And today's Presidents Day.  Not a huge holiday necessarily, but if it's causing you to not be at work, and like me you have more time to post when at work than at home . . .

Is it? I had no clue. I am old enough to remember when we celebrated Lincoln's birthday and Washington's on different days! It's all good, no complaints, just funny that being retired, I have lost all touch with what day of the week it is, only the Sunday funnies really center me.

I am really getting frustrated with this place, I may drop all of my other games, but I will keep this one going as long as there is interest.

Posting too slow?

I am also of an age to remember such things. :)  I'm not quite retired, but I work for the Government and so still cross paths with holidays.

I had no idea presidents were celebrated on different days.  I am pretty old, so others must be really, really old!  ;)

Thank you Vanv, glad to hear. This has been quite the epic battle! Not many can say they fought in a battle that lasted three months.

Don't be stumped, it is just something you've never seen before. I like to use home-brew monsters now and again.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

In reply to Ruddley (msg # 502):

I agree!  I used to play (in person) with a friend who memorized every monster.  It was played well, because most of the time he was a Magic user, so his character could have studied monsters, BUT he memorized everything about said monsters!

I am the opposite.  I forget how to even spell Goblein.

Homebrew, in my opinion, is welcome.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

Glad to hear it.

As a younger player I had memorized a lot, and I was capable of guessing within reason what monster the DM was looking at by how far he was in to the Monster Manual.

I can still remember the shock on one DM's face when I accurately guessed "Ogre". Too funny.

Sorry about not posting sooner. Went to update Windows 10, and my computer seemed to lock up at 90%. After three hours without picking up even one more percentage point, I shut it down and reset. Hope I wasn't being too quick on the trigger finger.

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

I'm trying visualize where we are and what options exist.  Am I correct to understand that we are in the main hall, with the ability to go east or west from here, or in another direction back to the evil place we just came from?

And if that's correct, conceivably we can just rest here in the main hall?

Re: OOC - 5/21/2020

You could, but there is a very high probability of wander monsters in a main hall, probably several.

Maybe we can find a nice stretch of interstate . .  .

Ruddley:
Neither direction seems very safe. They could potentially go back in to the lair and try to find a safe place there to hole up, though just about all of it is full of the dead.

Vanv kneels and examines the floor.

Ruddey, are you referring to our last resting stop as "the lair?"

What we need is one of the sanctuaries.  Heck, this place is so dangerous, if we find one the Twins may not leave it!

Re: Abigail - No, I meant back into the Kobold's caves. That first room way back at the start, could be cleaned out and made safe within fifteen or twenty minutes.

Re: The Twins: Most of the sanctuaries are inhabited by people who had that same idea. And you are still on level one!
