Re: Chapter 4: OOC

There are some cracks between the frame and the door that may allow you a glimpse as to what is in the room, but you cannot be certain that you'll see the whole room.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

right, but not important anymore it seems.

Is there a way to make the "Darkness" field only slightly dark? So that a lamp would not be 'quite as bright'?
Otherwise, would work to cover the corner that Zelpuz is hiding with a 'darkness' field in addition, so basically, would that help the hiding efforts or would that be obvious that something isn't quite right in that corner?

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Your darkness field creates total darkness, so it does not act like a dimmer switch.  Considering that you have a personal stealth field though I'm not sure what advantage it would grant anyways.

Your stealth field renders you invisible to sight and sound.

The darkness field would look fairly obvious if placed in an area that is lit.  If there were only one lamp in the area though, you could put it over the lamp and it would have the same effect as putting out the lamp.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

So, what had Vanyra found for a decent place to hide out.  Anything in the ceiling?

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

yes, that's what I thought. So I'll just stick to the stealth field, as long as he can find a corner or nook to hide in so whoever is coming won't have to run though him.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

There are sufficient concealment opportunities in the tunnels here, that given your inherent abilities you could make stealth checks to be hidden.

So just give me a stealth check for Vanyra please.

Zelpuz can just sit still and out of the way with his stealth field on.

yay for checking my character sheet. So that's exactly what  he does, plus thinking about who to follow, probably Lasrange,we'll see.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Yes, assuming they all come out in your direction this would be the perfect opportunity to let Vanyra know who is Lasrane.

I know Erik is/was gone to California for a wedding, hence why he may be late responding.  I will roll for him to move it along  though.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Nice rolling, impressive acrobats.

Are there two (vernus plus female) people coming out into the hallway past us or 'a few'? Can we see how many there were? We heard 4 voices total, right? Do we see any more people or did Vanyra see any through a crack?

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

You saw two people walk by you, two you do not know.  There were a total of 5 different voices: Vernus, who you believe is Lasrane, two other men and a female.

So two went by you and the other three presumably are either a) still in the room or b) headed out the other side.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Does one of the two that walked out smell like Lasrange was supposed to?

Vanyra is interested and will ask if she should just kill Lasrange if he walks by.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

From the in-head communication you know Lasrange is still inside.
Let me know if you actually ask Zelpuz anything related.

As Jan said, neither of the ones that walked by are Lasrane.

Are the others still in the room? (sight/hearing check made - ugh, good thing she's only -1 per 100ft)

They are exiting the room, but obviously not in your direction.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

I entered what you guys see.

As that group is leaving you guys can decide to move when you like.  They are not trying to hide so it will be very easy to follow them.

Made one too, just in case you think it's necessary (for checking if he stumbles and crashes in the table or so).

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Interesting. We should put a webcam there.
Zelpuz is very tempted to ambush them right there, but I guess he can control himself.
So basically, unless anything happens, I'd say they just follow Lasrange as main target, but ideally trying to figure out who the others are too, but as secondary goal.

I'd say so. Trying to figure out who the others are, maybe we can hear something etc. What do you say?

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Hopefully, Vanyra can make some kind of determination based on her senses that might help her know which one was Lasrange.  If not, perhaps Zelpuz would be able to figure it out better.  If its really needed, Vanyra could sensory link temporarily with one of them who we hope is not a telepath type so that she could get a better look at the other faces.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Assuming that you guys do follow them outside, I think at this stage we can safely say that Zelpuz has pointed out which one is Lasrane through a mental communication.
