"That is fancy, but did you even try the doorknob to see if the door would just open?"

"Doorknob..? How quaint." the mage quips, grin splitting his face. He's clearly enjoying this adventure. "Looks like a hallway beyond... don't see any computers or storage stuff." He stands and pops his drone through the opening. "Let's have a look around...?"

Yuu begins navigating the drone through the northward hallway, working the machine along slowly and examining anything interesting along the way.

"How's the room behind? Do you see as much dust on the ground as here?" Zelpuz peeks through the hole. "Looks clear, should we go on?"

"Sure, didn't see anything threatening. There's this door too... far down the tunnel to the left."

"Alright, let's take a look then," Vanyra says before cautiously heading into the hallway.

Once Vanyra moves into the hallway beyond she confirms Yuu's description, but is surprised at how long and empty the halls are. Spanning off into distant, dusty darkness to her left and right Vanyra experiences a moment of disorientation at the sheer scale of this facility.

After examining the room and the corridors leading away Zelpuz cannot help but be reminded of the maintenance levels in the bowels of fortress academy of the Order of Ashes; sturdy and well built but completely utilitarian, with no decoration or even color. While this place obviously has nothing to do with the Order, if he were to hazard a guess maintenance tunnels have not changed much since whenever this place was built to now.

"Well, this looks like some maintenance tunnels, I wonder what they were built to maintain, but they may offer a good way to access whatever that is."

"Well, the door appeared intact, let's see the end of this hallway," Vanyra says as she moves towards the end of the hallway.

After a pause, Vanyra adds, "Its more hallway that goes to my right."

Vanyra keeps moving down the hallway.  "It keeps going and turns to the right again, do you want me to keep looking?"

"Yes, let's keep exploring. It's why we came here, right?"

Vanyra moves up with Zelpuz towards Yuu's drone, which appears to have found a door in the hallway.

She moves ahead down the same hallway a little to check ahead before coming back to the door.

"I wonder what we are walking around here. Let's finish this circle and see if there is a door inside this, too, before we open this door leading away." Zelpuz says continuing down the hallway.

Vanyra walks with Zelpuz down the hallway as it circles back to where Yuu is waiting through a polygonal shape.  Just as Yuu is back in sight to Vanyra's senses, she spots another door leading inwards of the circuit.

"I think there's something here." Vanyra says to those around her.

Yuu has kept watch in the original T-intersection while his companions traverse the hexogonal tunnel system. He creates a localised light source, spreading the glow large enough to feel secure, but keeps his goggles handy. He keeps one eye on the goggle screen and smiles in relief as his companion pass the drone... he gives it a little shake in greeting them, before holding it steady in sentry mode.

He feels relief once again when he the two are in visual distance and stands, but freezes at Vanyra's words in his comms... mundane senses opening to catch any hint of what caught the Freyan's attention.

"Well, lets look inside the circle first then."
Vanyra tries to open the door a crack.

The door takes some measure of force to open, the hinges certainly rusted in place and no small amount of dust and debris beyond. Vanyra does manage though, first cracking it open just enough to peer into the beyond and releasing a puff of dust as the positive pressure seal is broken.

A moment later Vanyra can see a very short hall that leads to yet another door, which is closed.

With Yuu hearing the scrape and cries of a door being forced open after centuries of disuse, he decides to join up with his companions down the hallway. Such an audible announcement was sure to bring any curious creature sniffing around and the young mage certainly didn't want to be alone when it did.

After using her sensory powers to try and peer through the door and finding more absolute darkness, Vanyra opens the door a crack to see in.

Looking through the next door Vanyra spies a massive... field of darkness. Overcoming the momentary feeling of vertigo she concentrates and focuses her remote sense to take in what little is there. There seems to be no room nor hall beyond the door, rather it is a massive pit that plunges to some unseeable depth and ceiling, above and below. A heavy pall of silence seems to revibrate about the darkness.

"I, I think its a huge pit.  Massive.  What is this place?" Vanyra says to her teammates as she closes the door for safety.

"A bottomless pit? What would that be for?" Zelpuz wonders. "Maybe it's some sort of venting system? Well, let's check out the other tunnels.

Vanyra joins Zelpuz heading back to the door on the other side of the bottomless pit heading away from the pit.

"Let's see where this one goes." Vanyra says.
