Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Since they have seemed to have lost interest once the focus is off him as he walks without looking back at the alleyway Isah walks back toward the club. Using his eidetic memory to picture exactly where the ally is in relation to where he is to ensure he is out of view of the ally. The first set of shadows he passes that he is out of that view and eyesight of onlookers he hides himself in the shadows first followed by unseen presence. Once hidden he moves to a different  location to watch what is about to play out between the women and the new guy they have brought. Also watching the alleyway to see what if anything emerges.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Watching from his vantage point Isah can see the two woman rubbing all over their new mark.  Seductively kissing his neck, permitting the roving hands they lead his towards the van.  As they do its hard not to notice the car that just parked two rows behind the van.  Nothing really compelling about the Accord or its occupants but as they approach the area around the van they swing wide and walk outside the perimeter of the open spots around it.  It seems as if they do this subconsciously and don't even notice themselves.

Its then that movement in the alleyway catches Isah's eye.  Though obscured by the shadows something massive shifts inside it and a large armored looking hand grips the edge of the wall.  Its about five times the size of a normal hand and covered in thick yellowish armored and spiked plates.  A head briefly peeks out of the shadows and its malshapen maw closely resembles a demonesque skull with fangs extending past its nose and horns curled around its ears.  Snarling it smashes its hand into the ground and violently shakes its head from side to side before disapearing into the shadows once more, this time more completely, as if by use of vampiric methods.  the woman who was trying to entice Isah seems to noticce as well and appears to breathe a sigh of relief as the monstrosity disappears.

Leading their new mark to the van one of the women pins him against the van with an agressive kiss and lets her hands roam below the waist as well.  Fondling the man to keep his attention on her while her counterpart glances around and then slides open the door and long slender arms fling outwards grabbing the man's head and pulling sideways.  When the hands pull away for a second the man's head is malshapen and its clear that his jaw has been fused to limit his ability to cry out.  A tall slender man with almost nondescript features climbs out and moves, almost glides towards the man.  Leaning close he tilts his head to the left and sinks his fangs in for a few seconds before pulling away and quickly going to work altering the man's appearance in horrific and painful looking ways.  It only takes a few moments but when the man pulls away and returns to the van his victim is now a malshapen deformed version of his former self.  His hands are folded inwards and appear useless, his ams elongated and flimsy at the shoulders, his spine curved in a viscious manner, and his face almost looking like it was turned inside out.  Collapsing to the ground in obvious agony a faint moaning sound can be heard from him.

The women climb into the van and start it up before beginning to drive away leaving the poor victim behind.  It only takes a moment before a woman notices him and begins screaming as two men rush towards the creature.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Did both women get into the van before it left? ( Im assuming so)

If so Isah decides he should leave the scene before police and news crews or possibly others of his kind show up to investigate this occurances. Also one would think they may be making rounds to the various clubs pulling this all around town. He decides to quickly head back to his establishment going through the back alleyways and side streets to get there under obfuscate hoping to come upon a homeless or drunk individual he can get a quick drink from on his way.

Once arriving at his club Isah thinks back using his ability to recall events in graphic detail to get an immage of the van and if at any time did he get into a position to see the license plate on it? He also checks the outside of his establishment before entering to make sure said van or no vehicle that is strangely parked with no vehicles parked near it is there.

He then enters and goes straight to the back where the camera monitoring room is and begins using a laptop with no internet access to create a photo profile of the women and the creature he observed. He then makes notes of their activities of what happened and what he observed creating a dossier. He then encrypt the harddrive and sets a complex password before powering off the computer to watch his monitors.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

With the numerous homeless in Nashville a meal was easy to find.  His thirst sated Isah finds his way back to his own lub.  Once there he looks around and sees no sign on the van or its occupants.  Once inside the file is easy to compile with remarkable detail even the van's license number, California plates 1 B1T3U.

As he powers up the monitors he can see that the club is packed with hipsters who were holding an unapproved poetry event of some sort but it had gathered a crowd.  Everyone seemed to fit into the current crowd and no one looked out of place.  The exterior monitors showed a few goth types milling about outside and they could spell trouble for the hipsters as the two did not usually mingle well but that was pretty common place.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Seeing what he has seen so far Isah decides it is best to stay armed. He tucks his knife in the back of his pants a stake in his jacket and a collapsible baton in his pocket for less than lethal use. He then ensures his equipment is recording before heading out to make his rounds through the club. Seeing as nothing seems out of the ordinary he takes a seat in a spot in the club that is darker that will allow him a view of the front door yet has the shadowing to allow for the use of his powers should he need to use them. He then removes his tablet and opens the application and authenticates the password to watch the camera feeds from outside of the club. This in case he needs to send an employee out to see if they would like to be seated in the outdoor area or if need be Isah will go out there if things look like they might become to rowdy or violent.

