Re: Chapter 4: OOC

There is a bend in the road, and the "guards" the group is referring to is apparently up beyond that.  They have positioned themselves behind a storefront to observe the "guards".  From your vantage point you cannot see what is up front yet.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Can we get close enough to see what they are observing while still hiding from them?

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

I hear merchant district and I must ask.  Are we in a familiar place?

Otherwise, follow follow, Vanyra doesn't want this one to get away.  She's also paying keen attention to smells to potentially be able to do less direct tracking.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Jan: You likely can given your stealth abilities.

Erik: It is highly likely that your characters have been into this particular district before.  How often I will leave to you to decide.

If we've been here, Zelpuz should remember that and would have mentioned that to Vanyra.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Yeah, notice rolls would be a good bet if  you want to make out what is going on.

Notice roll made.

Also, does Zelpuz know if any of them seem vulnerable to mental intrusion?

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Since he only knows one of the persons, Lasrane, who is not vulnerable, he could only speculate on the others vulnerabilities.

Decent rolls all around, btw.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Thanks to the modifiers, a 9 is ... well, OK.
Let's see what we can get, the option of taking out Lasrange and then leaving the city before hell breaks loose sounds like a viable option too  ;)

Ah, it's good to sometimes check your character sheet. Let's see how we get over there ;)

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

How far across the canal?  I'm assuming not too far because one board wouldn't be stable if it was too far.

If so, Vanyra could probably make it across.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Probably around 2.5m; it is just a small canal for water and transport... though you probably would not want to drink it or even bathe in it.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Vanyra will answer Zelpuz's question by jumping across, do you want any rolls?  (acrobatics/stealth)

She can easily jump across without even making any sound, probably from a standing position taking 10 on the rolls.

Not really; it would be an easy action for her.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

I'd say either jump or (for quietness and fun) phasing.

I'll assume you guys are continuing to follow Lasrane and friends?

You mind giving me another stealth check each?

I figured you just phased over, at least that's what it read like to me.

Thanks for the roll.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Do we have any idea about the area and where each person is heading to?
Otherwise, yes, unless we have strong reason to think that one of the others is more interesting or important we follow Lasrange!

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

Vanyra makes a brief stop at the splitting points to gain a better idea of their individual scents, but is definitely following Lasrange.

Re: Chapter 4: OOC

You are likely basically familiar with this area of the city; a mixed use section with residential and some artisans. As to where the individuals are going you have no idea; either into hiding or to meet up with others or just going home... not sure.

Erik, you want to give me a notice check for identifying the scents of the three individuals? Given the myriad of smells and such in a street like this it will be like doing a search for scents.
