Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
To be perfectly fair, if Tessa doesn't know anything at all about the pseudo-wager that Viktoriya and Aimi had, then I doubt she'd be able to narrow it down as to who else would know about it. Only if they'd said 'yeah, we were talking about this with Lyka and only Lyka before you came in' would she know that... which means she'd know about the joke.

...and psh. There's not all THAT much going on behind the scenes. Didn't El have a thread with Thea over christmas break, anyway?

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
That is true, yeah.  The conversation within the Tomahawks would come up at some point, after she's spent some time with a good drink and some peace and quiet.  Tessa doesn't know where the wager thing came from now, but a conversation with the Tomahawks would point her to Lyka if only thanks to her name being mentioned in passing.  "We were jokin' about tha with Lyka while you were down at the pool" sort of thing.

How do I have that conversation within my own character group so it doesn't seem meta-gamey?  I mean it kinda is... but at the same time, it makes sense to me for that lead at least to reach Tessa at some point.  She wouldn't be going after Lyka of course... a lead's just a lead, so she wouldn't be looking to accuse anyone of anything.  Especially how her last conversation with Marrok went.

And yeah, I know.  Stream of consciousness, sue me.

I wouldn't worry about it being metagamey when it's conversation within the Tomahawks.

Good enough for me.  Now, a more relevant question to ya: would Tessa have been able to track Lyka down before the girl's night out thread (about 4 days, the first two at least would have been spent in relative solitude)?

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
Given that the Outpost thread is April 1, and the girls' night out thread is May 5th, I'd say that's practically a given. Although depending on where she starts looking. Some search locations will be more likely to turn up a Lyka than others.

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
Well, I'm sure she'd be able to find Lyka eventually, one way or another.  Failing that, she'd leave Lyka a message on the compad or whatever it is we have.

That conversatino though is one I'd like to play out.  Considering Tessa would be looking to have it in a relatively private setting, think it could be done in a PM thread?  Or would an IC thread somewhere be better, based on Lyka's circumstances?

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
Well, if you're going to do it in an IC thread, I'd say come do it now in the Outpost, since Tessa could conceivably find Lyka and Thea walking towards the techs, but that would have a third person present. The other IC threads I'd leave alone, since they have things running in them.

PM would be fine. No need to have it all out in the public, unless you want to.

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
PM would probably be best then.  I don't see her willing to talk about it with Thea present, not that that's a slight against her of course.  I'll throw up the thread this evening when I get home sometime, if you wanna leave me with where Tessa would end up inding Lyka.  Or how, for that matter.

Give me a list of locations where Tessa would start looking for Lyka, and I'll figure out which one she finds her at.

She'd probably start with Lyka's room, unlikely as that might be.  Then the common places - Mess, gym, outside and around the grounds, Battlearmor bay.  Colt's room, eventually.  And if still unsuccessful, she'd send a message.

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
Jaina says to remind you to be sure to post the date for this in the title of the PM. Also, when Tessa knocks on Lyka's door, if she doesn't just knock once and run, someone is certain to hear/see her in the hallway and be all "If you're looking for Lyka, you want Zeke's room."

So if she'd go directly from there to Zeke's room, start it at the door there. If not, she'd have to find Lyka somewhere in public, with the only real option being looking up the shift schedule and finding her after a shift change or something, and then start off by asking if they can talk or whatever. Your choice.

Heh, talkin' in Vent, I guess?  We still need to figure out the raincheck for RWBY if you haven't watched season 2 already.  Wish I could hop on more though.

Anyway, Zeke's door sounds fine in that case.  And I'll put the date in, sure.  Wasn't aware that had to be a thing, as opposed to just in the first post.  I'll take care of it shortly.

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
I suppose it's just easier for him to keep track of them all if it's in the title, since he's got so many PMs that show up, as GM.

And yeah, for a little bit there. Not anymore, though, since I'm cooking now.

Well, I made a cup of tea, and then promptly forgot about it on the kitchen counter until it was cold. That about sums up the quality of my evening, alas.

Sounds about right.  Guess I'll go post quick for Tessa in the PM, then consider how ecstatic she's gonna be that Dawn wants to learn all those new skills!

Maybe she can take up needlepoint!

Honestly though, that conversation can only end badly. Dawn's just entirely too much of a bitch. I'd have posted there, but I'm a bit too tired for proper wit, so anything from Lyka in the Inn will have to wait for tomorrow.

Re: Discussion 07: Much Discussion, Many Thoughts
Oh, I know, but the *only* way I can see Tessa answering is something to the effect of "Hey, whenever you wanna learn something new, come on by.  I'd be happy to teach."  Or outright ignoring her.  But she's in too much of a snippy mood to just ignore... but not snippy enough to actually call her out on anything.  I think sidestepping her attempts at insults with niceties is fun enough.

And if she does blow up, then comes a knowing grin and some ignoring.

Or a beating. *laugh* Don't overlook that Dawn fought Lyka to a (mostly) draw, back on the dropship.

Anyhow, there's a response. Sorry that took so long, but I had to hit all the salient points of the description, just in case.

Aye.  But doing so would (had better) end with repercussions, considering Tessa's not likely to accept any sort of circle challenge with her.  So if Dawn wants to stoop to sucker-punching, I'm all for seeing her show just how tough a 'warrior' she is.
