Location: Eisenberg Estate

Rory and Susan are near her computer as she goes online.

Susan dressed very fashionably, but somewhat demurely, as her mother insisted, sat at her computer with Rory nearby.  The door to her room was open, as her parents, as much as they liked "that nice gentile boy", they weren't about to let a teenage boy alone in their daughter's room.
The pretty brunette worked diligently on her computer search, trying to be circumspect, though having the handsome young man in her room was much more distracting than she'd have liked.  Or less distracting than she'd have liked.  She had a look on her face, when she thought Rory wasn't looking, that clearly said she wasn't sure herself anymore.

Rory turned around as Susan pulled one of her looks. He stayed silent for a moment and seemed somewhat hesitant. "Sorry, this is probably weird. I can leave if you want."

Susan sighed and smiled sheepishly, obviously forgetting how perceptive Rory was.  She shook her head and looked at the handsome man, biting her lip for a second to gather her words.
"No, no, it's okay....this is important stuff, so it trumps my whiny insecurities about life.  Don't worry, I want you to stay."

Rory was rubbing the back of his neck, not quite sure what to say. "Well, I know that I said that I wouldn't but I could go back to the library and look through some of the older tomes."

Susan bit her lip nervously, though she tried to look nonchalant and neutral about the idea.
"Um...well, you could certainly do that ,but considering what happened to me last time, perhaps it's best to not do something like that by yourself.  You know, take a 'spellbook buddy' or something?"
She smiled uncertainly.

Rory seemed thoughtful. "Good idea, maybe I should call Zoey..." He then offered Susan a grin. "Just kidding. I'm happy to work on this together if you are. I'm sure that we would cover more ground together anyway but you're right. We should be careful."

Giving the painfully handsome boy a knowing, and sheepish, smile, Susan reached out to put a comforting hand on Rory's muscular arm.
" Don't worry,  Rory.   I won't hold it against you no matter what you'd be more comfortable doing.   And no matter what happens,  I'll always be your friend. "

"Thanks, I'll always consider you a friend too. Especially, after everything we've been through together. " Rory looked back at the computer. "So what do you want to do about our Pharaoh project."

OoC: Rory won't contest this roll as it seems appropriate not to.

Susan smiled and turned back to the computer.  She bit her lip thoughtfully.
"It may take more time, but I want to be subtle and snoop for signs of what this Dark Pharoah is, and who might be interested in it today.  That book ending up in the library can't be random chance, or a dumb mistake.  I wonder if we had some kind of surveillance footage to see who's come and gone from there?"

"You may be onto something, good move!" Rory was slightly thoughtful. "There are cameras at the entrance and by the counter, near the entrance to the restricted section. It's stored on an encrypted server for security measures, I could bring it up if you want? We should be able to spot anyone suspicious entering the library."

OoC: Spent a PP for partial camera coverage.

Susan smiled brightly.
"Cool Beans!!!  Thanks, Rory!"
She would relinquish the computer if need be.

Rory, logged into his personal account and turned on the cameras to the library, hoping to spot something helpful.

Something odd is Rory sees only his father heading into the private stacks of the library.
His father seems to be carrying a book. It takes a while to see that it seems to be the Egyptian book. He has to clean up the quality a lot.

Susan watched carefully.
"Anything I can do to help?"

Rory nodded. "Yes, we should keep an eye out for anything unusual." Rory pointed towards his father. "That seems to be my dad carrying the book into the private section."

OoC: Is this current footage or a playback from earlier footage?

Double checking it is a play back from earlier that morning.

Rory seemed confused. "It's a playback. What would my dad have been doing with the book this morning? He didn't seem to know anything about it earlier."

Susan frowned in thought.
"Perhaps it grabbed his mind the way it grabbed mine?"

"And he has it again now..." Rory seemed concerned."I think that I'll phone him."
