Vagaries of combat though, luckily he posted his own last move. Hopefully he is back.

Just waiting on one player, but with the holidays it may be a day or two.

I'm still here though!

I am trusting to you guys not to meta game with the map. If you need me to break the maps down to what each group can see, let me know.

In reply to Ruddley (msg # 419):

Winter enters a cavern with more dead...can he attempt to turn them?  wasn't sure if he was close enough.

Detect evil or Magic  question:  would it penetrate through walls, or prompt Winter that the evil or magic is "this/that way"?

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Two answers to the first question here... he could try, because it has been more than a turn since his last attempt, however they are dead, not undead, so nothing would happen. Sorry if I was unclear.

As to Detect spells, you wouldn't know if they would work without trying. FYI though, Detect magic has a range of thirty feet, and seems unlikely to be far enough. Detect evil is one hundred and twenty feet.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Saw a fun old timey TV show on YouTube today, with a really clever twist. In framing another person, the protagonist had to give himself an alibi that took away his targets legit alibi. It worked, but in the process, he framed himself for a murder committed by the other person! Too clever...

What was the show?  We like mysteries, and that one doesn't come to mind -- so if we haven't seen it, we might want to.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Not sure if you ever heard of the old time radio show, the Whistler? Turns out they made it in to a TV show for awhile.

This episode had Lon Chaney Jr. in it, the Wolfman to many of us who grew up watching black and white movies.

Here is a link, if you are interested, sorry I spoiled it...

It's only 26 minutes. Imagine a time when a half hour show actually had 26 minutes of show after the ads were removed. You'd be lucky to get that in an hour show today.

Sorry things are so slow, this seems to happen around the holidays. I want to give everyone three or four days from the start of the round to act, maybe five right now.

I will probably push things ahead in a little bit. Only two characters haven't posted, but I pretty much know what they are going to do.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Really having a bad week, I think I quit four games in the past week because of DM's who feel it a burden to read the players post and respond to their questions. Another two or three might go soon. Sigh... what exactly is role playing if it isn't this interaction?

In reply to Ruddley (msg # 433):

Sorry, I feel that some of us fall into that category.  We are too anxious to post what our character does, or what is going to happen, without reading. Or our attention is simply not there, blame it on sugar!

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

I deal with it with players just fine, but honestly I expect more from a GM. And even worse, the GM's get pissy when I bump my questions. I hesitate to use the term DM, a higher class in my mind.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Understandable. There are games that I am in for over 6 years now and others that the game goes for a week and dies. I have 18 games that are stuck in limbo as the GM did not bother taking the time to close it out.

I have found that you can ask the moderators to remove you from games if you want.
