Hardly an earth-shattering post in terms of content (and a bit over-dramatic for what it was), but I just couldn't think what else to post at this point.

How far away are the carriages from the house?

So I'll wait another day to see if anyone posts (basically give poor ill Samuel another day), then...

Ah, well that's a relief.  It's not just the NPCs that you get mixed up then... :p

...shut UP.

:)

Giovanna - the carriages are a fair distance from the house.  The house is basically out of sight (not that Giovanna knows this) and it would take considerable time for a rider to get back there.

Not that there's much there that could help in a short time.  They'd need to saddle horses and the like to get here within a decent amount of time, otherwise they have to jog for twenty minutes or so.

That's what I thought. Time to see if the dice roller will be nice again.

Re: OOC -  Sitting Around the Campsite.
Anyone wanna bet that the Du Tariquets are here to find out why 'our' family sent a bunch of thugs to attack their people...?

Somebody trying to start a wine war?

To provoke the grapes of wrath, maybe?

Re: OOC -  Sitting Around the Campsite.
Some confusion is possible - I should describe things more clearly.

The horses coming are coming from the direction indicated by Serafyna - that is to say, they're coming from ahead of you, coming in toward you and the road on an angle from deeper in the countryside (so the carriage group and the people coming toward it are ALMOST head to head).

Renard has indicated that Count Elroy is in the front of the group.

And I should read it more closely, I some how got it into my head they were on the other side of the manor from us which is why people were freaking out about warning the house, until I went back and read it more closely.

Well that's kind of close range for a big cavalry charge. It would almost instantly devolve into a melee hack-and-slash. :D :D

Best get ready to punch things.

Coolness.  :)

I'll admit this last round of posts was a bit odd.

Renard:  "Do nothing, people."
Us:  "Umm... OK."  *Does nothing.  Descriptively*

Such things happen.  :)  I like breaks during that - gives players a chance to comment, talk, ask questions, maybe prepare themselves, etc.

It would appear it's quite fun to antagonise a Du Tariquet.

You're close enough - plus they're far enough away that both parties at least have to raise their voices - that you can automatically do so with your level of 'Notice'.  Assume you can hear everything.  Everyone else can assume they at least get all the essentials.  :)
