Cyclones continue moving; only one gets near the party. Darratheir is picked up and thrown again by the cyclone!

One cyclone attacks Darratheir and Sonliin; it hits Darratheir for 21 hp, throws him as shown, and Darratheir is knocked prone.

Features of the Area:
Illumination: This cavern has only the illumination the PCs bring with them.
Ceiling: The ceiling of the cavern is 30 feet high.
Alcove: The blue brood mother starts here.
Cliffs: It takes a DC 15 Athletics check to ascend these 20-foot-tall cliffs at half speed, granting combat advantage during the climb. Creatures that take damage
while climbing must immediately make a DC 15 Athletics check (DC 20 if the damage made the climber bloodied) or fall. Creatures about to fall can, as an immediate action, attempt a DC 20 Athletics check (with an additional +1 DC per point of damage) to make a last-ditch grab at the cliff face.
Eggs: There is a clutch of eggs atop the plateau. Scattered among them are glittery things.

Harald lets out a bloodcurdling dwarven battle cry, and the dwarf unleashes two mighty blows that fell the dragon!!

Standard: Exhilarating Assault, hits for 49 hp with a Benny and Harald spends a surge. AP: Line Breaker Assault, CRIT for 90 hp! The dragon dies.

The party moves up to the blue brood mother's dais and finds treasure and dragon eggs. They also find a simple amulet. Agon discerns that this will summon the wearer and anyone touching them somewhere. You all have a strong sense of where that is.

One more time, Bahamut appears to you. You are all washed in power. "Prepare for the battle of your lives," he says simply.

You suddenly feel renewed, as if the life-energy of a thousand angels were poured into you. Then, everyone grabs onto Agon and you are teleported to the domain of Tiamat herself.

You are standing on a dais looking down at a complex three-part platform. You see Tiamat in all her five-headed horror. Ten baleful eyes gaze at you, the hate within them almost palpable. Surrounding her on the rim of the platform are eight shimmering energy fields.  The shimmering energy fields are translucent, but they seem quite solid.

“You’ve thwarted my plans,” says the blue head.

“You returned Bahamut to life,” says the red.

“You broke my army at its moment of triumph,” says the black.

“You’ve slain my exarchs,” says the green.

“And now, you’ve invaded my innermost lair,” says the white.

“Cherish this moment,” say all five in unison, “because this moment is your high-water mark. Now, your pain, your fall . . . will fuel my rise, my rebirth!”

And she utters a word of power. With screams, Martha and Harald vanish. The remaining party members are left to act.

You all have had an Extended Rest. All the NPC'd players have been removed, leaving you all!

You cannot use Arcana to get Tiamat's stat block, sorry to say.


Everyone roll initiative! If your Initiative beats 40, you get to go before Tiamat goes again.

"Harald, NOOOO! You still owe me that keg of ale!" Sonliin shouted in shock, before seeing Martha also wink out of existence. "Hey Martha, wherever you are, I do not think your deal with Bahamut is valid if you are not there to participate in defeating her!" the air genasi hollered as he got ready for the onslaught of dragon breath he was sure the group was going to quickly receive.

The threads of magic crossed here in an intricate pattern. This was the throneroom of a god! A place where a powerful mind could sit and observe and manipulate the entire universe. The archmage skimmed forwards as he drew on his arcane abilities. "You squander your power, fiveheads. Your evil plots have reached their limits, and we who have risen so far will end you!"

Darratheir is saddened by the sudden disappearance of both Harald and Martha but that only make his anger against Tiamat grows. The source of many of his childhood nightmares stands before him and the Dragonborn is keen to end them now.

The goddess flies up almost casually to the upper platform. She roars--all five of her heads--which causes Darratheir and Agon to freeze in their tracks. She then winds up all five of her heads and begins spewing energy everywhere; Agon and Gromley somehow manage to avoid this barrage of energy, but the rest of the party find themselves staggering from the chromatic barrage!

Tiamat turn #2: Move action to fly up. Minor: Frightful Majesty, hits Agon and Darratheir; both are stunned until the end of Tiamat's next turn #2. Standard: Chromatic Breath, attack on Reflex hits Darratheir, Sonliin and Zog for 43 acid, cold, fire, lightning, and poison damage. Each is slowed (save ends).

Even as the dragon queen moves to stun almost everyone, the hidden gnome summons a portal to banish her. Only temporarily of course...

OOC-given my nat 20 for stealth before iniative, my total roll to hit was ether 46 or 49 with bennie re roll.

Assuming I hit, I do 27 damage and dragon queen is banished until end of my next turn.

Using a minor action to use ring of shadows and give myself total concealment for the rest of the encounter.

I will move once the big T is Banished.

Gromley successfully banishes the dragon queen--for a moment. To his considerable surprise, she pops back into existence mere moments later!

Tiamat returns from banishment at the end of her turn. 'tis the down side of fighting her on her turf. You did cancel her actions on turn 3, though.

Agon is up! You are stunned--if there is a way for you to get out of being stunned or to cause the stunning attack to miss through a reaction/interrupt, go ahead and post that. (The attack that stunned you hit your will with a 55.)

With a draconic roar, Sonliin rapidly grew into a huge dragon as he pointed a talon towards Tiamat. "Grand pa sends his regards! Come, meet your death!" he said, causing the Dragon Queen to be bathed in radiant light before he unleashed a blast of dragon fire.

Zog wastes no time whatsoever. He traces a complex arcane symbol in the air in front of himself and begins to blast away at the dragon goddess, caught up in the fury of the moment!!

What a round!
Minor: Master of the Mind:  can make a saving throw at the start of my turn against one effect that a save can end. If I fail the saving throw, I can still make a saving throw against the effect at the end of my turn. Additionally, when I succeed on a saving throw, I gain 5 temporary hit points.
Standard: Hit with Elemental Bolt + Elemental Escalation + Master's Surge for 91 hp. Elemental Escalation is not expended due to Master's Surge.
Minor: Quickened Spellcasting, CRIT for 144 lightning damage. Free Elemental Bolt hits for 65 lightning.
AP: Elemental Bolt, CRIT with a Benny for 124 lightning. Free elemental bolt hits for 57 lightning.

That's 481 lightning in 5 hits before any resistances. Hope she's not immune to lightning :-)

Tiamat actually winces with several faces when Zog hits her. "Oh, now, Zog the Hopeless, I will come for you. First, though, Sonliin will die for mocking my grand form." She bites Sonliin, burning him and sucking out some of his life!! She then bites him with her white-dragon head and gores him with her blue dragon head, sending him tumbling!!

Tiamat takes most of the damage from Zog--well done!

On her turn #5, Tiamat hits Sonliin for 49 fire and drains 4 of his Healing Surges. On her turn #1, she hits Sonliin for 46 cold damage. On her turn #2, she hits Sonliin for 34 hp (including 14 lightning), pushes him three squares and knocks him prone.

She then moves adjacent to Zog.

Ooc-Freeing Soliin from domination, spending a bennie to di it.

14:23, Today: Gromley Underhill rolled 46 using 1d20+32 with rolls of 14.  Re-roll to get a 10+.

Minor action-using healing power on Sonliin. He gets a surge worth of healing and a surge worth of temp hp.

Sonliin is freed from the tyranny of Tiamat's spell thanks to Gromley! Meanwhile, though, Tiamat glares down at Zog. "I will be the last thing you see, mortal," she hisses as her black head spews acid at Zog, blinding him!

Tiamat takes most of the damage from Zog--well done!

On her turn #3, she hits Zog with a close blast for 26 acid damage and Zog is blinded (save ends).
