Murgar, I can heal you, but the Twins only have 1 spell left each.  If another Cleric has more I think we should spread out the Heals just in case.

I feel like I may not have completely understood where we are and what's around us . . . But I'm not sure my condition is curable. :)

Hopefully it's not fatal.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have. I feel like all the information needed has been put into the game, but I do often feel like not al of it is digested. People are more than welcome to go back and re-read anything they want.

I hope my comment did not come off as criticizing.  I'm sure it's there.  I was really confessing my own failings.

Not at all, I post the information, it is up to the players to digest the important parts. And sadly the players pay the price when they fall short.

It would have been nice if you had said you had your crossbow out, but I will allow it.

Thank you. :)

It will come to naught.

If some of us are asleep, or resting did we hear or are we awaken by the commotion happening?

If I'm not mistaken (and I probably am) it's while we're setting up the camp.

Abigail is correct. If you read my post, I have you as one of three specifically watching what is going on. The rest are in various stages of relaxation.

If you read anything at all you are probably ahead of the curve. Debating quitting a game or two I am a player in, given how much of my posting is flat out ignored there.

I read!!   I swear I do.

But remembering things at my age . . . that's a different story. :)

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

You beat me to it, Ruddley.

This game was on hiatus for a few years so I forgot that what this campaign was like.  It's easy to fall into bad habits and just skim through things so you can write your own post.  That works for about 80% of the games on RPOL.  This game isn't like that.  Ruddley holds you accountable and doesn't gloss over the details (for or against the players).

Plus, he's merciless? ruthless? Nah, he's an old school referee.  You don't see that very often these days.  It can be frustrating, but damn, it can be rewarding if you can survive and possibly even thrive.

Carry on, Ruddley, it'll take me a little longer to shake off the ring rust, but I'm on board.

Good to hear, from both of you. (All three of you?) We shall soon separate the wheat from the chaff I fear. Maybe fewer players will speed things up though.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Sad though, I once wrote a long comedy piece in which a half-Orc ranger did the 'feeling lucky, punk' speech from the Dirty Harry movies, while using a cross bow, which I thought as hilarious, and didn't get any comment. Sigh...

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

I missed the wet bit altogether, I'll read more thoroughly going forward! Just for future reference though, if there's such a sudden change in what we perceive or have had described to us, like this lake (or a door, for example) I'd prefer to be prompted before wading in. We got lucky this time, but next time it could have a crocodile in it!

Msg. #492 You do not see any simple way to dim the braziers, that is a problem. No one has really explored the shadowy region, except to notice it had water running thru it. You can look at the last combat map to tell me which corner you prefer. You will have to ask if anyone has spikes and a hammer.

Seemed like "water running thru it" was a clue, next time I will use larger clues I guess.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

I don't mean so much the clues, they're fine. But we didn't know there was a lake there from the clues.

I mean more the change from a floor to being waist-deep in water. I'd prefer something like "as you head north the torch lights up a large lake, the depth of which you cannot tell". That way I get a chance to not wade in. If the torchlight had discovered a door, you wouldn't have auto-walked me through it, a lake falls into a similar category of 'new terrain or features' I think :)

Else, I can add parts to all my posts that involve only going as far as the previous post's light fall, but it's definitely easier to give the party a prompt at such big new features.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Does someone want to be the official carrier of party treasure and inventory? Besides the obvious stuff we want to use (like a wand or a neat sword), I think it's tidier to have someone keep a separate treasure list for party stuff. I don't mind doing it, but someone should. Anyone disagree? Also, any takers for the job? Or, is someone already doing it?
