In reply to Narrator (msg # 732):

Broderic moves forward cautiously; he suspects there's a creature ahead that has been used by the goblins as a guard beast of sorts. If this is the case he may be able to negotiate something with the creature.

Re: Broderick's Expedition

In reply to Broderick Leibert (msg # 733):

Broderick can smell sewage as he approaches the intersection. As described, there are two doors opposite another door and a bronze openwork gate. The light from Broderick's torch seems to be bouncing off water somewhere beyond the gate, although there is a shadow of something moving there as well.
[Private to Narrator: left has cart room, sleeping quarter, right has guarderobe, catchment room with otty)

In reply to Broderick Leibert (msg # 735):

Beyond the gate is a damp room with grating covering half the floor. The vack wall of the room is openwork geating like the gate, and has a gate set within it.
Something is moving under the floor grating, which also has an openwork gate.

We get food. informed Broderic leading them back to the goblin; he directed Smasher to collect the body and they returned to the cage. Before reaching the fenced off area he asks the others what their thoughts about Otty are?, ie should they free it. Try to enlist its assistance.
Checking to see if the key they had acquired opened the first lock.

Broderick explains that he's thinking Otty could be of use as an ally. It could have abilities or senses that may prove valuable in their search. [Private to GM: eg it may be an excellent swimmer and be able to retrieve items from the waterways. ]

Actually its the first one I've seen. To get to the other gate we'll need to get past it. I thought bargaining with it the best option. I'm more than pleased to go with other proposals. Did any of you have something in mind?

It looks like you could step over it's pen to get at the gate into the wet tunnel.

The front gate is locked, and the other three doors seem to be locked with locks that look similar to each other.

You have headed down a corridor towards the right from the room with the spiral stair, and came upon a four way intersection. To your left is a short hall that continues into a T intersection.
In that hallway between the intersections are: two locked doors on the left hand side.
On the right hand side are a locked openwork gate leading into the damp room and through another gate into a wet tunnel.
Next to that gate (to the right of it) is another locked door.
