OOC:If the weaknesses in the new form are not in effect, then use the move action as a minor and activate his armor of assault stance to boost his defenses by +2

Re: Chapter 1: The Land of Betrayal

Great and Terrible Bone Witch's gaze jumps back and forth between the reborn dragon and the vampire king. That one WILL betray them - and probably claim the mantle of being this realm's master once they have dispatched the dragon lich. Oh well. They would just have to kill one rat more. Granted, a very big rat.
''Vampire lord down theres, waitings to betray us!'' She hisses harshly. But like the others she continues striking at Aranthor's daughter - Kas would have to wait his turn. Also, she said that vassal thing.

OOC: Acting before Nemeroff. Causing 80 dmg (and twice the radiant vulnerability).

NO ACTION: regenerate 5
MINOR    : Oath vs Imrissa
MOVE     : teleport beside Imrissa
STANDARD : Overwhelming Strike vs Imrissa, hit AC 43, 39 radiant dmg
FREE     : MBA granted by Nemeroff, Overwhelming Strike vs Imrissa, hit AC 46, 41 radiant dmg
NO ACTION: Gromley's Revitalizing Word, regain 37 hp, gain 37 thp

23:36, Today: Great and Terrible Bone Witch rolled 46 using 2d20+30, dropping the lowest dice only with rolls of 7,16. MBA, Overwhelming Strike.

Re: Chapter 1: The Land of Betrayal

Harald and Nemeroff pound the would-be-queen of Monadhan, but it is the radiant blows of the Great and Terrible Bone Witch that wreak havoc upon the creature, breaking off large chunks of her bones.

She turns her skeletal head and looks Harald in the eye, eye to eye-socket. Something stirs inside of Harald. “Goblins are here, Harald. You must destroy goblins. They are EVIL.”

Harald is filled with the overwhelming urge to charge the Great and Terrible Bone Witch!

She then teleports away from the group and cackles.

Meanwhile, the misty figure that everyone now half-sees continues working his way towards the south.

Finally, Agon feels the mist around him lose his potency. Whatever effect this mist had on Arantor, it has no similar effect on Imrissa.

Nice—after one half-round, Imrissa is bloodied.

She hits Harald, though, with a 40 Will for 11 psychic damage, and Harald is Dominated (save ends). Harald, on your turn, you charge GTBW with an MBA.

GTBW, do NOT take your action until we see whether Harald makes his save. If he succeeds, YOU are dominated (save ends) and must attack Harald on your turn with a basic attack.

Sneaky Kas double moves south.

Agon, you’ll have to resort to more crude means.

Nemeroff, Zog, Agon and Gromley are up normally; Harald needs to attack GTBW and make a saving throw; if Harald fails his save, he’s still dominated but GTBW can act normally. If he makes his save, GTBW has to attack Harald and then make a save. (This effect lingers even if Imrissa is killed by the others.)

Re: Chapter 1: The Land of Betrayal

Gromley sends forth his mental projection, and from that he summons the astral construct next to their new enemy. "And to think I helped release you. Soooooo ungrateful." He sighed. He makes sure to move his friends to get into the dominated dwarf's path.

OOC-
Minor action-Makes Projected consciousnesses.

Move action-Noble presence-Moves GATBW and Nemeroff in order to make the dominated dwarf's attack fail. Both will get a free shift and +2 to all defenses.

Standard action:
10:53, Today: Gromley Underhill rolled 35 using 1d20+25 with rolls of 10. Thought Guardian w/4 psi points.

If that hits, it does 15 psi damage, and Imrissa is -2 to hit, -6 if she tries to hit Gromley.

Also, hit or miss, A thought guardian appears NE square next to Imrissa. If she moves away from it or attacks Gromley, it will get an OA on her. Possible effect equals 17 points of damage and being dazed until the end of Gromley's next turn.

