GM, 18 posts Helping to guide the story. Tue 15 Jan 2013 at 14:05 | Skill SpecializationSince I've already had a rules question elsewhere, I'll note it here.
"Do specializations in Secondary Skills give any skill at the non-specialized areas (ie, History: Lost Logias can give regular history rolls at -40), or nothing at all?"
Specialized skills will tend to be completely useless outside their area of specializiation.
This isn't entirely realistic in some cases, and will be judged more on a case by case basis. So for some secondaries and specializations, I will allow them to be used in a more 'regular' fashion as well (with a total of -80 penalty; the offset for the lack of the +40 specialization bonus, and -40 more).
But for the most part, they'll be all or nothing.

Is "Run + Stealth + Search" three active actions? Two active actions but at a reduced running speed?
How about if we replace Search with Notice?

Stealthing? Or hiding? If you're stealthing, you can't run. Well, you CAN, but it's at a HUGE modifier because running and stealthing don't mix.
Maybe it would be better to explain exactly what you want to do, and I'll let you know what your options are. :D

Speaking of Put at Weapon Point, if you use your "attack as a Passive Action" from that, does it automatically hit whichever weak point you had at Weapon Point?
For example a knife at someone's throat, then you use your attack, is it an automatic shot at the throat with no penalty to your Attack roll for that?
EDIT: Also Armor says it gets 1 extra AT for each +5 it has. Is that in all categories, all categories it has at least a 1 in or what?

GM, 170 posts Helping to guide the story. Sat 6 Apr 2013 at 12:03 | Re: Skill SpecializationFor put at weapon's point (which is 'menace', yes), you don't get the automatic called shot. For that, you have to declare that on your Passive Attack roll, and suffer whatever modifier you receive.
So when you declare 'put at weapon's point' and succeed, if you want it to be 'at the guy's throat', simply accept at that point you'll be taking a -80 on your passive attack (or -40 with a precise weapon).
Armor gains +1 AP/+5 Quality in all catagories, zero or not, except Energy, page 76. That's shown in the example, where Full Plate +10 is granted 2 AP against electricity. However, they promptly screw up by giving it 4 AP against Energy, in defiance of the clearly stated rule above.
Or maybe the armor is magical, because that makes for an exception to the rule. :)

I think it does, but I’m just checking.
Not that there’s any reason for me to have any AAP, of course you understand... Nosirreebob. Nothing to see here.
