If we make a Mage how many spells of each level do we get to pick for our spell books? Any bonus to the number of spells if we specialize?also, can a multicast character, say their/Mage select a specialization?

Character Creation Rules updated to answer your question.
link to a message in this game

Check under "Spells"

Regarding specialist and multiclass we will follow the Phb rules. Only human dual class can be specialist and a gnome if illusionist.

Just so I'm clear, if I roll a 9th level Mage I can cast 4 3 3 2 1 spells of level 1-5 per day. From the character creation page I would get 5x the number I can cast per day in my book. So 20 first, 15 second. 15 third, 10 4th and 5 5th level spells of my choice? Then if I specialize I would get an additional 5x from my specialization school for each level of spell I can cast?

That will make for a very stacked spell book. I'll decide on my character soon.

His character name will be Ace

Think of it as 2 spell books, one regular and one specialized :-)

DM, the last ones...

What about number of languages (INT), can we pick more NWPs?

Is it impossible for my character to speak pegasus/horse language as is impossible for them to speak common? Any way, I want to learn it, even if it is only to understand what they "say".

I picked reading/writing, assuming that everyone that don't have it is an analphabet, is this right?

How could I roll Silverwings stats?

Saphire:
In reply to Sol-ess Alean-Raheal (msg # 14):

Saphira tells Sol, "A most welcome delight as she gulps the first rodent from Sol's hand.  You have been a most wonderful guardian and wizard.  I enjoy you company and friendship.  Let us find some adventure to liven our spirits.

You look above and see a Pegasus descending to land near, you know that light grayish tone from its wings, it is Silverwings, William's pegasus. The paladin jumps to the ground and pets the winged horse neck. Than he approaches:

"Greetings,  Sol-ess." nods his head. "And greetings to you to, Saphira." Smiles. "How does thinks fare to you, great mystique?"

Yes

You can not speak Pegasi, without magical aid, but your pegasus can understand common, just fine. You can also 'understand' his general reactions and lots of more subtle things

I picked reading/writing, assuming that everyone that don't have it is an analphabet, is this right?
right

How could I roll Silverwings stats?
You can roll like characters

If you are a mage or Priest class, do you need to take reading and writing as a NWP??

Sorry, I may have missed this, but what areal animals are allowed.  I see Pegasus's are.

I have taken a kit from the "Complete Paladin's", its called skyrider and the DM determined a roll for me.

IMO: I think it is more important to create you character background, than the DM will allow/suggest other stuff.

Yep, this is an adventure where everyone that wants can have an extra character that is going to be an animal companion, mount or intelligent weapon.

But it has to make sense character wise.

Unless your kit/class says explicitly that reading/writing is a bonus, you have to buy it with non-weapon proficiency slots. # of Languages form INT can be used as NWP.

My character is almost complete. I selected his spells and started to roll for items. I won't be able to finish him until Monday morning, I have a few tons of various manure, mushroom dirt and peat moss coming tomorrow so I can prep my gardens for planting.

Guys and Gals,

Could you do me a favor?

Please select a portrait for your character and your companion (animal or otherwise) and also lets standardize the fields Biography.

For Characters:
Biography pt 1 : Race Class
Biography pt 2 : HP:HP Current[HP Full] AC:x

For Companions:
Biography pt 1 : Race/Kind HP Current [HP Full] AC:x
Biography pt 2 : Owner

So taking an example from Sol-ess Alean-Raheal, it should appear like this:

Character Name : Sol-ess Alean-Raheal
Biography pt 1 : Half-Elf Priest/Mage
Biography pt 2 : HP:27[27] AC:-2

Character Name : Saphire
Biography pt 1 : PseudoDragon 14[14] AC:2
Biography pt 2 : Sol-ess Alean-Raheal

Born in Waterdeep Din "Ace" Barracus found himself blessed with magical skills at an early age. From a young age he studied magic and engineering with one of the major Mage guilds. Growing tired of the constant studying he set off on adventures fuelled by old diaries that were in the guild library. Re: Character Discussion
Hey folks
1/2 elf F/T  has the strength of an ogre (yes, I rolled 00!)

Can't pick a pocket to save his life!  Has some fun magic items including protection ring (probably arm wrestled someone in the group for it), cloak and boots of elvenkind, Sunblade and a quirky intelligent dagger that thinks it is a Halfling stuffed into a steel shell.

He is good at tumbling, riding, can read/write, speaks orc (he jokingly says it is the only way to communicate with someone from Luskan)  He also know how to weave and forge documents from his days in the military.

He likes to joke around (especially bad jokes) until he is "working" then he is all business.  Favorite tactic is the backstab an enemy to cause fear in any remaining adversaries once stealth is no longer an option, much to the chagrin of our good Paladin!

read his description in "The Cast" for more details on his past.

And everyone knows that he will reply to Earnest but somedays you may just get a punch in the mouth.

Re: Character Discussion
IMPORTANT

CHARACTER SHEET UPDATE MANAGEMENT

Since money will play an important role in the advnture, it is fundamental that you keep your char sheets up to date with financial transactions.

Please check your char sheet, because some of you have not reduced your initial granted amount from your current equipment.

And as you buy things, give money or get robbed (hehehe)  please update your char sheets accordingly.

The other option, for those that do not do it, is that the DM will manage your finances for you :-) which may lead to some very hard financial problems...

About money, is the maximum PHB initial funds (table 43) taking all dices on top value? Is Warrior 5*4*10 GP?

Holy water, can I take some?

About Silverwings, my Pegasus, reading this http://www.purpleworm.org/rules/CPaH/DD05385.htm (complete paladins), made me think about it, should it be a Greater Pegasus?

Sorry to bring this now, I understand I am very late... Things at work are crazy.

It shouldn't, but I am feeling benevolent :-)  So, go for it, but here is my condition: I need a background story about how you got a Greater Pegasus.

Hey has anyone seen the new Star Trek movie?
Just got back from seeing that and Iron Man 3.
Loved IM 3, but OH MY GOD, Darkness was off the F'N hook!
JJ Abrams is a genius, and his reboot of the series so far is vastly superior to ANY of the other ST movies.
I love the one this movie is inspired by, but Darkness blows it out of the water!

I thought ds9 was better that voyager.  Stopped watching before the latest series came out.  Little interest in the episodes I actually saw.

In reply to Earnest 'Lucky' Namesby (msg # 43):

I liked Voyager, once they got started.  For the first year, year and a half or so, it tended to drag a bit.  The "alien of the week" kind of got old.

Enjoyed DS9 a lot.  I thought they did the Dominion War very well.  Kind of surprised they haven't spun off the "alternate" reality thing into a new series, being that both movies are not only highly anticipated, but are very popular, and light up the box office.

Kind of like Mission Impossible.
The 60s series was very well done, the 80s series, though, while good, was badly mishandled by ABC.
With the movies being popular, they could bring it back, and I think have a pretty good run.

sorry I haven't posted in a  bit, have a Diablo 3 thing going on.  :):)
so, has anyone played it, and how did you get past that damned butcher.  So far, I'm 0 for 6.  :(
I'm using a 15th level Demon Hunter and a 15th level wizard.  The wizard lasted a little longer then the demon hunter did.
Anyone with advice?
