The teacher is discussing the science fair and how he expects to see good things from this class. He looks at Rory for a bit longer as he gazes over the class.

Zoey whispered to Rory in a joking voice, "That's right. Nothing but the best from you Mr. Terrence. A+ all the way."

Amanda whispers to herself, "No pressure, no pressure."

Zoey smiled at her sister, "Hey, don't worry.  You've got this."

Amanda nodded, "I just want to do really well. Maybe I am an egghead too."

Rory whispered back. "There's nothing wrong with that."

"Hey, did you find out what was wrong with Susan this morning?  I mean, did she just wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something?"

"I'm not sure what it was. I think that it was something to do with the science fair."

"She cant be that stressed out about it.  Can she?  She'll be fine after this whole thing is done.  I mean, this is a big grade for all of us. Who wouldn't be stressed?"

"I guess..."

"Oh that's right. You wouldn't be stressed about this."  Zoey smiled then started tapping the end of her pen on the table in time with the second hand on the clock.

Amadna raises her hand, "Teacher how many of us can be in a group ?"

The teacher says, "Were going with teams of two this year and it is going to be competitive to bring out the best. This years projects are going to be based on the ecosystem, biology, medicine, conservation and Global warming."

Zoey perked up a little and asked, "What are the restrictions this year?"

"There goes Mr Butler..."

The teacher smiles, "Restrictions ? Well nothing that can harm the judges or your fellow students. Also this year is opening up to social projects as well as physical ones."

"I mean as far as pairs go.  Couples and relatives, that kind of restriction."

Zoey considered the social project, it seemed on the interesting side.

A bunch of students look at Zoey then at the teacher.

Teacher, "We would rather see students that are not relatives or dating as members of a team. Since not every student has access to each other and the time that family or close friends have."

The bell rings and a lot of the students start taking up their pairings and Rory gets lots of people wanting to pair up with him.

"Well that's a bummer," she mumbled to herself.

Zoey looked to Amanda "Do you want to see if he'll let us pair up, since you're new here?"

Amanda looks really sad at the news.

She looks over at Zoey, "I don't think they want us too. I really need to hit a water fountain, I feel dehydrated."

Rory seemed to be doing his best to politely decline the offers.

"You could pair up with Allura or Susan too. How about our friend Hal?  Maybe he wouldn't mind pairing up with you?  He's pretty cool and smart too."

Zoey walked with Amanda to a water fountain, "You should start carrying around an extra bottle of water with you wherever you go.  Fill this one up and take it to class with you. I've got an extra in my locker I'll grab."
