The beaches of Arkham.

Susan is on her families yacht there is music playing on her radio.

On shore Zoey, Rory arrive.

Otto is curled up on a large rock sunning himself.

Susan walked around the deck of her family's yacht, "The Rising Tide", and tried not to feel awkward and uncomfortable.
Her parents were on a yearly pilgrimage to Israel.  They wanted to take her along, but she managed to convince her mother that it would be a wonderful "romantic" week.
It wasn't that she didn't want to go, of course.  She went with them last them the year before, and had been fascinated by the place, but lately she had felt uncomfortable being around them.  Ever since she'd accidentally messed with their memories, it just felt...strange...to be around them.   It was like she didn't trust herself and the power she had.

Of course, being on her family yacht wasn't necessarily much better.  She kind of wished she'd been allowed to take it out on her own, but it was just too big a vessel, and she'd needed to book the small crew who worked for her father.
While it was a bit intoxicating to have that kind of authority to order around a crew of adults, she couldn't help but feel like they were annoyed to have to take orders from a teenage girl.
She'd mostly stayed out of the way, especially after a couple of her "orders" were corrected by the more knowledgeable sailors.   And she'd quickly put on a floral beach robe after she realized that a couple of the younger male crew members were getting distracted by her in her stylish bathing suit.  She was just glad she hadn't worn the bikini her mother had bought for her.

So it was a relief when she saw her friends show up.  She waved to them.

Zoey was quiet on the ride to the beach, her mind lost in her own thoughts of the latest events in their lives. Allura and Malcolm, the Cowboy. And those were  just the tip of the iceberg. She sighed and leaned her head on her hand against the door as they pulled up.

"Rory. Can you ask your dad about the Atlantis books he has in the library?  I think they should be returned to Atlantis."

She looked out and half smiled, "Susan's got the yacht. Wanna go say hi?"

Turning to the captain of the yacht, Susan spoke with quiet authority.
"Let's go by the dock for a moment.  I'll get off and chat with my friends, and call you when I want to come back out."

The captain nodded and gave the orders.  If he resented following the orders of a teenager, he was too professional to show it.
The boat came by the dock, and Susan gave the captain a wave as she stepped off and walked to where her friends were.

Al peeked out from behind Zoey.

Zoey waved to Susan as she came to shore. "Hey Suze, what's up?"

Susan walked over to the others, smiling sheepishly.
"My father's yacht is supposed to go out once a month for maintenance and a performance check up, so I asked to go with them.   The folks are out of town, so I couldn't help but be 'the boss' on the boat.   Though I'm trying not to push m luck.  I'm not sure what the current 'mutiny' laws are, and I don't want to find out, especially so close to International Waters."

"How long are your parents going to be gone for? Rory and I were just going swimming for a while, maybe we can all go out on the yacht?"

Al looks all around and when some one other then his small group of friends is aroung he flattens out just looking like soggy algea

Zoey walks over to the rock and picks up Otto, "Want to go for a swim?" She scratches his chin lightly hugging him close.

Otto squeaks happily and bobs his head.

Off further from the beach the group can hear a strange sound almost like a slow car accident.

Zoey sets Otto back down on the rock and turns towards the noise. "We should go check that out. See if anyone is hurt."

To Otto and Al, "You two stay here out of trouble, we'll be back."

In reply to Zoey Krass (msg # 12):

Susan shrugged.
"The crew will be doing maintenance and stuff for a few hours.  I could get them to take us somewhere out on the ocean, and as long as I don't 'abuse the position' too badly, they'll do what I say to stay in my father's good graces."

She heard the noise, and frowned.
"Let's go see if someone needs help.  They might have gotten their car stuck on the beach or something."

Too clear things up the sound is coming from the sea.

Zoey looks toward the noise in the ocean, "I'll go check it out if you guys want to meet me out there with the boat."  She heads towards the noise.

In reply to Zoey Krass (msg # 15):

Momentarily confused about where the sound was coming from, Susan headed back to the dock, where the crew was prepared to move off into the water again.
She would take Rory and anyone else there with her, who wanted to go
"There's some weird sound coming from further out in the water.  It might be a ship in trouble or something.  We should check it out."

The captain was dubious, but realized that the loud noises of the yacht made it harder for him to hear things than the people on the beach.
Shrugging, he agreed.  It would be a good time for a safety drill, at least.

Zoey is the first to arrive a ship is indeed in distress. Crew running about the deck in a bit of panic Some large tubes are pumping water over the side into the ocean. Luthor Corp is emblazoned on the cargo vessel.

In a burst of water Zoey is there.

It was a good sign to not see smoke or fire as Zoey got closer. She dove beneath the boat to inspect things from there, hoping Susan and Rory would be there soon, and looking for a way onto the ship.

There doesn't appear to be a reef or anything visible that the ship hit.
Still there is serious damage to the hull that does NOT look right it is like giant claws ripped the ship open. If something isn't done soon the ship will certainly sink.

As she is down inspecting things she sees life boats being lowered from the ship.

Thinking quickly, Zoey swims up to the huge hole and begins pushing and puling the pieces back into place and covers any other holes with a thick sheet of ice.
