Re: OOC 2

So,

I was just thinking. I had been talking about shelving this game for a little while once this adventure wraps up, but would anyone want to take over as GM and run a campaign of their own with this group? I'd either swap out and play their character, or draw up one of my own.

If no one's interested, that's totally fine. The thought just occurred to me so I figured I'd suggest it.

I would happily play if this game kept going, but I don't think I'm up to running right now.

Re: OOC 2

Wait what happened to the cat? Did it bail from the wagon? Can/should I try to catch it? Or was that meant to imply something might be happening with the other wagons?

Re: OOC 2

The cat hopped into your wagon and is staying put for now. It would be concerning, though, since the animal typically stayed close to Wendt.

Was Staunach in that wagon?  (my next thought was, at least he isn't trying to kill Maurice or Pip)

No, I think you sent Stanauch with Maurice because you didn't trust Wendt, and didn't trust Stanauch with Pip.

Dang you're right. Hopefully that's all going good... If I remember right I made my Knot tying roll by a bit, do he shouldn't be able to escape easily.

Given five seconds, I could attempt to cast Banish, though it would leave me unconscious and rather severely injured. Risk it?

Probably. It'd be mighty heroic of you.

Go for it Bjorn, we'll do our best to clog his way with our broken and bleeding corpses for 5 seconds!

It should probably be noted that while Grigory passed his fear check, I the player am terrified of a Great Unclean One.

Re: OOC 2

I agree Grigory, quite terrified. Bjorn, the melee guys will throw themselves at it and I'll keep shooting it until it gets through them, then I'll switch to my sword and give you another second or two.

If the cannons on the wall see that demon we're done anyways, they'll just blow all of us away in order to kill the demon, so we might as well pull out all the stops. The only way we win is by killing it quickly, Bjorn banishing it, or if we're to close to the wall for the cannons to hit us we could have a longer more cautious fight without getting blown up.

Apparently Jared was only teasing us with the possibility of us making it out of this campaign safe and alive. :P

Re: OOC 2

Technically, Banish only keeps the demon away for a month (assuming he could otherwise just pop through a gate). However, usually "killing" a demon is effectively equivalent to Banishing it anyway: It doesn't die, but loses connection with this world and is ripped back to its own. I'm not familiar enough with WFRPG lore to know how that works. If it works like standard GURPS DF demons, then Banish is just as good as killing it. If killing it actually makes it cease to exist, then that would be better (assuming Banish works per RAW).

GM? :D :D

I'm with Grigory on that; Nik passed the test, but Nik's player needs new pants.

Bjorn, if you think casting Banish will work, we'll do whatever it takes to give you time to cast it. Say something nice at our service, won't you?

In reply to Nikolaas von Richtgraf (msg # 554):

I'm reminded of that scene towards the end of Serenity when they're faced down with scores of Reavers and Zoe says, "Do you really think any of us is going to make it out of here alive?" Jayne looks down at his guns and says, "Well I might!"

You've got this Bjorn!

P.S. to Jared: If Pip picks up a couple axes, says, "My turn." Then destroys the demon like River I'd be okay with that too.

Re: OOC 2

I don't think you can truly kill chaos demons anyway, so the banish plan sounds great to me.

EDIT: Also, Konrad, I think you're out of FP, but you can still cast essentially using your HP as fuel if you want to.

In reply to Chance (msg # 558):

Well, anything he knows well enough to cast for free he could use. That's probably not going to be a whole lot of stuff and we could really use some fireballs, so cast until the injuries knock you out! We're going for broke here. :D

Any chance of dispelling the summoning spell before it is finished?, he would have tried that first if not i will go ahead and post an attack on the nurgle thing.

It's most likely not a summoning spell. Either way, I think Banish would be the requisite spell for that.

Ok, just had the thought that if they were trying to summon the big guy that effort could be disrupted. No matter, if the nurgle demon can catch us we would be toast.
