Skald

Despite being a half blood in a tribe of barbarians, Ian has developed a fondness for social interaction. So becoming a skald came natural to him where he can practically mesmerize others with tales of honor and of battle. Unfortunately, his desire to travel had been staunched for several seasons in trying to prevent an incursion of the Zhentarim from overtaking his homelands, the Ride.

With the Zhents pushed back, Ian is free once again to travel and meet new people and have new adventures. His latest route has taken him from Waterdeep to investigate rumors of trouble near the High Forest.

Personality - Ian is easy going, friendly, and loyal. Of course, he can be fierce when the need arises.

Me - I enjoy playing the social lead (face) character, but find the typical bard to be a bit off-kilter due to the performance aspect. I am hoping to try a skald and see how well the build works as well as just enjoy some new gaming with a new team. I have played one of my current bard characters here on RPOL for four years now. So I can be stable character for the right games.

Heavy horses are larger and heartier, bred for labor such as pulling plows or carriages. These horses gain the following adjustments to the base horse statistics:

A heavy horse gains the Advanced Simple Template (already applied here). In addition, it also gains a bite attack that inflicts 1d4 damage, and its hoof damage increases to 1d6. As with a light horse, a heavy horse can be specifically trained for combat with the Handle Animal skill.

Heavy horses stand 5 to 6 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh between 1,000 and 1,500 pounds.