Isah has thus far been concentrating on blending in and not making himself known within the city. Yet whatever these factions are among his kind he is unsure of their purposes, motivations, and intentions. What he has seen is that they at least in part seem to be feuding amongst themselves and killing indiscriminately. He thinks to himself "Don't get me wrong, I have killed plenty myself but not so blatantly weird like and not just random and indiscriminate. " He finds himself wanting to do something about this recent issue at the club. He doesn't want to hack the police databank because chances are they would just ditch the vehicle and change their apperance. Yet at the same time he does not want to come forward to  the society he now belongs to because it seems they are not trustworthy.

He thinks back to the brief time he had with his sire and how he would approach this situation. Did he give him any advise? Did he share with him a way to find others of his clan in a given city so that he may come to better understand unlife?

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

The blade beneath his clothes seems to pulse as his thoughts center on others but only for the briefest of seconds.  It then seems to return to its normal inanimate state.  Whatever triggered it seems to have now passed.  The silver etchings along the blade sparkle in the desk light.  The arabic symbols spelling out a single word that had yet to be deciphered.  It was a work of art of a long forgotten artist and the single jewel in the hilt was close to an almost rose/pinkish color but seemed to change based on how the lights hit it.  Still no answers were to be had there...

The monitors now showed a smaller crowd as the poetry slam seems to have died down and the Goth's outside did not cause any trouble as the patrons left.  Over all the night seemed to be winding down.   Still as the club cleared out a broad shouldered, dark skinned man with a shaved head enters.  He looks around before positioning himself at the door and speaking with a waitress and then speaking with everyone who exits the door in a seemingly friendly manner.  Shortly thereafter the waitress, Cassandra, returns with a small cup of turkish coffee to which he smiles and gratefully accepts.

Though the actions seem innocuous enough there is something about him that seems intentionally out of place but its hard to determine exactly what it is.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Isah stays in his current position observing the man. He sits back in his seat so his face is as obscured as possible within the darkness of the shadows. In order to test a theory he reaches for the knife where it is to just touch the handle. Isah then focuses on watching the new arrival. Firstly to see if anything happens in connection to the knife and also to observe any signs that would make him seem out of place among the mortals that usually frequent the establishment.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

The man exhibits no unusual traits and for all intent and purposes seems normal.  He sips his tea and carries on casual conversations with those around him.  Indeed the only thing odd about him is his choice of positions within the club.  Still when Isah holds the dagger and watches the man it seems to pulse again.

About the same time as it pulses the man looks up and scans the room with frenzied interest, hs eyes darting from one person to another.  After a quick scan of the room he places his cup on the counter and begins to head deeper into the club while casually studying various items throughut the interior though his attention never seems truly focused on them.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Once the man has left the general area of Isah he positions himself to where his back is aginst a wall. He then pulls up the camera feeds to observe this man within the club. He is not sure exactly what he is but that he reacted at the same time as his knife has somewhat threw him for a curve. Isah doesn't want to risk giving himself away by personally following the man throughout the club. He will only interfere if something out of the ordinary happens or if the man tries to enter the private area. For now...

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

The man seems to be searching for something but soon settles back down with a puzzled look on his face.  Scratching his left temple he glances around the room once more before shaking his head as if disappointed in something.  A waitress approaches him he smiles politely and asks to sits near where he is now standing before ordering something.  Cracking his knuckles his frown returns as he stares at the door and slowly glances around the room.  Graciously accepting his tea he smiles at the waitress.  As she walks away he sets the tea down and rubs the bridge of his nose.  Whatever was going on with him it was clear he seemed a bit irritated at something...

Isah approaches the bar to place an order with the waitress at the bar. When doing so he makes sure he is in a spot where he can clearly see this man and the man can clearly see him. As he passes by the the people on his way he makes sure to glance at the man hoping that he notices that Isah glanced at him momentarily.

Seeing Isah the man narrows his eyes before he raising his cup of tea in a salute gesture.  Rising from his seat he glances around the room before crossing to the bar and settling next to Isah.  Drinking his tea or seeming to.  Without looking at Isah he bows his head respectfully and speaks in semi-hushed tones.  "I do not know why I was drawn here but am I to assume it was you who called?"

