Re: OOC Chatter

Actually though, reading the Rulings on it, if you can steal one from your opponent somehow, then it's awesome!

It says you gather up all the permanents YOU own when you die, thus if you don't own the Mirror, it'll keep reviving you forever! (Well as long as you die from a way it heals you from, but even then it's a draw as you keep getting revived and dying forever).

Re: OOC Chatter

Untap, Draw 1, Upkeep.

Defense of the Heart 3G (4) http://magiccards.info/ul/en/100.html triggers. I choose Master of the Wild Hunt - (Human Shaman , 3/3, 2GG (4) At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 2/2 green Wolf creature token onto the battlefield. {T}: Tap all untapped Wolf creatures you control. Each Wolf tapped this way deals damage equal to its power to target creature. That creature deals damage equal to its power divided as its controller chooses among any number of those Wolves.)

this is happening during the upkeep. Would Master of the wild hunts upkeep aility trigger as well since the Defense of the heart triggers at upkeep as well?

Re: OOC Chatter

I would say no - assuming you are talking about Master of the Hunt being one of the cards you search for and put into play.

The round only has one "beginning of your upkeep" - multiple things can trigger at that point, however if something comes into play as a result of them, that item wasn't there when it happened, and as such can't in turn be triggered by it till the next turn.

Looks like we're done with Table 8 if the GM would like to clear it up.

Re: OOC Chatter

Count me in for the horde game.  Love the idea of adding in an RP element.

Re: OOC Chatter

Start playing your first turns then.  As the Horde I'll post in a contrasting color and boldface so that the horde turns stand out from the survivors turns.

Re: OOC Chatter

I think we should probably coordinate what types of decks we're using, but that's just me. Personally I'll be running Edric, Spymaster of Trest and lots of tramplers.

Re: OOC Chatter

If there is room for me too - I'll join in...

As I understand it, we get three turns to "prepare"... before the horde starts work...

HOWEVER, before we start we need to agree what Commander decks we are going to use.  Preferably ones that will benefit each of us.  I'll review my Commander decks and let you know shortly.  Is the horde definitely going to be Zombies?  Or might it be some other type of "tribal"?

Re: OOC Chatter

It will definitely be unknown.  The only restriction I've run into is that the horde must be represented by already existing creature tokens.  I'm working on the swarm now while attempting to follow the Louisville game.

The best way for everyone to have a chance to play is that everyone eventually runs a Horde - its worked in roleplaying for 4 decades.

Re: OOC Chatter

Oooo!  A horde of 4/4 flying angel tokens http://magiccards.info/extra/t...gatecrash/angel.html could be very hard to defeat I imagine!!!!  Or even worse - 6/6 flying dragon tokens!  http://magiccards.info/extra/t...-ravnica/dragon.html - or worse still, 8/8 Elemental tokens!  http://magiccards.info/extra/t...vnica/elemental.html

GULP!  :-)

OK guys, prepare for the worst!

Re: OOC Chatter

Doesn't matter.  Once all Survivors have had three prep turns, then the monsters take their first turn.

Re: OOC Chatter

Ok, I never made a Commander Deck.

You going to want The MunchKING to join you if he makes a new deck, working out the intricacies of a Commander deck in play?

Re: OOC Chatter

With a Commander, do they count as "in play" when in the commander zone, and thus whatever effects their game text has is also in effect?

Re: OOC Chatter

Commanders are your card that decides what colors you can use in your commander deck.
The commander can be summoned at anytime and unlike other cards if it gets killed it goes back to the commander slot and (if memory serves) you can resummon it.

Re: OOC Chatter

They aren't considered in play when in the command zone.  Once you cast them from the command zone they go onto the battlefield. If they die you can put them back into the Command Zone.  The next time you cast them it costs 2 more to cast.

So if the casting cost was WW and you cast him once and he gets removed from the battlefield he would go back to your command zone and his casting cost would be 2WW.
