Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Hopefully it will be made somewhat easier as she has been following these three for awhile, and getting an improved idea of their individual scents will be like figuring out what part they contributed to their group scent.

Roll made.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Yes, i didn't mean where exactly they are going, but if the direction they are taking indicates like a different area they might be heading to (to give an idea of who they might be or where we could 'hang out' to see them again). Did we actually ever get a good enough look at them to recognize them if we happen to see them again (besides Vanyra's super-nose)?

And hmm, I have to think about how to respond to that last bit by Vanyra.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

I say you would have a fair chance to recognize them or pick them out of a crowd at this point, especially considering Zelpuz has a perfect memory if memory serves.

As for the general direction you can certainly make note of that for future use, in the case you may want to track them down again.

Sorry for the delay but work has gone quite sideways on me of late.  I'll try to get back on the regular daily posts.

Is there anything special she should know that I know?

I am heading to Germany tomorrow, but I should have internet.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

So my work internet has been pretty much down for two weeks resulting in me having to do my internet based work at home so I have been neglecting the game.

I'll get back into it here; trying to tie together a few things in the game.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Not particularly; you know that Lasrane is a skilled operator though, with formidable mental powers and a skilled combatant.  But nothing crazy.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Vanyra will be looking to move in for a stealth/surprise attack, using her natural blur and noiseless movement both assisted by the darkness and a mild ambush location.

There are SOOOOOO many comments to be made after Vanyra's last response it took all my effort to restrain from saying anything.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Going to need some rolls here to get the action going.

Vanyra:
1 x Acrobatics check to leap up and climb up the wall of the adjacent building to the rooftops.  It is an approximate 25ft climb so you could do it in a move action.

1 x Acrobatics check once up top to help navigate the rooftops.  Due to the conditions you would normally be at 1/2 speed, but that is reduced to 3/4 due to your traits.  The acrobatics check will be to counter other obstacles and jumping.

Zelpuz:
If you just want to chase after them you can do that without much trouble.  It will require double move actions to keep up though since they are also using double moves.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Yeah, I think I'll just try to follow.
What does double move mean? Anything particular or just that I run fast?

And ... yeah, I didn't think we would get to kill him just yet ;)

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Basically every turn you can do the following:
1) Move + Simple Action
2) Full-round Action
3) Move + Move

So the are double moving, option 3, meaning they are going 10m + 10m each round.

With a full-round action you can move all-out (sprinting) at 4xMove rate (40m/round for most) for a number of rounds equal to your Constitution.  During a sprint though you lose any dodge bonus  you have since you are just focusing on moving quickly.

So you answer your question you are running, though you could run faster if you needed to.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

OK got it, got back in Calgary a couple hours ago. :)

Rolls have been made, might as well have taken ten, but that's fine.  The first one give a standing vertical jump of 11.5 feet ;)

No problem for her to keep up with and slightly overtake those guys at one normal move action per round it sounds like so she will go ahead with the action I described earlier and take two move actions to get sufficiently ahead and possibly do something.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

BTW Jan, Zelpuz could also use his phasing teleport ability to move here; phasing from cover to cover.  Given that he can move 400' as a single move action he would be easily able to follow them.

Let's just assume he is doing that.  Alternatively Zel could also phase from rooftop to rooftop as well for a better vantage point.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Sounds good, I was not sure how accurate the phasing is and how exhausting etc. But yes, that sounds like what he would be doing.
And what's this dropping the lowest four dice or so? Can I do that too?
Otherwise, roll made.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Vanyra is going to surprise attack Lasrange while he is running.  At some point when he is out of sight of his pursuers and when Lasrange is going to be adjacent to a nice dark side alley, hole or something equivalent, she plans to leap at him and do a surprise trip attack into that alley or hole or whatever.  The idea is to knock him down with the trip attack and then quickly "sucker punch" him to take him out fast. Following that, the pursuers can then be led away from her prey, uh target.

If she can still do it, she will attempt to communicate this to Zelpuz and ask him to further distract the pursuers somehow (being that he has the gun).

Notice roll made.

And no Jan, you can't :P
(Vanyra has the second chance feat for her Acrobatics skill, she basically gets the better of two rolls)

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Please refer to the Chapter 5 IC thread; it may severely change your idea.

This thread is pretty much done; all action will continue in the Chapter 5 thread.

OK, but you need to tell us what we see of that. :)  I have a feeling that was what the notice check may have been for, but you didn't tell us yet.  See you in Chapter 5.

That's why you should wait if I ask for a roll to learn of the outcome before posting actions... especially notice checks.

Hi,
sorry for the infrequent posts. I didn't read the IC5 yet, will do that next. But what do we actually see from our notice checks?

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

We've moved to Chapters 5 OOC and IC.  We basically see the intersection and who's in it and who's around it as far as I know (Lasrange, 5 chasing guards, Yuu and girl, and 2 guys over there).  Mike can clarify over in Chapter 5 for you if needed, I think Mike's been really busy at work this week.
