Susan looked at Zoey, questioningly.
"Interesting idea, certainly.   It would be hard to compete with Gatorade and PowerAde, though.
But maybe something with more minerals and more vitamins, or something.
I'll have to look into that."

Zoey chuckled, "I was kinda kidding.  That just sounds like too much work right now, and lets face it I really dont have that much time on my hands.  But, you know we could always plan that for when we all graduate."

She looked at her younger sister and smiled playfully, "So, Sis.  Got any boyfriends in Atlantis?"

Amanda was silent for a bit, "Of course I am very popular back home." Her skin tinged a bit blue in embarrassment.

"Well then, you'll have to introduce me to some of your friends when I visit."

She looked at the algae.  "When do we have to have our projects at the school for the science fair?  I was thinking we could set up a little early maybe."

"Well not yet, I want to see if we can get it to glow different colors."

"Different colors?  That sounds cool, but how?  Maybe with food coloring."

"I am not sure, green is cool but to be able to have whatever color you want would be nice too. Like Mood Algae, but well. I don't think I know how to do that."

"Wow Amanda, that's an awesome idea.  I bet Atlantis or Oceana would have some ideas we could use, check out a library there or something.  Mood algae.  I like it."

Susan smiled wryly.
"We should be careful about using too many atlantian secrets,  you know.  I suspect it's considered bad form to used advanced tech from a secret society,  at least more than is absolutely necessary "

"Huh.  Yeah, I guess you're right Susan."  Zoey laughed, "We'll keep the Mood Algae as a home project then.  Its still a cool idea."

Susan smiled.
"Wait.....would the Mood Algae glow for our mood, or ITS mood?"

"Um, our moods. That would be the idea anyway.  It would have to be 'alive', sentient...that's the word right?...to be able to have moods, wouldn't it?"

Susan bit her lip, her eyes narrowing in concern.
"hmmmm....I dunno about that.  Sounds a little creepy to have sentient algae,  especially if it's only job is monitoring our moods.   I'd be kind of annoyed if I were the algea."

Amanda laughs, "Good thing your not algae then."

Zoey laughed with her sister.  "I definitely wouldn't want to be the algae either in that case.  Especially with a bunch of teenagers around. Imagine the colors it would change into all at once."

In reply to Zoey Krass (msg # 24):

Susan smiled sheepishly.
"Any Mood Algae around ME would probably catch on fire, eventually."

Zoey looked at Susan, "At least it'll be in water. It wont burn for long."

Susan chuckled.
"Knowing MY moods....I wouldn't count on it making a difference."

There is a knock at Zoey's door.

Zoey gets up and walks to the door and opens it.

A pizza guy is outside with two pies.

Zoey looks at the guy confused, "Uh, we didn't order any pizza. Who are you looking for?"

"Uhm I... I ordered the pizza." Amanda said embarrassed.

She smiled at her sister then turned back to the delivery guy.  "I guess I was wrong. How much do I owe you?"

Zoey will pay for the pizzas and tip.

As everyone is focused on the pizza guy a shadowy form flowed into the algae.
