Features of the Area:
Illumination: The chamber is brightly lit by the starscapes—for characters who are standing on any of the platforms. Creatures on the bridges and down on the chamber floor see only the glow of the bridges, so the entire chamber is dimly lit for them. In other words, visible light depends not on the light source but on where the creature is standing.
Ceiling: The ceiling of the cavern is 30 feet above the platforms and 150 feet above the floor.
Platforms: Characters see different starscapes when standing on each platform, but the stars disappear from view as soon as the character steps off.
Chamber Floor: The floor is featureless stone 120 feet below the platforms.

Sonliin scrambled up the rest of the way on to the platform. Once he got his bearings, he pointed the warhammer at the closer beholder. A black ray streaked out, striking the foe.


Standard Finger of death. Hit 34 Fort for 51 damage.
Move: Climb the rest of the way.
Minor: maintain the wall.

Chapter 7.5: The Final Battles

The party soon figures out the cadence with which the platforms made of force appear and disappear; they coordinate their advances and travel to the next side, where they open the double doors and proceed inward. Stairs lead down a long way to a cavern, that the party follows to more stairs and then yet another cavern.

This long cavern has a dusty floor and rough but otherwise featureless stone floor. At the far end is an alcove atop a cliff where a gargantuan blue dragon rests. Its belly is swollen with eggs. As it roars, wind picks up in the chamber and the dust devils at the base of the cliff take on darker, more ominous form. Those dust devils are growing into full-fledged tornados.

Roll initiative! If you beat an initiative of 34, you go before the dragon.

Also, you can make a Dungeoneering check for free as part of your initiative roll.

Eggs: There is a clutch of eggs atop the plateau. Scattered among them are glittery things.

Sonliin looked at the gargantuan blue dragon and shook his head. "No need to bother with any lightning spells." he said as the winds started to increase. "Looks like we will need to send some of them away for a bit so we can pound on them one or two at a time instead of a mob." he added with a sigh

The dragon takes to the air, flying over the party. "Ah, my poor little mortals. Yes, run forward to your death." She winds up and breathes her lightning blast, which dances across Harald, Martha and Agon.

Dragon flies into the air; it is hovering at the ceiling, so its belly is essentially 4 squares up (i.e. 3 squares elevation required to attack it). Standard: Breath Weapon, hits harald and Martha for 42 lightning, misses Agon, who takes 21 lightning.

The Gnome projects his awareness once more. "Now now...no flying! That's just cheating..." Gromley says. He makes a gestures with his hand, as if grabbing something and smashing it down on the ground. Sure enough, an invisible hand seems to grab hold of the massive lizard and force it crashing down to earth.

OOC:

Minor action-Projecting awareness

Standard action-Using living missile. Misses(Most likely), however, living missile still has an effect with a miss. Dragon is slowed(save ends).

Move action-Using as minor action. Using secondary living missle action to force dragon to the ground, smashing it down and making it prone. Spending a bennie if need be to hit vs its reflex. Dragon takes 21 damage, is prone and slowed(Save ends), and is grounded.

Chapter 7.5: The Final Battles

Zog advances and unleashes an unusual tactic for him: a burst of fire that swells around the dragon's right side as it lies on the ground.

Move, then Ignition + Elemental Escalation, hits Reflex 45 for 72 fire damage and it's vulnerable 3 to my elemental attacks. The burst creates a zone that lasts until the start of my next turn. Any creature that enters the zone or ends its turn there takes 6 fire damage; the dragon takes 9 since it's vulnerable 3 to my elemental attacks.
