Vanyra joins Zelpuz heading back to the door on the other side of the bottomless pit heading away from the pit.

"Let's see where this one goes." Vanyra says.

Yuu follows his comrades around to the other side. "A venting system could make sense... hence the shape of this corridor system. Or a weapon, or some kind..?"

Opening another ancient door they find themselves in a now familiar nondescript corridor that terminates in a door much the same as the one they just passed through. A much thicker layer of dust, dirt and grime covers the floor and walls as they pass further into this labyrinth. Having begun to grasp the immense scale of this place it strikes the group odd that there are no markings to denote locations, though it is quite possible they simply missed them under all the dust and grime.

Vanyra heads down the new hallway, before saying, "There is another door here.  I think this place is really empty."

As she moves down the hall the blank slabs of wall are occasionally broken by piping and wiring channels. There are no marks anywhere that would suggest activity has been here for many, many years. The air is very stale.

Zelpuz follows Vanyra to the next door.
"This place is big, do you think it connects to the other system?"

"I wouldn't be surprised if it does, at this point. The effort to build this is incredible."

He steps to the door. "Let's open, I suppose... see if it mirrors the other side?"

"Go for it."

When they draw near the door they spy a faded yellow block with a series of pictographs facing them and just above it a set of 3 symbols, likely some sort of writing but unknown to any of them. By examining the pictographs they surmise this is some sort of warning label regarding equipment and clothing. Otherwise the door appears just like the previous door with the same handle and sliding track mechanism. To verify Vanyra checks the previous door and finds that there is a similar sign on this side of said door, but this one has is red in color and has a several more pictographs suggesting more equipment or something.

Yuu takes a special interest in the scripts which sparks in him a recollection of time pouring over esoteric tomes in the libraries of Ossylia dating back to the age of Zhen Halan. In the early days of Zhen Halan, as they were consolidating their power over the myriad of worlds the Empire, there were a number of differing writing systems and languages colliding. These characters strike him as similar to some of those ancient writings.

Thinking back Yuu recalls that the final year of the Zhen Halan Empire was recorded as 1740, and in the post-imperial age it is the 31st year.

Yuu would expect the facility, if the odd script is an ancient form of writing and not some sort of code used by the Zhen Halan empire, that it could be well over a thousand cycles old. Though he is aware from the briefing in Daedalus and their own discoveries that Zhen Halan did send a special expedition here before the Golem Wars, and they could have use some coded writing. The Golem Wars started some 180 cycles ago, give or take a few cycles.

Yuu scratches his chin, stares at the runes a bit, and airs his fractured understanding with his companions. He then mumbles a spell, gesticulates correctly, and uses telekinesis to help slowly pry open this new door.

As the door appears to slide open of its own accord the trio is greeted with the familiar sight of yet more corridor, this one branching left and right at 90-degree angles from their current trajectory.

Zelpuz steps through the door, looking for more markings on the other side. After looking around, he asks:
"Which way should we take this time, left or right?"

On the opposite wall from the door are a pair of signs, one on the left and one on the right. They likely indicate what is in each direction but lacking an ability to read the script such signs are not of much use.

Yuu steps up to the signs, locking the symbols and patterns into memory. "There must be archaeolinguists able to read this stuff..." he says, trailing off. "Shall we try north? Um... left?"

"Left sounds fine to me," says Vanyra before proceeding down the corridor.  "It goes a loooong way."

Zelpuz follows Vanyra to the end of the hallway to a door at the end, looking for more signs or inscriptions.

A turn in the hallway and another door later, Vanyra asks if they party is ready to open the next door.

The door has a now familiar sign format on it with the unintelligible script designating the area beyond is something. This sign is green though and has a lot fewer pictographs.

Yuu nods to the Freyan: ready.

Vanyra slowly opens the door. "Oh my."

"What do you see..?" whispers the mage.

The Freyan pries open the door with little effort, and sharp momentary hiss of air escapes to equalize pressure. Peering through the small gap reveals a rather unexpected site, a room, not another corridor. This room is complete with tables, chairs, desks, some sort of control panels and assorted devices. Judging by the dust and general state of everything this place has not been disturbed for a very long time.

"Its a room of.. stuff.  Furniture, computers, things I don't know.  I think they are going to be really excited."
