Re: Ultimate X-Men (530) Brotherly Love (One Shot)
TK sat in the jet clutching his chest. It didn't hurt, but he realized that this is the second time that his power saved his life. He was thankful that he was the one to stand in the Juggernaut's path, and not one of his friends.

"Ummm, it might be aggravating to him to have myself stand in his path again. I'll just try to dodge his boot more effectively this time."

Just then, it clicked, TK remembered that he did a quick scan of the Juggernaut's helmet when he dive-bombed him. He hadn't had time to analyze it at the time, but the jet ride offered ample time to think over a strategy.

Armstrong spends 1pp to get a "Helmet Analysis" resource

TK mulls over his memory of the scan, and realizes that what the Professor may in fact be true. It was like nothing TK has ever seen, let alone has heard of. But what little he can understand about it might be of some help

Eric laughed.

"Good luck with that mate, his foot's wider than your chest.
No, we won't put you in harms way like that again if it can
be helped, Armstrong. None of us should stand in arms reach
of him if at all possible. He need to off balance him. We
need to distract him. Make him react to us this time, not
us react to him."
he wasn't exactly sure how
to do just that. Maybe he should have brought the Cajun along
after all.

Cupid listened to Dreadnought's plan and nodded. She kissed
Impulse's recently bandaged wound, and smiled. She knew it
didn't really have any magic properties, but it always seemed
to work when he mother kissed cuts and bruises. A silly gesture,
but one from the heart.

"Well, if we can pull more of the team away from clean up, we will
be able to get him off balance. Maybe you should call Rictor and
Gambit. And Gemma (sorry she doesn't have a codename yet)even though
she's untrained she can still help rescue people."
she suggested.

Nightcrawler listened to all the suggestions and didn't
really like any of them. Bringing in the inexperienced
Gemma would be a mistake. Gambit got them into this mess,
and Rictor had already been nearly killed helping them in
the past.

"I vould advise against Gemma and Julio. Zis is Gambit's mess
and zho I cannot argue he should help clean up, I must say I do not trust
ze man to have my back."
he said. Dreadnought seemed to weigh
the ideas in his mind.

Impulse sat in silence, as the others made up plans and ideas to take down this human juggernaut.

"There is no way to stop him..."

He looked up from the ground with determination in his eyes.

"But maybe if we surround him? I think with our combined firepower we would be kinda agitating! All we need is to get that damn helmet off, I'll show him what goes bump in da night!"

The Blackbird's radio squawks to life.

"Unidentified aircraft, this is the United States National

the voice called. Dreadnought
looked at Armstrong incredulously. The Blackbird had state

out."
he said and looked at his team. It got a laugh out of
all but Nightcrawler and Armstrong. Oh well, guess they'd have
watch another movie if they survived.

He stood up and faced his team. Took a breath and looked each of
them in the eyes in turn.

"Right, here's the plan; Impulse, you will establish a psilink and
keep an eye out for civilians. Cupid, take to the air and try to
limit his vision, smoke arrows if you have them, catch bushes on fire
anything you can do there. Nightcrawler, yourself and Armstrong are to
off balance him up close. Protect each other, don't take straight on
angles or underestimate his speed. Spitfire, you try and limit his vision
force him off route. I'll try and piss him off."
he adjusted the straps on
his mask and pushed the button to lower the ramp.

The X-Men descend the ramp in file. The ground shaking under
the titanic stomps that herald the Juggernaut's approach. Small
groups of people race past the X-Men and make for the supposed
safety of their homes. A few hundred yards away a force of National
Guard are preparing a roadblock and setting up high caliber guns.

Alright, scene distinctions are up at the top. feel
free to remove them. Describe your character's actions from
the end of Dread's speech up until your action. Assume you move
out as a team before breaking into your assigned roles.

Nightcrawler see's the Juggernaut storming towards them,
flipping over abandoned cars as he comes, knocking down
telephone poles and shattering the asphalt under his mighty
steps. He notes his opponent is bordering on Dreadnought's
effective range.

the oncoming behemoth.

Spitfire decided to follow Dreadnought's lead since it seemed to have some effect. Not entirely sure why, I mean Richard Simmons rocks.

"Hey ugly!" He shouted at the disoriented giant. He figured what the hell, and conjured up the famous man in his most impressive attire. The spiked shoulder pads, platform boots, cape, and awesome face paint came to life in the street. He made it stick out his famously long tongue to antagonize the beast while he sang one of the bands greatest songs. After witnessing that flashbangs seem to have the greatest amount of effectiveness, TK starts to rush towards a group of officers to commandeer a grenade or two. As he started to make his way, the Juggernaut noticed his plan and tried to stop the young X-man from reaching his goal. "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!?!?!" the colossal man bellowed. "YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THE JUGGERNAUT!" With that he grabbed TK by the waist. This did not discourage Armstrong.

"You misunderstand my motives, escape is not the prime directive." With that TK attempted to stretch his arms to ascertain his mark.
