The party easily ends the last cultist who was entranced by Lois. They then spend some time searching throughout the room, mending wounds and deciding what would be their next best course of action.
Mevoli searches the altar and notices Atop the altar are four glossy black stones carved into perfect egg shapes, as well as a brass censer (worth 10 gp). The censer is warm to the touch and is the source of the foul smell in the room.. Mevoli also notices with his knowledge as a Stonemason that the altar appears to be solid stone but is in fact only carven slabs that have been cunningly joined together to appear solid. He also discovers scrape marks on the floor, implying the altar slides aside. Mevoli gives it a hard push but is unable to make the altar move.
Burt Luke Clay comes in and offers to give it a try. He pushes as hard as he can and it feels like it's almost about to move but Burt's arms give out first.
Nora comes over picking her nose and pushes the other dwarves out of the way. She gets behind the altar and attempts to slide it away from the wall. Nora falls and smacks her face on the altar which sends the entire party into a fit of laughter. So she responds with rage banging and kicking at the altar. Other than a little damage to her pride and fists from banging on the altar she appears to be okay.
Anmethwen comes in and pushes the dwarves out of her way.
Alright pip squeaks lets let a grown woman handle this. Amnethwen attempts to slide the altar apart but other than a little dust from the wall nothing happens. The Dwarves gladly shove her out of the room with a lot of heckling to boot.
Lois comes into try it after being pushed by the rest of the party.
I'm not some big lug if you guys can't do it by Azi Dahaka I don't see why I could! Lois says this as she starts to try and move the altar. Under her grasp the altar moves with ease and she doesn't seem to strain whatsoever. The rest of the failed party stare in awe. Lois chuckles softly to herself.
You see Azi Dahaka shows his power once more. Why do you all still doubt he is the one true power to follow?
While Lois is mostly ignored her calls to draw more into Azi Dahaka's power continues to grow as her continued success has shown.
Behind the Altar is a small dark, hole barely 3 feet tall. The party also notices 2 pin sized holes in the north and east walls about 2 feet off the ground.
Lois gathers with the injured Galasdaugion and Anmethwen.
Azi Dahaka is willing to grant healing from his dark power you should feel blessed. Understand though that your blatant disregard of my faith will only weaken how much I can help you. Lois turns to Anmethwen
Especially you. The elves nod, and Anmethwen just cracks a joke which does little but make Lois cringe. Lois lays her hands on Galasdaugion first, she begins to chant when a grimace of pain crosses her face.
I'm sorry my lord, it will be as you wish. she says quietly. Her face looks up at Galasdaugion with a coy smile.
The dark lord doesn't accept healing you elf. Deal with your wounds on your own and perhaps at another time the great Azi Dahaka will accept you Galasdaugion mumbles to himself but goes off to a corner of the room to bandage himself.
Lois then puts her hand on Anmethwen and begins chanting. Her hands glow a golden color and Anmethwen notices her hands feel almost the texture of sand. A surge of energy rushes through Anmethwen and her wounds and bruises completely disappear.
hahaha how curious, so the blasphemer of law is accepted by the lord of destruction. Feel blessed elf, even a small bit of his power is a great blessing. Yeah thanks bitch. Anmethwen replies with a playful smile.
The party then votes which way to go next
1.) Crawlspace
2.) Platform noticed below them
3.) The Next door down the stairs
4.) Down the stairs beyond what they can see currently.
The votes are tallied and it is decided they will move down to the next door down the stairs. So the party returns to their original marching order and slowly moves step by step down the stairs.
