Rory's home

Rory is just arriving and there is a package for him from Wayne Enterprises on his porch.

Rory and any that may have gone with him are in the scene.

Rory grinned as he saw the package. "This is exiting."

He approached the package and tried picking it up to take it in.

It is a slightly heavy package but nothing he couldn't handle bringing it into the house. He could smell lunch and saw a note saying that his father was meeting with other professors at the university but lunch is in the oven.

After making sure that the lunch wasn't burning, Rory checked the package to see whether it was for him or his father. If the package was for him, he would proceed to open it.

The package was for Rory. Tearing it open he beheld a piece of high tech wonder. Even he didn't exactly know what he was looking at.

Rory inspected the item for a few moments, looking at it from several angles with a big grin on his face. He then looked for a note or perhaps even instructions.

He did indeed find a note.

It was from Bruce.

Hi Rory,

You are one of the smartest people I know so I wont spoil the surprise and will let you figure this piece of technology out. Its yours on loan till we need it back at Wayne Enterprises.

Rory raised an eyebrow. "Interesting..."

Taking out his phone, he sent a message to Bruce.

Hi Bruce,

I just got your package.

"Well, this could be fun." After putting away his phone, Rory picked up the package and took it to his lab to be analysed. Apparently, he had completely forgotten about his lunch...

Rory studies the thing and sees how to operate it. Turning it on is easy to figure out.
Rory is so engrossed in his work of figuring out the device that he doesn't hear his phone buzz with a text.

The Camera pans to his cellphone, Rory, What challenge ? Bruce.

OOC: Hands Rory a plot point.

Rory continued studying the machine oblivious to his phone.

Rory figures out it is a vibration generator similar to the one produced by Nikolai Tesla. Though this one seems to be modifiable with different frequencies and some functions he knows will take time to figure out.

There is a knock at Rory's house.

Zoey is outside his house. Algebra homework in her hand.

Knocking for politeness, Zoey opens the door and walks in. "Rory!" She calls out as she starts walking to his room.

Empowerment

Um, okay?

Rory was completely absorbed in what he was doing and barely seemed to notice Zoey. "Oh. Hi."

"Oh, hi?" She looked slightly annoyed.

"What's up?"

"Hum... Bruce sent me this with a note." Rory looked around for a bit and passed Zoey the note. "From what I can tell it's a vibration machine based on Tesla's design. Apart from creating earthquakes or destabilising matter, I'm not sure what it can be used for."

Rory seemed thoughful.

"Cool, sounds fun. Lets go check it out then. Algebra can wait."

Zoey read the note then looked at the new cool toy Rory was given.

Rory started making his way back to the lab. "Are you sure? I mean if you really want to do algebra, I wouldn't want to dissuade you..."

"Im not worried about something I'll never need to use after high school. Lets go see what your new toy does. That might be useful after high school."

Zoey starts checking the new toy out, turning it around and pushing any buttons.

It seems to amp up and she feels the vibrations in her arms. It starts shaking about.

"Uh, Rory. What do I do?"

Rory rushed to the machine and tried to turn it off. "Don't do that, you could bring the house down on top of us!"

"Sorry. Let's take it outside then."

The device stops shaking all over. Though the camera zooms in going inside the device where lights still pulse.

Zoey hands the device to Rory. "All yours. Grab your stuff, we'll take it somewhere it won't cause too much trouble."

Zoey turned and walked away "Come one, lets go."

"Yeah, definitely a good idea." Rory picked up the device and followed Zoey.

As Rory and Zoey leave the camera goes back to his bedroom as Rory's cellphone buzzes again.
