E1S8 - Southern Shore facility - Everyone
Southern Shore Corporation, on 4578 Pukai Blvd., is one of several identical buildings in an office complex with an ocean view on the eastern end of the island/city. Their ample parking area is mostly empty. The building is three stories in the shape of a truncated pyramid. Balconies stretch along each side of each floor, and all the visible glass is mirrored. The west side is the main entrance, there is a ramp down to what appears to be underground parking on the south side.

Ian, Nereid, Todd:
Detective Smith parks his Impala near the entrance. "Okay, how do you want to play this? I'm not exactly dressed to impress." He glances at Ian's current host. "Neither are you..."

Ian:
[OOC: It's a new scene, so it's time to roll to maintain control of your host again. :)]

Ty'daal, Angelfish:
Seen from the ocean, there's a decorative rock garden interspersed with tropical flowers stretching down to the narrow beach. Dr. Ishida's small boat is equipped for sport fishing; it's depth-finder shows that the beach drops off precipitously a few dozen yards from shore. The channel between Aumakua and Molokai is quite deep.

OOC: wow this dice roller really hates me.
You rolled 3,6 using D6,d6 ((3,6)).
So a 3 total with my possession of 6
How do I spend determination again?

Ian looks at Detective Jones.
"URK! Ook! When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not! Uuurk!"
He fights to maintain control with a grimace.

Looking over at Angelfish Ty'daal says, "Going to take a quick look around underwater. If they have been using this as a place to launch the mecha squid chances are there will be something down there. Do you wish to investigate with me or stay here?"

Angelfish is already prepping the Mk. VII, "You better believe I'm going with you!  Give me a minute to get my gear on..."

Long practice (and Ishida-san's help) means it only takes a few minutes for Angela to be transformed into Angelfish.  Ty'daal's frustration with the delay is almost palpable, but soon enough they are both in the water and headed for the channel...

In reply to Amm-Fibian (msg # 2):

[OOC: Technically, against his Willpower of 3 you've got a Moderate Success--good for a page of action. The old coot is feisty, I guess, or else he really hates mind-control. :) If you want to push harder, spend 1 Determination, tag one of your Qualities as the reason for your Determined Effort, and select the level of Success that you have to get. Make the roll as usual. If your total falls short of what you selected, spend 1 additional Determination for every 2 points you're short. If you do better than the level you selected, though, you still only get the level you selected.]

OOC: Okay, I'm going to leave it as is!

Ian gets out of the car and walks around the place. He looks like a lost old man. He will first walk around the area a bit, and then walk up to the door and peer inside.

OOC: Either going for some type of area knowledge/scouted advantage or else some info about the place.
You rolled 4,1 using d6,d6 ((4,1)).
3 + Int 9+ Investigate 2 = Total 14

Should I put this in the trunk? Last thing we need is for it to walk....it might be cursed so...we don't need to lose it.

"Chauffeur to superheroes, priceless ancient artifact in the trunk of my car..." Detective Smith gets out and pops the trunk. "Sure, why not? I gave up on non-strange days when I met Ian."

Ian:
[OOC: Hear the following in Sherlock's voice from 'Elementary'. :)]
The building appears, by your estimation, to have 43,000 square feet of office space. It is eco-fast, per Akamai City fire codes, climate controlled, and the power junction boxes indicate power to the building far in excess of the requirements of typical modern offices. Given the time of day and the relative occupancy of the parking lot, the building is either sparsely occupied, or the inhabitants park underground. The ramp on the south side of the building implies the presence of an underground parking facility. The height of the overhang there is sufficient for semi-trucks to pass, indicating the presence of an underground loading dock as well.
[OOC: I'll call that a Maneuver roll, to place an Aspect 'Structural Analysis Completed' on the Scene. You got a Massive Success, so the Aspect is essentially permanent. You also get 1 free tag on it.]

Angelfish, Ty'daal:
The Molokai channel is very clear, with a strong current. The Eastern edge of the coral atoll beneath Akamai City is typically steeply sloped--but here it is almost vertical. Swimming down to about a depth of eighty feet (the absolute limit for civilian SCUBA dives is 100 feet, but this is no big deal for either of you), you see broad metal doors, reinforced with x-shaped layers of metal. They've been painted in dull, mottled colors to match the surrounding coral.

Not Scooby Doo more like James Bond!  All we need to complete this is a guy with steel teeth and a volcano!

Angelfish suspects the doors can only be opened from inside, by who ever is controlling the mecha-squid, but she'll take a closer look none-the-less.

OOC: Rolling "Awareness"
14:26, Today: Angelfish rolled 5,2 using d6,d6. Studying the underwater door

Angelfish:
The doors are massive, big enough to pass a Mecha-Squid--big enough to pass a Navy attack submarine. The heavy x-bracing is raised, and you can see vents around the lower edges, probably a way to flood or empty the space beyond the doors. The doors look like they slide apart from the center outward, retracting into the reef.

