Air Control (UN)[98]: The hero with this Power has the ability to manipulate air, winds, and (potentially) weather. The hero can create shields of wind up to Power rank damage that are effective against all physical missile attacks of that rank or lower. The hero can also use air as a distance weapon, inflicting up to the Power rank of damage, but repelled by any form of Force Field, including shields made of air. In his everyday life, Baxter is mellow, easy going, and friendly. He likes to help out where he can, and otherwise he just quietly does his own thing. In his hero life, Baxter struggles to be the very best that he can be, even if it means making hard decisions.
SKILLS AND POWERS: Bax has the ability to manipulate the air around him. He can create shields of solid air for protection, and likewise missiles of solid air to act as projectiles. He can create gusts of wind to push at objects. He is working on levitation and perhaps someday, flight.
ORIGIN STORY:
It wasn’t a suicide attempt. It was an accident. I didn’t know I was that high. Literally and figuratively. I fell off the terrace. That was it. Except I walked away unhurt. Nobody saw it. The reason Baxter walked away unhurt was because the wind itself rose up to stall his fall. And it didn’t end there.
Over time Baxter found that he could affect the air around him. At first it was just gusts, but then Bax tried to make a fist with the wind. That is when he found out about his ability to solidify parts of the air itself. He is still experimenting with his abilities.
BACKSTORY: It ain’t easy being the pizza delivery guy. No wonder his girlfriend left him for a hustler. Who thought Bax was going anywhere? Not even Bax. And did he mention…F#CK College? Let everybody else go a hundred thousand or more in debt just to land a mediocre job for life. So what if his current job was less than mediocre? Bax was stashing a little cash back for the future. Trade school probably. Except that Bax sucked at anything physical. Maybe he could fake it until he could make it as a plumber or something. In the meantime, slinging pizza still puts cash in his pockets.
But then there’s the powers. And Rey Rey thinks that this is Baxter’s chance to make his mark in the world. Be an honest to goodness superhero. Meanwhile, Bax’s best buddy Reymundo Garcia is stuck with being connected to the wrong kind of people. Rey’s a bag man for a local crime family. Bax hasn’t even touched base with the mafia guys, but he has noticed them on the scene when Rey Rey has been working. Bax has to get his bro out of that gig. And if he has to play hero to do that, he will. Just call him Edge Lord.
