need to make a Fear check because a huge bellowing oxman just ran at them to drag them to Hell. There is no Fear Level in the Hunting Grounds, so these are unmodified.

11:23, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 2,3,2,12,6 using d8,d8,d8,d8,d8, rerolling max with rolls of 2,3,2,(8+4)12,6.

That's a ton of Fail. Only one of the Ravenites is both able to remain unafraid, and able to keep their mount stable. The rest scatter. The Ravenites need to make Riding checks or be unhorsed while their mounts run screaming.

11:26, Today: Ravenite Braves rolled 3,7,3,1 using d8,d8,d8,d8, rerolling max with rolls of 3,7,3,1.  Riding.

one of them remains horsed, the other 3 fall. One of them actually takes enough damage to suffer a Wound, and is out of the fight. Ox head, you can choose to either consume the spirit or make it your slave for seven years.

Card?))
