Scene Zoey's home

Amanda is reading over a glowing hologram of Atlantean writing. A smile crosses her face. "Alright ! I am sure that I can make it mood algae !"

She starts working on the algae tinkering with it and injecting some materials from what looked like a small squid that was wrapped about one of her wrists.

"Why says ancient Atlanteans didn't know their stuff !"

She turns the hologram off and curls up on Zoey's sofa getting some sleep.


Zoey opens the door to her place after a visit to the hospital where Sam needed to return to for a relapse of whatever was going on and the doctor wouldn't let her see him only letting family.

Zoey tosses her keys onto the stand by her door when she walks in, scoops Otto up into her arms and snuggles him as she plops down in a chair next to the couch. "Hey buddy, how you doing tonight? Keeping Amanda company? Can you believe they wouldnt let me see Sam? Im not family."  She scratches his chin and lets out a sad sigh.  "I hope he's going to be okay."

She leaned forward to look at the algae.

Otto snuggles up with Zoey and makes cute sounds.

As Zoey looks at the algae it is still glowing lightly providing a bit of light.

"Im watching it like its a fish or something."  Zoey shook her head and smiled down at Otto. "Maybe I need to get out for a bit. What do you think?  I dont know either."

She leaned back and took out her phone to send Sam a text message. 'Let me know what the docs say, Im worried about you.'

After a few minutes of playing with Otto, Zoey heads down the back stairs to the main part of the house, to where her dad would likely be in the living room.  "Pops, you here?" She called out.

As Zoey heads out the algae floats over to where Zoey and Otto are as Zoey heads down stairs. Two shoots of Algae hit the tank and the glow changes to a light blue.

Otto follows Zoey downstairs.

Zoey's dad smiles, "Over here cleaning some antiquities, what's up you look sad."

She starts helping with the antiques and shrugs. "Sam's back in the hospital, they don't know what's wrong with him. And they said I couldn't see him because I wasn't family. I'm worried about him."

"How's your night going? I guess Amanda is going to crash over tonight if that's all right?"

Zoey's dad nods, "She seems to be a really hard worker, I hope your friend Sam is ok too."

Otto rubs up against an antique to help with the cleaning.

"I hope so too.  I guess I just kinda figured since Im his girlfriend they'd still let me in, or at least his dad would, to see him.  He keeps getting dehydrated and they dont know what's causing it."

Zoey wiped the new antiques with a soft cloth, "Where'd you get this stuff, it looks new?"  She looked thoughtful a moment then smiled at Perry, "You know, Amanda and I can go looking for some new stuff for the shop. I haven't done that for you in a while, and it'd be kind of fun having my little sister come along with me."

"Oh, by the way, the science fair is coming up soon. Thought I'd tell you so you can come too."

Zoey's dad nodded, "I think Sam's father probably wants to know himself what is wrong before anyone else, is it something contagious do you think ?"

"Oh this stuff, had this gentlemen come in and sell it. Some of it looks like it is ancient but it can't be." He then smiled a bit, "Your sister told me about the fair why don't you focus on that. We can hold off on sending you treasure hunting for a bit. After all you want to get into a good college."

She shrugged, "I dont think so. He seems to be the only one sick right now. He just doesnt get sick, so this is strange.  I'll kidnap her tomorrow for some sister time, we've been working non stop it seems on the projects.  Im glad she got to partner up with me and Susan."

Zoey picked up a new piece and looked at it closely.  "I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was ancient.  Can I take a couple pieces just to check out online?  Maybe I'll be lucky and find out where it came from originally.  Who was the guy, do you know?"

Zoey's dad rubbed his chin, "You know, I usually write down the name from all transactions but I don't know if I did. He was an Arab I think, at least he dressed like one.


Suddenly they all saw Otto look up and start squeaking.  Then they heard Amanda scream.

Zoey dropped the antique she was holding and ran quickly back upstairs to her sister. "Amanda?"
