Darratheir nodded as well. "I'm fine with going East. It was the path guarded by the Hydra after all."

"Well" drawled Harald, "East was ma choice afore we started a' this hummin' an' hawin'.  Let's jist go East!"

A raised pathway with a moving surface fills the room with noise. Hulking humanoid constructs equipped with hammer arms turn as one to note your presence. There are more of the things present than earlier when Gromley looked.  The room is alive with industry, with bright sparks, streams of liquid fire, and choking clouds of smoke.

The automatons stop and look at you. "State the pass-word," croaks the one closest to you.

'Moradin's Forge' declares Martha confidently, striding forward. She grimaces at Gromley a bit, as if to say 'god I hope this works!'

Sonliin watched as the password was given, hoping that they would not have any p5roblems with the workers.

Despite his full confidence in Martha's capabilities, Darratheir was ready to jump into action in case Moradin would have set a trap for any unwanted visitors.

Harald grimaced.  Martha sounded confident although the dwarf reckoned her guess at the password was probably too simple.

Zog stands back, hoping this gambit of Martha's works...

Martha, make a Religion check.

Martha has an idea about how the password would work...

'Harald!' Martha hisses urgently and the unimpressed automations turn their cold gazes towards Martha . 'Say 'Soul Father' in dwarven - quickly and loudly!'

Harald stepped up next to Martha.

"Soul Father" he announced in stentorian tones (and of course in Dwarven)

He then prepared to leap in front of Martha - should it prove necessary!

The constructs stand stock still. "We recognize the son of Moradin. Greetings. Please state the password." The words are said dispassionately--it is clear that "Soul Father" is not the password.

'Hmm'. Martha thinks out loud. 'Harald, try Dwarffather, or Soul Forger'.

Harald repeats the word "Soul Forger" and the construct nods. "Password accepted. State your business."

Others besides Martha (who has already contributed a very good roll) may make History or Religion checks, in addition to answering the constructs, which any of you may do.

It was well known that Darratheir wasn't the best one that could explain with the right words what the group wanted so he decided to let the others explain the reason of their intrusion.

Sonliin tried to think if there was any other piece of information that helps with the password but nothing came to mind.

OOC: Only got a 30 for history. Not going spend a Benny.

Zog moves over to Harald and speaks in a low tone. "Tell them in Dwarven that we are here to aid in Moradin's work. They will probably believe you over us. If I could speak Dwarven, I'd tell them, but better to come from you in Moradin's own language, I think."
