Beordir cants his head to the side, "I would indeed, however, the trick sometimes is living to spend that coin. I'm no stranger to risk, but sometimes the odds are too great."

"Did you have an expedition in mind?"

In reply to Beodir Nalas-Radin (msg # 18):

"Let me introduce you to my employer, who if I am not
 mistaken, now holds a contract on Masugatan, and would be willing to employ you both. This," she says, indicating the muscular ogrekin behind her, "is Vilgar."

Beordir follows Madeline, his concern growing as she leads him over to....Vilgar. Momentarily taken aback, Beordir hesitates before introducing himself, "Well met. I'm Beordir Nalas-Radin. It is my understanding you have employment for warriors?"

The large man, obviously of ogrish descent, satnds well over
 7 feet tall. he is quite ugly, but engaging, and has the
brand of a convicted murderer on his left hand.
"Well met, Beodir Nalas-Radin. I am Vilgar,
and I employ more than just fighters, although gladiatorial
Events  are a specialty, and I just acquired a new venue.

Beordir pulls his head back a moment in skepticism, then thinks more about Vilgar's proposal. After a moment, he purses his lips and replies, "I've never considered fighting for the entertainment of others. Usually, I view force to be applied to circumstances that lack other alternatives. That being said, I could use a bit of training and the competition might be useful."

He looks up at Vilgar and asks, "What are the details of this sort of thing?"

In reply to Beodir Nalas-Radin (msg # 22):

"Pit fighting is only one of my interests. What is it you do best?"

Masugatan addresses Vilger.

"Your kind of scum?  Yeah, man... I float right on top of the pond, never sink.  I just keep right on floating, until someone's dumb enough to step in me.  You got to float good to be the best, when you're scum."

Surprised by the ogre’s question, Beordir think a moment, before replying.

“I’m a swordsman, but best used as a skirmisher. I have an interest in magic and use it myself, but it’s not flashy. I’ve done exploration work before and that seemed to suit me.”

In reply to Beodir Nalas-Radin (msg # 25):

"I just got my pitfighting location in order, but I heard wind of some properties to acquire for other reasons."

Somewhat relieved to not be pursuing a gladitorial career, Beordir considers Vilgar's next idea with care. Then he asks, "So are these properties in need of exploration or confirmation that they are really viable?"

"A little bit of both. We need a spot with a deep
substructure , and some kind of access to conduits on its
lower levels, that doesn't flood, and maybe has some secure
features. I will work on special permits... but yeah, abandoned buildings that might have squatters of some kind."

Beordir nods, "I'd be interested in that sort of job. I can't provide real structural assessment, but looking into buildings and potentially clearing them out sounds promising. Only problem is that a lot of places don't stay cleared out for long. You would have to move fast or we'll just have to sweep again."

In reply to Beodir Nalas-Radin (msg # 29):

"What about you, Masugatan? I think you have experience leaning on people."

"I ain't too proud to break legs, if that's what you're getting at.  As long as I get paid.  I'll take whatever job I can get."

Beordir glances over to Masugatan giving a half-shrug before following Vilgar.

"Why do you think a rogue and mage would help for this task?"

In reply to Beodir Nalas-Radin (msg # 33):

"Last couple groups I sent out when researching my other project ran into some undead, and some kind of undead slime thing in one of the sub basements. I figure that takes a caster, and then there is the matter of locks. I would like the doors to stay without having to replace them if possible. Makes for a long term savings."

Beordir consider's Vilgar's words as they walk along. "Someone who understand undead would be useful. Even better, someone who could explain them to us. Glad you thought of them."

Reanna comes down from upstairs muttering under her breath, "Pompous.. Arrogant.. Stuck up twit..."

Then seeing the others gather d around, she heads over to join them. "Anything exciting going on?" she asks by way of greeting.

"Only in my pants, baby."

Reanna gives Masugatan a cold stare but doesn't respond to his crass comment.

Beordir cants his head to the right and asks the woman, "We seem to be shy a couple people. Know anyone who's good with locks or magic?"

Reanna smiles at the politeness she finally feels from someone in the guild, "I can help with the locks and scouting, but know nothing of magic. Nor do I know anyone skilled in it."

"I can do basic magic assessment, but I know nothing of undead and the troubles with them."