His voice is calm and his accent has a slow southern drawl though a bit of confusion is heard in his tone.  A quick glance tells Isah he is armed with at least a gun and one blade concealed up his left sleeve.

Isah gave a nod of his head in return to the salute. Once the man arrived and sat Isah gave a quick glance to his left sleeve. "I have access to the private area of the establishment where we may speak more openly."

Isah then turns his gaze to the private area.

Nodding his head he follows Isah's gaze and steps towards the area first thereby offering his back to Isah in either a show of trust or of disrespect.  Stepping with purpose he only stops to respectfully allow one of the women who works in the club pass first.  Bowing his head respectfully he smiles politely before continuing on his way.  Settling into a seat he looks around to ensure privacy before laying the HK pistol and two throwing knives on the table along with a small curved dagger.  Holding his hands out to show that he was holding nothing he claims the seat furthest from his weapons.

"Greetings effendi.  My name is Ahmed Al Faruq and as I have said before, something has called me here but I know not why.  Was it you who called me to his place?"

He seems relaxed and generally interested in the answer to his question.

Following suit Isah removes the stake, baton, and the knife and positions them and himself similarly to what the man did.

"My name is Isah, although I am not sure that I can properly answer your question you did show up at a time when I was thinking on if the one who made me left me any clues as to how to contact others of my kind."

"Hmmm..."

Settling his hands into his lap Ahmed smiles politely before looking down at his hands and then towards Isah, "It sounds as if you summoned me here effendi but I do not believe we have met before.  Such as task is not easily accomplished.  Still, I am here so allow me to inquire as to why you were looking to contact others of your kind, as you put it."

His tone is cordial but his posture leads one to think of a coiled snake about to strike and there is a menacing glint reflecting in his eyes.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Isah thinks the man keeps referring to his hands unsure as to why this is Isah glances at the man's hands then back to the man.

"I was on the way to receive proper training but the one that was taking me met his last days before that could be accomplished."

Isah seems at a loss for any further words.

Isah notes the man's complection to see if his dark skin resembles the unnaturally dark color that his sire had or if the man's completion is a natural dark color. He also looks to note if the man is showing signs of being vampire or not.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Though the man's natural skin color seems to be a dark black ccolor the almost jet black nature of his skin gives away his true nature, at least to those who knew what to look for.  He also seemed to not care about pretenses of being mortal as hischest did not rise and fall and there was no sign of a pulse.  His unblinking cold eyes were the thing of nightmares.

Leaning forward he bites the inside of the left side of his lips.  Studying Isah for a few moments he slides a ring off his finger and spins it on the table.  Looking up for a moment his menacing glare subsides and though his posture speaks of boredom with the conversation its clear he has some interest.

"I can think of only two groups who take their childer off for training and as you do not look to be a sorcerer I assume you mean the holy land and the mountain.  Would you be able to tell me the name of the mountain I speak of and if so, I would be very interested in your sire's name and what fate befell him."

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

In a hushed tone Isah says Alamut

Isah tells him the way in which it happened and the name of the one that made him.

OOC: I don't think we ever assigned a name for my characters sire and somehow the PM thread with the actual incident of his death we discussed somehow got delegated on my end.

"He did leave me with this gift before his passing."

Isah looks to the dagger that was given to him by his sire. Once he sees that Ahmed is comfortable with his actions Isah slowly and with purposeful intent so Ahmed is aware of what he is doing reaches for the dagger.

Isah takes it out of the sheath to expose the unknown word upon it "I do not know if this gives you anymore insight of the one who made me. I have yet to discern what this word means."

The word seemed to put him at ease.  Rising he slides the ring back on his finger as he looks to Isah.  "Slade Paxton?  I am not familiar with thename but that means little as we all have many faces.  I am sorry for his and your loss.  May he find peace amongst his ancestors."

Bowing his head respectfully it seems as if he means his words.  As Isah draws the blade his curiosity piques and he smirks as the blade is produced.  When Isah asks him about the words on the side Ahmed steps closer to inspect them.  As he does his eyes grow wide and he shakes his head as he speaks with a tone of disbelief, "Al Hakam?  Your sire was the Al Hakam?  Tis not possi...forgive my insolence.  My Cyrillic is very rusty but I believe it says the words Blood of the Clan.  I have heard stories of this weapon and its purpose."