Ian:
The main lobby is a broad space with a decorative water feature running down a sloped wall behind the reception desk. The receptionist is a young brunette wearing a headset. She looks up in surprise. "Sir? May I help you?"

Behind her, a high ceilinged and well-lit corridor goes deeper into the building, past glass office doors.

"Well I certainly hope so young lady. I'm here for my appointment. Hugh Oldman, with an O."

Ian looks around a bit, taking in the entire scene.

"This waiting room doesn't even have sofas and news magazines?"

Sliding to a stop in a nearby alley Time Keeper looked over at the building. It was exactly as he saw in his dream.

Now he was there he wasn't sure what to do next but something was about to happen, he didn't know what but he knew it wouldn't be good.

Closing his eyes a moment he let his mind wonder the cosmos and felt the very fabric of time and space. The threads of possibilities were swirling round his mind like a gaint spiders web.

Tracking one to another he tried to locate the thread that effected the time and space he was ecperience in real time.

OOC:10:00, Today: Time Keeper rolled 1 using 2d6-7. prog roll  (6).total = 7

Ty'daal's vision is drawn to the vents as Angelfish looks at them. He points at one and speaks, "Shall we take a swim inside?"

(If Angelfish is good with it, I will swim down and use my superstrength to try to rip the vent open in one piece, use that as a way to access the interior.

10:39, Today: Ty'daal rolled 2,5 using d6,d6 with rolls of 2,5. Open the vent. Total: -3, with Strength that will be a +5.)

Angelfish signals her agreement, then watches in amazment as Ty'daal again displays his extraordinary strength.

Handy that...  much quieter than my blowing the doors off with a missile!

As soon as an opening is made, she glides silently behind Ty'daal.

Into the villain's lair...

Re: E1S8 - Southern Shore facility - Everyone
[OOC: So much going on all over the place... I love it! :)]

Ian:
As you look around the sparsely furnished lobby, you notice a building directory with rows of office numbers and tiny white lettering beside the water feature, and a few low, padded, backless seats against the exterior glass wall. They look more like square leather ottomans than chairs, and alternate with the potted ferns placed between them. No magazines, though.

The brunette with the headset clicks some keys on her computer, and looks puzzled. "Mister Oldman? I don't see your name on any of my lists. Do you remember who your appointment was with?"

You can feel the irascible temper of your host pushing against the T.U.N.A. effect--so much so that for an instant you are aware of your own body, still submerged beneath the detective's houseboat at the marina.
[OOC: Make a fresh Possession roll, he's a real feisty one!]

Nereid:
As you and the detective enter the lobby, you hear the receptionist's words to 'Mr. Oldman'. Detective Smith lays a hand gently on your arm, as he notices Ian freezing up. He whispers "Uh, oh, this may be the start of something bad..."

Todd:
As you wander South around the corner of the building, you spot the ramp into the underground parking garage. Peering in past the card-swipe entry barricade you can see a few vehicles and quite a few empty spaces. At the far side of the parking area is a cluster of elevators--and one very wide elevator, directly in line with the entrance. You could drive a semi into that thing, easily...

Angelfish, Ty'daal:
It's tough to get a grip on the vent cover, but Ty'daal braces his feet against the metal, and his alien musculature bulges as he bends it back, opening one of the purge vents in the massive door. The cover is half-inch thick steel plate--but it's dwarfed by the thickness of the door itself.

Swimming inside, you find yourselves in a huge flooded chamber. The floor would be big enough to play football on--if it weren't covered with heavy hydraulic-lifters and folded mechanical armatures. There is some light filtering down from above the silvery sheen of the water's surface, about fifty feet above you.
[OOC: Make Coordination rolls to sneak in without being noticed. The Difficulty is 4.]

Time Keeper:
[OOC: What does your costume look like, by the way?]
...The threads of possibilities were swirling round his mind like a giant spider's web. Your inner vision fills with quickly moving shapes.

Spider's web? More like spider's legs! Steel spider's legs, splashing water, blue-green beams of deadly light... A man--or something like a man--and a woman, both in danger!

You can feel that this precognitive vision is 'close' both in space and time. Many possible futures lead to it, and soon!

Re: E1S8 - Southern Shore facility - Everyone
Todd's poor impulse control is sufficient motivation for him to hop the barricade and wander into the garage.

Either they have some very fat people working here, or that elevator is built for trucks. But what's the point? Why not unload it, or just drive down a ramp, but I guess that depends how far down it goes, or maybe it doesn't go down, or...

Aw, I'm never going to find out hanging around out here, am I?

With that thought Todd wanders into the elevator and presses a button.

May as well start at the bottom and work my way up.
