Location: The Beach

Leads: Rory and Zoey

The two are looking at the different patterns in the sand. Zoey looks up briefly and sees fires in the city. While Rory ignores it all thinking he sees some great mystery in the patterns caused by the vibrations. What was Tesla on to ? It was more then a mere tectonic machine that is for sure.

A big ole shiny plot point waits for Zoey's impulsive nature.

Zoey takes a step back from Rory and begins creating a rain storm above the city. "That should help," she says in a bored tone.

As the rain begins to fall Zoey turns and grabs Rory's wrist and starts pulling him towards the river. "Come on, we'll go play with that somewhere else. I want to go swimming or something."

Black clouds and thunder claps sound overhead as rain begins to pour down from the sky. The two are drenched within seconds.

All across the city people who were arguing look up as the sky seems to open up pouring water down on them.

Rory seemed to be brought out of a daze for a moment. "What? Huh, wait, no I think that I'm onto something here. I just need a bit more time."

"Figure it out on the way. We'll take it to the cave." She keeps pulling him along to the river. "Get ready."

The device sparks a bit from all the rain. Rory is not sure it was meant to get wet.

Rory seemed to go a bit white. "Wait that doesn't look god it's sparkling. Bruce will kill me if I break it. Can you stop the rain Zoey?"

"I could, but there are fires burning in the city right now. Cover it with your hand for now or something, and when we get in the river I'll put a bubble around it until we get to the cave. Okay?"

"That's ok. I'll take it to the car." Rory rushed to the machine and tried to turn it off.

Zoey lets go of his wrist and lets him run back to the car.

Turning back to the water, Zoey starts walking towards it taking off her shirt and shorts and dropping them on the ground. She dives into the cold water waiting for Rory to join her.

"Hurry up Rory!"

Rory gets to the car and shutting the device off. He seems able to dry it off.
As he turns back he sees the sand still vibrating but then he sees Zoey stripping down and just tossing her clothes before diving in the water.

"Now that's weird..." Rory shouted out to Zoey. "Zoey, come and see this, the sand is still moving!"

Zoey looked back to shore hearing Rory call out to her and started making her way back to the beach.

Zoey grabbed her clothes from the beach and walked up to Rory and where the sand was still moving. She got dressed and watched the movements in the sand.

"Huh. You shut that thing off right? Kinda cool."

She turned to Rory suddenly with a wide bright smile. "I've got an idea."

Rory nodded. "Yeah, normally I would expect the effect to dissipate quite quickly." The young man did a mock facepalm as Zoey spoke her last words. "Now we're in trouble."

She playfully stuck her tongue out and laughed. “Since none of the others are here, what do you think about going to Atlantis? My parents know a lot about music so we can ask them about your new toy.  And I want to find out more about the prophecy and I think Atlantis might have the answer somewhere.”

"You're right, the machine does seem to have magical properties... But that doesn't make sense, Wayne Inc. don't deal with magitech." Rory seemed thoughtful. "Well, there's no harm in asking your parents about this, and I'm sure that they would like to see you again."

“Awesome! Lock up your car and get ready. I can’t wait to meet them again.”

Zoey boucned excitedly on her toes and giggled.

"Sure." Rory locked up the car and approached the water, taking his shoes off and dipping his tow in tentatively before pulling it back. "Cold!"

“Don’t be a whimp.” Zoey laughed and pulled Rory into the water with her.

Splash ! The two go into the sea.

Zoey makes bubbles for Rory to breath and she starts taking them to Atlantis.
