Sonliin reached into his inner self and fought the spell that the beholder was using on him to break its power.

As the magic loosened its hold on him, Sonliin shoved himself back on to his feet as a blast of thunder and lightening erupted from him, The wave of energy avoided hitting Darraheir and Harald before Sonliin arrived on the other platform as he followed the blast.

15:08, Today: Martha rolled 38 using 1d20+31 with rolls of 7.  Lance of Faith on B2.

The dominated beholder glares at its companion and blasts it with a disintegrating ray. The other one fixates on Sonliin first and the creatures behind the oddly useless wall. "YOU CANNOT HIDE FROM ME!" it finally manages in thick words. "YOU SHALL FALL BEFORE ME AND TEAR YOURSELVES APART!!" He fires rays from several of his stalks; once, he manages to catch Darratheir and Harald in a blast of psychic power, and both men have the urge to hit one another! Likewise, Gromley and Zog are caught in a similar blast and turn baleful eyes at each other.  Meanwhile, the other ray grabs at both the other beholder and Sonliin. On the first try, these rays fail to do anything; on second try, he flings the other beholder away from him and drags Sonliin into the pit. At this point, its eyes glaze over...

When Martha wipes out all the saves, those who had -5 to defenses get an aftereffect: -2 to all defenses (save ends).

B1 uses Telekinetic Ray on Sonliin and B2; he misses. He uses Madness Ray on Darratheir and Harald, hitting both; each takes 15 psychic damage and must make an MBA on each other. It uses an AP to repeat those attacks. B1 hits Sonliin and B2 with Telekinetic Ray; B2 is slid 8 squares and falls prone. Sonliin must make a saving throw or be slid 8 squares and dropped into the space below the islands.

Gromley's ineffectual attack does no harm to Zog; sadly, the same cannot be said of Zog's blow on Martha, which shocks her solidly. Harald and Darratheir trade blows as well, though neither feels it much thanks to Martha's protective prayer.

Poor Sonliin is flung off the edge of the platforms and plummets to the bottom of the crevasse. Thanks largely to Martha's protective magic, he is not terribly hurt, but he is definitely far away from the battle.

Zog is tempted for a long moment to stare into the eye of the coherent beholder, but somehow he tears his eyes away...

Gromley remains still, maintaining his mind blank. However, his awareness moves down below, sending out a telepathic Message to Sonliin.

Don't worry! I'm going to get you out! Climb the rope just a little and I can teleport you back up top.

Once Sonliin responds via the telepathy, the gnome will make a psionic construct of knotted rope, hanging in midair via Gromley's telekinetic familiar Baldric.

OOC: Sending my awareness 10 spaces down to be in range to help Sonliin.

Creating Knotted rope with grappling hook for Sonliin to climb. Given how the ranged power can come from my awareness new location, he should be in range. I will secure it as part of the action if possible. The rope with hook can appear in Sonliin's hand if need be.

"Will do" Sonliin thought as he held his hand up, ready to grasp the line to get out of the pit. While he was down there, he looked around to see if there was anything of interest.

Zog looks very annoyed when the beholder almost tricks him again with its eye. "Sorry about that, Martha," he says quietly as he moves to a spot where it will be harder for the beholder to pin him down. He raises his hand and traces a mystic circle in the air. He then fires his lightning bolt through them, where it refracts and hits both beholders, damaging them and blinding the troublemaker.

Move as shown. Elemental Bolt with Master's Surge--use Elemental Escalation without expending a use, hits B1 for 86 lightning, it is blinded (save ends) and vulnerable to my attacks again. Hits B2 for 89 lightning; it is not blinded.

When Zog blasts both beholders, the dominated one jerks, unleashing waves of pain. A ray of madness bursts around Harald, but both Darratheir and the dwarf shrug it off. Martha and the other beholder get burned; Zog just dodges getting a blast of cold. Martha and Gromley's minds become anguished and they turn to attack one another.  Both Harald and Darratheir make the mistake of looking into the wounded beholder's fell eye...

B2 is bloodied and unleashes Spasmodic Rays. Attacks are as follows:

Darratheir feels a great anger against the Beholders. They ain't easy target for a combatant focused on melee attacks and he is unable to recover from the dazing feeling across his body. Fortunately, his armor's enchantment helps him shove off the recurring pain. He decides to concentrate on his future attack before acting.

The dominated beholder continues its assault on its fellow; it manages to catch the other with its eye and freezes it a bit, even while prone. Meanwhile, the other one reels, overwhelmed by fire and madness! It at least catches Zog's eye with its massive central eye.

B2 crits B1 with Central Eye; B2 is slowed and dazed (save ends both), and hits with Frost Ray for 14 cold and B1 takes -2 to saving throws until EOB1'sNT. It also stands.

B1 is stunned; it makes its saves against stunned and ongoing 10 untyped but fails all its other saves. Because it fails its save against the Dazed, that worsens to Stunned (save ends) again.

At the start of Zog's turn, B1 hits Zog with Central eye; Zog is dazed and slowed (save ends).

Zog gives the beholder in front of him a good blast despite his dazed state...

Elemental Bolt + Learned Boost, hit with a Benny for 71 lightning and it's vulnerable 3 again. It is no longer blinded. Fail my save vs. dazed.