Isah gives a silent bow of the head when Ahmed speaks of his loss. His posture seems to relax a bit the tension in his body fades and he sits in a more relaxed manner.

"I will admit i am curious about the stories you have heard about this blade. However first if you wouldn't mind I would like to know more about our clan and the one who made me."

Isah puts the blade back into the sheath.

"I was given some information as to what to expect, he told me that our clan does things similar to the line of work that I have been in for many years."

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

"The Al Hakam is roughly translated as the giver of justice.  There are few in the clan who are tasked with metting out justice to those who break Alamut's laws.  Your sire was one such person.  He was not just a hunter nor a killer but rather a hunter of those who had our gifts but refused the laws and order of the mountain.  If that blade is what I believe it is then it has the ability to beckon our clanmates to it and if you are in a place that one such as us calls home you can summon them there.  I suspect you mistakenly used it to summon those near you.  I am not surprised that only I am still here as most have been recalled bac....Is this a test?  Have I done something to anger the elders?"

At first his tone is a mix of respect and awe but as he nears the end it changes to one of suspicion and fear.  His eyes dart around the room and his left hand moves to his belt clutching a blade there.  It wasn't an aggressive move but rather one truly born of reflex and fear.

"No that is not the case this is my establishment. I was thinking on if my sire had left me any clue as to how to contact others of my kind while holding the blade. Then I saw you enter i watched you for quite a while even though I recognized that you had the same unnatural skin color as my sire before deciding to reveal myself by approaching to speak with you. I am leery about reveling my presence to any vampire due to what I have witnessed in my short time in this city."

Isah pulls a prepared hookah to the table and lights the charcoal offering it Ahmed in hopes of easing his tensions.

"Let us enjoy this import from the middle east and speak freely"

Isah takes the first draw of the hookah after setting the second tubing with which to smoke from on the table in front of Ahmed.

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

Relaxing a bit Ahmed looses his grip on the hilt and pulls the blade forth.  It is coated in a substance that is pretty easy for Isah to recognize.

"My apologies effendi.  I did not know if I was being beckoned to arrive somewhere to my detriment.  Still it is rude to partake of another's hospitality with distrust in one's heart.  I show you this blade and remark on the other in a springsheath on my left wrist as a gesture of trust.  I will now lay my weapons aside and trust in the customs of old."

With a flick of his left wrist a blade shoots from the hidden sheath into his hand and he deftly spins it between his fingers before placing it away from the table along with the other blade.

Then, graciously bowing his head Ahmed partakes in the hookah.  Leaning back he breathes in the fragrant smoke and holds it for a long while before exhaling with a smile.  "Do you parchance have turkish coffee served here?  I know it is strong for Americans but I do miss it so."

Regardless of the answer Ahmed sits quietly for a short while seemingly enjoying the quiet comfort of the hookah.  After a few tokes he finally leans forward and folds his hands in front of him.  "There are many dangers from our own kind my friend but lately a darkness has been rising in the South and is even now stretching its tendrils into this city.  The shadows speak of a new power rising and of an empire falling.  I fear that our own mistrust in our own kind may lead us to be easy prey to this power but tell me, of what are your concerrns born from?"

Re: Simpler Times - Isah Stone

"Of course I have tried to make this place into what would be a good gathering place for our clan. I only ask that no feeding take place in it so as not to arouse any suspicions that it is anymore than what it seems."

Isah places a call from his phone to the food area

" Hello could you prepare a Turkish coffee and have Gale bring it to the private area for my guest"

While waiting for the coffee to arrive Isah speaks with Ahmed.

"My main concern is that I was not able to receive proper training and education from our clan due to the circumstances. Additionally it has come to my attention that among vampire society there are sects and these sects in this city seem to be feuding amongst themselves and with each other. With that in mind I have so far decided aginst revealing myself to the sects or other vampires of this city."

Isah pauses a moment to allow Ahmed to speak and address what he has said.

"I have also made a dossier on a recent attack that I witnesses where the mortal in question was left as nothing more than a pile of living flesh and bone. This one was the most disturbing to me because killing is one thing but indiscriminate killing of a mortal just for the thrill of the kill seems to be a heinous act. The way in which it took place showed great cowardess in my opinion."

After Ahmed replies to this Isah holds off on further conversation in expectation of the woman arriving with Ahmed's coffee simply enjoying the smoke in silence until the woman departs.
