Re: E3S9 - Container Port - Angelfish, Time Keeper
Time Keeper, Angelfish:
"Those 'innocent' sailors were trying to make their living by shooting at all three of us, remember." TechKnight says. You can hear annoyance in his voice--the annoyance of a man who doesn't want to concede that you're right and he's wrong. Finally, he continues. "Fair enough. You don't like my way of doing things, what's your plan? Think fast; the cops will be up here soon."

"We seem to be starting to attract attention shall we take this conversation somewhere else before the authorities decide to gate crash our party" the master of time suggested slowly calming down a little

Sizing up the situation, Ian sees a puddle of water from Ty'daals exhibition, and a not so securely fitted power cable and extension cord from the news team.
When nobody is looking, Ian kicks the power cord into the puddle, attempting to short out their coverage of the scene.

Angelfish seems distracted, typing madly on her sleeve-mounted keyboard, but no sound issues from the speaker on her breastplate.*

When she raises her head, it is to answer the Master of Time

YES NEED 2 GO  REGROUP AT AMFORA PLATFORM  BE CAREFUL

She gives Time Keeper an embarrassed grin, and gestures at the long drop to the harbor below.

GIVE A GIRL A LIFT

Re: E3S9 - Container Port - Angelfish, Time Keeper
Ian:
You manage to kill the power to the primary news camera, but Karen Kwan's microphone and the two steadi-cams picking up incidental footage are all battery-powered. The broadcast uplink in the news van runs off it's own power as well. You've at least bought a few minutes, while the technician in the van sorts it all out.
(OOC: Maybe enough for the others to leave the scene unobserved...)
A young man with a two-day growth of beard pops out of the back of the van, an unplugged curly-cord dangling from the headset around his neck. "Hey, you! Watch where you're walking! You could get one heck of a shock from that cable!" He yells, pointing toward the wires next to your sandal.

Angelfish:
Ishida-san gets your message, and immediately you hear his voice over your helmet speakers. "I'll make the call. I've been watching the news, snf it's worse than you know--some Amphora lawyer is claiming that TechKnight or one of you put the contaminants in the gas!"

Ian smiles at the man, "Hey... man... remember, like, Ohana means family."
Ian walks purposefully in front of the other news cameras and smiles and waves,
"Hi Mom!"

Ian:
Karen Kwan notices the young woman hamming it up in front of her cameras. "You little..." she mutters under her breath, shooting a "you're so fired" look at the broadcast technician. Then she puts on a 150-watt smile and steps into the camera's field of view. "We're here now with an eyewitness to the attack on the Amphora Peapod! Can you tell us what you saw and heard? Were you frightened?" Her DTN-logo microphone is thrust before your face.

Trying to take the mic, and stepping forward to take up as much camera real estate as possible, Ian smiles wide and says, "Oh, well, like, there was this boom, and then some screams, and a pretty big splash. Now it seems mostly over. Except for the sensationalizing by the media, it was a relatively small event really. Not much to see here at all."

Ian:
"Ah... Thank you, miss." Karen Kwan says, stepping back and making cutting gestures across her own throat, intended (you think) for the cameraman. "Run along now, we've got ratings points to earn."

Ty'daal:
Detective Jones seems to be keeping a close eye on Ian's antics, and answers his phone without looking away from Ian's current host. "Jones. They what?!? No, doctor, this is still in the ACPD and HMSA jurisdictions... I don't know if he's much of a hacker, but I'm sure he'll figure something out. Did she say why?" The detective's brow furrows, and he frowns suddenly. "Strike that. I can guess, but I'd rather not know." He ends the call, then turns to you.

"Angelfish and the others are heading for the drilling platform. She wants the two of you to meet them there..."

Ty'daal nods at the detective, "Very well, I shall attend to the matter with haste." The warrior sprints towards the channel and dives in, heading for the open ocean.

Ian tries to hold onto the microphone, "Oh, maybe I could help you! I'm prettier than you, I'm sure I could earn lots of points."
He keeps her occupied till he notices that the other heroes have left the area.

Ian:
Ms. Kwan makes more throat-cutting gestures, then yells for the technician in the van. "Curtis, get this girl out of here! NOW!" Reflected in the camera lens, you spot Ty'daal making his dramatic exit from the scene. You can only hope that your friends on the roof have joined him.

Angelfish, Time Keeper:
[OOC: Asuming that you intend to head for Amphora Platform #3 with TechKnight, we can cut to your arrival there if you like.]

Ian:
Nate is already behind the wheel. "Angelfish and the others are heading for the drilling platform. She wanted you and Ty'daal to meet them there..." He pauses for a second, eyeing you a bit uncomfortably. "If you, ah, want to bail back to your own body and swim for it, I'll take care of Miss Shaeffer, here, and make sure she gets home safely."

Detective Jone's brow furrows deeper with worry. "I hope to God you people know what you're doing..." He mutters, and puts the Impala into gear.

[OOC: At this point, I'm just waiting for Time Keeper to check in, but I'll go ahead and post the new thread; E3S12 - Amphora Platform #3.]

Time keeper smiled at angel " your taxi awaits" he replied as he held out his hand to his friend. Turning to tech knight "next stop the platform we will meet you there"

Turning to the edge of the roof the master of time rapped the time stream around himself and angel and with just a slight vertigo feeling the two heroes shot off down the building across the dock and out over the water

Re: E3S9 - Container Port - Angelfish, Time Keeper
Todd:
You arrive at the chaos of the container port just in time to see Time Keeper sprinting at unbelieveable speed across the surface of Nimitz Bay! Some distance ahead of him is a wake like the wake behind a boat, only there's no boat there... Up above, silhouetted against the sky, is a black figure trailing a pair of contrails like a fighter jet as he flies.

The funny thing is, they're all heading in the same direction...

[OOC: Gain a point of Determination, I'm compelling a temporary Challenge "New superhero name: Captain Landlocked".]

Speaking of the sky; there's a DTN news chopper trying to set down in the parking area behind the security cordon. Karen Kwan and her DTN Action News team are heading toward it hauling cameras and gear, struggling against the gale of wind stirred up by it's blades.

Todd:
Karen Kwan waves at one of her cameramen to intercept you, complaining to him. "What is it with teenagers these days? I'm late for an important interview, and now everybody wants their *bleep*ing fifteen minutes of fame..." She hustles the other cameraman aboard the barely-landed chopper.

The cameraman walks towards Todd, camera on shoulder, left hand forward to ward the longhaired surfer-dude off.

Todd brushes past the arm, picks the cameraman up by his vest without losing a step, and continues towards the helicopter.

"My fifteen minutes and your interview will have to wait. I'll ask again: what's going on here?"

Todd:
"Go! Go! Take off!" Ms. Kwan yells to the pilot, more than a little alarmed at your manhandling of her cameraman.

The helicopter blades spin faster, and the landing skids lift away from the pavement...

The struggling cameraman yells over the sound of the wind. "Hey, man, put me down! She's not gonna miss an interview with an Amphora big-wig for you, for me, or for God himself! And if I miss it, I'm on the <bleep>ing street!"

"Stop your whining. Nobody's gonna miss anything."

Todd bounds upwards, holding the cameraman, and grabs for the helicopter's landing skids.

"I'm going to get some answers, then I'm going to get a free ride."

Co-ordination 6 + Roll 0 = 6. That should do it.

Re: E3S9 - Container Port - Angelfish, Time Keeper
Todd:
You easily hang on the landing skids as the news chopper takes off. The cameraman can't seem to decide whether he should hold tighter to you, or try to hang onto the helicopter. He doesn't seem to realize that he's in no danger of falling as long as you have hold of him.
