Re: Ep 15 The Wonderful Witch of Arkham Scene 14

Though in very good physical shape, Susan was tired and miserable as she reached the meeting spot.   Though she'd brought a pair of shoes to replace the heels she'd worn out of the house, the flats were also not "woodsy" footwear.  Silently cursing at her friend for not wanting to meet at a coffee shop like a normal person,  Susan was brought back to reality like a plunge into icy water as she saw the beautiful blonde tied to a tree,  as if there should be banjo music playing somewhere nearby.

Ducking back quickly,  with reflexes honed during her interesting lifestyle,  Susan watched the scene with breathless alarm.   Only then, with her inner monologue silenced, did she hear nearby voices.    Now cursing herself, for choosing to not involve her other trusted friends, Susan quickly sent a text to Rory and Zoey.

"Allura captured.   Come quickly.   "
She added her location as exactly as she could.    Then, if she could,  she began casting spells, summoning two golems,  one transparent " stealth" golem, and one large brute for protection.

The audience would see flashbacks of her and Allura being tied to a stake months ago, though Susan wasn't even positive if that memory was accurate.

Re: Ep 15 The Wonderful Witch of Arkham Scene 14

Helena, "Are you sure she will come ?"

Greselda, "I know she will."

Helena, "I hope so this bog is totally messing with my hair !"

Greselda, "You know Helena your pathetic you would never make it in black magic."

Helena, "I know that's why I practice white magic."

Greselda, "With her we shall have power everlasting."

Helena, "Meh that's a really long time I can barely deal with all the fashion changes already."

Greselda simply growled.

Helena, "You know, we have this one here why don't we just adopt her ?"

Greselda, "She only has a spark, I want the bonfire that cast the shadows we all live in."

Helena, "I dunno this one's kind of cute. Why are you always interested in raw power and not other qualities ?"

Greselda, "Did cute protect those witches slaughtered by the world ? NO !"

Greselda then smiled, "I just sensed magic, she is here."

Re: Ep 15 The Wonderful Witch of Arkham Scene 14

Though she considered herself an idiot for being in this situation, Susan had a keen mind which was swiftly analyzing the situation.   She gaped in horror, speaking quietly to herself.
"Oh my god.....those two freaks are after ME!  and using Allura as bait!"

Indignant anger filled the brunette as she sent the beefier golem to beat the daylights out of the two women, while she and the clear golem moved to free Allura.

OOC: 23:09, Today: Susan Eisenberg rolled 6,3,8,7,1 using d6,d8,d10,d8,d8. Allura, power, summoning,  2 d8 golem.
14 + 7. I think.

Re: Ep 15 The Wonderful Witch of Arkham Scene 14

The brutish Golem walks up with a grinding of stone on stone and the slosh of wading through the bog towards the women.

Helena screams and hides behind a tree.

Greselda chuckles, "Really ? childsplay !" She waves her hand and the stone golem dissolves into nothingness banished back within the earth.

The audience see's Susan circling around behind the tree Allura is tied to the ropes are thick but Susan manages to untie them and her invisible golem catches Allura before she falls into the bog.

Greselda, "You really think you can get away with such a little ploy ?" She says looking off the direction the golem had come from.

Helena seems to see Susan and waves with her hand as if telling her to flee. She then moves up to Greselda, "You handled that well."

Greselda snaps, "No thanks to you !"

The audience see's the women look like older versions of Susan herself.

Susan also gets a plot point as her summons was dismissed.

" ....no, just need to keep you busy to get Allura away. ....  " Susan spoke under her breath, for the benefit of the audience.   She turned to the stealth golem.

Ok you take a D10 exhausted stress but your not taken out of the scene.

The Invisible golem starts to spirit Allura away. While the woman in black says, "We only wanted to speak with you. So sit down and listen ! It could have been much worse if you had no use."

OOC:  okay.

Susan can feel sweat trickle down her back and forehead as she strained against the other woman's formidable magic.  Trying to not sound like she was catching her breath,  she yelled back snarkily.
"Yeah, right!   Because EVERY good conversation starts with a good old fashioned kidnapping!   if you just wanted to talk you could have just called.   So, now that we're besties,  what do you want?"

Re: Ep 15 The Wonderful Witch of Arkham Scene 14

"Why simply to offer for you to join our coven. Your magic is powerful yet not refined. There is much you could learn from us." Says Greselda.

Helena smiles, "We did call you silly, using your friends voice and phone. Now Greselda let me do the talking. Your a bit intimidating."

Greselda looks with disgust at Helena, "By all means, go ahead with your olive branch."

Helena walks over, "We sensed you right away and watched, though well I confused your friend with you. Oooopsie. At any rate, we would like you to stay with us and add your magic to our own. It's too dangerous for you on your own."

Before " olive branch girl" got far, Susan held up a hand.
"That's far enough!!!   Don't pretend that kidnapping my friend and lying to me is IN ANY WAY anything but proof that you two can't be trusted.   If you're really serious about teaching me anything,  then I'll need some time to think about it.    Tell you what.....how about you ladies meet me at the Starbucks downtown tomorrow afternoon?   say, at four o'clock?    Maybe then we can have a civilized conversation. Re: Ep 15 The Wonderful Witch of Arkham Scene 14

Greselda, "No, your planning on alerting the authorities for your own petty revenge. You think about it. My sister and I will be in touch in our own good time."

Helena nibbles her bottom lip, "You really should stay there is so much we could teach you. You should check on your friend though she shouldn't have been unconscious so long."

Helena looked concerned and then turned walking back to Greselda, "Ok I guess we can go, she is as stubborn and prideful as you are."

Greselda smiled, "You say that like it's a bad thing."

The two turn into crows and fly off.

The thing that struck Susan is how much they looked like and sounded like older versions of herself.

Re: Ep 15 The Wonderful Witch of Arkham Scene 14

Susan watched them go, holding her tongue through what the audience could tell were several angry retorts on the tip of her tongue.    She watched the crows until they were out of sight,  then moved cautiously back to her car, reaching out to bring the golem back to her.   She was obviously disturbed by what she'd seen, especially their resemblance to her.  She wished she knew more about her extended family,  though perhaps it was magic that caused the resemblance?    Even more disturbing.
