Zoey's Home.

Outside Rory is walking over to Zoey's because he hasn't been able to find Allura.
He hears a scream up from where Zoey's little apartment is.

Zoey ran up the stairs taking them two at a time, "Amanda!  What's wrong?"  She looked around quickly, ready for a fight.

Zoey's father is following Zoey up the stairs breathing a bit heavy.

"Pops, you okay?"

She holds a hand out to him, "Wait here, let me check it out."

In her hand appears an ice spear, she was on the defensive as she moved in closer to where Amanda was in the living room.  "Amanda?"

Amanda looks over, "I am sorry." He cheeks tinge blue.

"I had a nightmare, a bad one. I hope I didn't worry you."

A few moments later, Rory run into the room looking around to see what had gone wrong. "I heard screaming is everyone ok?"

Amanda looked even more embarrassed when Rory showed up.

Zoey quickly turned to the door when it flew open, then relaxed seeing Rory.  She smiled and nodded, "Yeah we're fine, thanks.  What are you up to today?"

She turned to Amanda, "Im glad it was just a dream, you scared the crap out of me."

Rory seemed to put the dots together relatively quickly first turning to Zoey's dad. "Good evening Mr Krass."

"Hum... Well I have been trying to find Allura, her phone is going straight to voicemail and I haven't been able to find her in any of the usual places." Rory seemed to be making an effort not to sound too alarming.

"I guess it was stupid. Wait my nightmare was about Allura. You can't find her ?"

Rory shook his head. "Nope, she seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth."

Zoey chuckled, "Im sure she's around somewhere. Probably has her phone off or something, or could be with her dad."

"What was your dream, Amanda?"

Rory notices a slight breeze and sees Zoey's window is broken.

Amanda looks to her sister, "It was weird, she was somewhere filled with flames and lave and I was with her and feeling really dehydated. Then this scary monster showed up and that's kind of when I woke up. I felt like I couldn't breathe for a little bit."

"What did the monster look like?  It was just so dream, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.  At least you're awake now," she turns to Rory and smiles, "so how about a day for just the three of us?"

"It was mostly black like some big snake surrounded by smoke and fire. I think it had wings too. We were running from it. It kind of reminded me of a sea serpent."

"If it wasn't so scary for you, I'd say it sounds kind of cool.  In a scary sort of way. Are all your nightmares that bad?"

Amanda shakes her head, "Only some of them. I usually have good dreams."

Otto runs up and nuzzles Amanda to comfort her.

Amanda reaches down and puts him on her lap petting him.

"Well, we all have bad dreams sometimes, dont let it get to you."

Zoey turned back to her dad, "Are you alright Pops?"

"I am doing alright, glad it was just a nightmare. You got some lungs there Amanda." He chuckled.

"Alright now that the catastrophe is averted I am going to head back down. If you need me I'll be in the shop."

Zoey walked over and kissed her dad's forehead and smiled.  "If you need anything too, just holler.  If you want, just skip that box of new stuff and I'll Google it all later.  That way you'll know how to price it in the shop."

After her dad leaves Zoey turns back to Rory and Amanda.  "So what's the plan for the day?"

"Let's go free some sea creatures from the aquarium !"

Zoey laughed at Amanda's suggestion, then raised an eyebrow. "Wait, you're not serious are you?"

"Yeah, why not ? They belong in the ocean."

Zoey blinked a couple times then shook her head. "As much as I might agree with you Sis, we cant do that.  It's very illegal and I dont want to put my dad under stress like that.  And besides, it wouldn't look good on my college resume if we got caught and arrested."

Amanda chuckles, "Only if we get caught."

Zoey laughed.  "That's true, but still.  Maybe some other time."

Rory just stood back with a slightly amused look on his face and let the sisters get on with their plan for the escape of the century.

Rory shivered as he felt a draft. "Weird... Your window's broken."

Zoey looked surprised and walked over to the window. "Great. How did that happen?"  She looked around on the floor for broken glass and whatever might have come through the window.

Very few bits of glass were in her apartment.

Amanda looks to the fishtank, "Hey someone stole our algae !"

"What? Are you serious?"  She walked over and looked into the tank, discarding the broken pieces of glass in the wastebasket.  "What is going on today?  Susan's not going to like this.  We put so much work into this project."

Amanda walked over, "I know and especially after I got it to be mood algae." Amanda pouted.

"Who steals algae anyway !"

"Mood algae?  What did you do?"

Amanda presses some buttons on a seashell bracelet and a hologram appears, "I guess Atlantis tried something similar. I found this in the data streams." Amanda shows Zoey a read out in Atlantean talking about various programs to uplift sea life including plantlife. Part of it was giving them emotions. There was a lot of science speak in it with huge words that were beyond her at the moment though. Still her practicing to be a marine biologist she could see that the research was later outlawed as dangerous.

Rust saw some water splotches from the window leading to the fish tank or vice versa.

Zoey looked at Amanda, "How did you get this information? This is serious stuff, illegal stuff Amanda.  Think about it. If Atlanteans outlawed this, its probably for a good reason."

"Outlawed ? What are you talking about ?" She shakes her head.

"I just went to the archives, yeah I had to do what you call hacking but I found emotive plantlife on file and I just lifted it for the project."

She showed the squid like creature on her other wrist.
"I took a medical squid with the formula."

"The research was outlawed as dangerous.  We've got to find that algae before something happens.  But first, I think we need to take that squid back and find out what we can on what to do about it."

Amanda, "What because it glows different colors ?"

Rory's cellphone rings

"According to this and a bunch of big sciency stuff, you gave that algae actual emotions."

Amanda laughs, "Your just kidding, you can't give Algae emotions. Can you ?"

She looks at the tank.

"Uh, I think that's part of why this research was outlawed.  Something bad must have happened."

Zoey looked to Rory.  "Can you cover for us tonight?  Maybe keep an eye out for rampaging algae monsters."

OoC: Oops, sorry. Somehow I failed to notice that the thread had been updated.

"Just a sec, my phone is ringing." With that said, Rory answered his phone, checking the name on display in the process.

"Hi Rory.  I think I have just what we need for our project."

Zoey nodded then turned to Amanda, lifting her hand for a better look at the squid thing on her wrist.  "So tell me, where and how did you get this? We can try sneaking it back where you got it from."

Amanda looks at her wrist, "Oh from a doctors. It is just like what you call a syringe just biological."

"Um..okay. We still need to put it back I think.  And we're going to need to hit a library there or something too.  Or at least I will."

Zoey looked to Rory on the phone, "Everything okay Rory?"

Rory seemed relieved to hear from Allura. "Great. I look forwards to seeing what you came up with."

He put his hand on the phone before answering Zoey. "It's Allura. It seems that she vanished to do some work on the project."

Zoey smiled, "See.  I told you guys she was fine."

"That reminds me though.  I need to call Susan and let her know our project is missing."

Rory shook his head. "So much for nothing dangerous..."