Re: Chapter 1: The Land of Betrayal

''Never ever runs from me,'' the goblin hisses and sets fleet-footedly off in pursuit, her eyes glazing in the zeal of the hunt. She strikes once, and vanishes only to reappear on Imrissa's other side and strike again.
Her attention is partly on the nearby vampire though, causing her aim to be untrue for the first time since... well, actually since quite a lot of time, probably.

Re: Chapter 1: The Land of Betrayal

Imrissa cries aloud as the combined assault of Nemeroff and the Great and Terrible Bone Witch utterly destroy her. She disintegrates in a howl and a snarl of disbelief.

As she falls, the ground begins to rumble. The death of the creator of Monadhan clearly has a destabilizing effect.

Meanwhile, Agon strides forward and aims a barrage at Kas. His missiles harry the being and the spectral ram knocks him over. Upon the second hit, Kas seems to melt and flow forward, though still prone. He stands after this, glaring at Agon.

“You DARE assault the new master of Monadhan? Fool. You will all pay dearly.”

He springs forward with astonishing speed, leaping forward and climbing up the top part of the small cliff as if he were a spider. At the end of this charge he slices avon with a dull-looking sword, causing the wizard some pain.

He then points at Harald. “You will obey me,” he snarls. Harald feels his mind weaken…

In summary, Nemeroff hits, GTBW hits with Overwhelming Strike but not Sohei  Flurry, not that it matters because Overwhelming Strike destroys her.

Agon does a double-whammy on Kas. As an immediate reaction, Kas flies 6 squares. On his turn, Kas regenerates, stands and then charges Agon, using a combination of Athletics and spider climb to reach him and hit for 26 hp damage.

He then uses an Action Point to take a minor action after the charge, dominating Harald (hitting Will 41), save ends. If Harald makes his save, he is dazed (save ends) as an after-effect.

Harald, you didm’t get your turn as you thought you would—please make an MBA on Zog on your turn. (Unless you can save first). Zog, return the favor before your save.

Agon, you get an OA on Kas if you want it for his minor action, which is a ranged attack.

You can make knowledge checks (Religion) to learn some of Kas’ powers and weaknesses.

All you PCs are up!

Monadhan was going through masters rather quickly, and Agon was going to everything in his power to make sure that Kas's reign lasted only a few minutes. He snarled against the pain, focusing a sphere of sonic energy in between his clawed fingers. "I know you, Kas, and I know that you were defeated by a wizard before." The sphere exploded, a shockwave visible as a bending in the air that sent Kas flying over the cliff in a shower of fist sized cobbles. Agon blasted his foe offhand with a magic missile before he hit the ground. "You need some new tricks."

Re: Chapter 1: The Land of Betrayal

Kas takes the party’s best blows and tumbles with cat-like agility down the cliff to the base of the basin. He skids to a stop as he is charged by Harald and attacked by the Great and Terrible Bone Witch. He winces in particular as the goblin avenger’s potent blows deal massive gashes in his side, making him all sparkly.

“I hate being sparkly,” he snarls. Moving heavily, he swings at the three allies around him and only manages to hit Nemeroff. His head clears and his dripping wound from Harald stops bleeding.

It’s obvious to Nemeroff and Gromley that Kas is a vampire but apart from that, they don’t know too much more. Agon knows a lot more about the vampire, though.
Kas starts his turn regenerating and taking his ongoing, which offset. He takes an attack against all three allies and only hits Nemeroff (AC 46) for 16 hp damage. He then makes his save vs. dazed and ongoing 20. His dominate power recharges as well.

Nemeroff, I assume you want to teleport next to him somewhere and take that attack. Include that in your turn. I doublt you'll be able to make him miss you, but you get the free attack.

As the vampire slashed at Nemeroff, he slashed at the same time to deflect the shot that was aimed at him, following Kas over the ledge as the blade bit into him. As the Warlord landed next to the foe, his glaive dripped with acid and slashed into the creature once again.

Now using his projected conciouness, Gromley keeps up the attack on the vampire-trying to disable his senses...

OOC-Using projected consciousness to target Kas. Making Sure Gromley stays where he is-so Kas does not have LOS to him.

Otherwise same action as last round.
