three more arrows fly out, and rebound off the golem. There is some rough chanting in a harsh sounding language. a blackish green flame forms in the distance, scarecly illuminating anything near it. The sallow flicker is most unappealing.

The upwell and catchment room/guarderobe/orc bedroom/cart storage is all southward and off map. The shiny gate is north, arrows coming from west.

The greenish black light winks out, accompanied by a curse.
An arrow strikes the cart with a clang, and one bounces harmlessly off Smasher's armor.

Gaspard is hit in his coat of plates as he steps around, and he charges forward.

Timeon is aiming his crossbow, but cannot see what is ahead.

Margeax casts another light spell and starts moving it toward the unseen attackers.

Frer Noe advances with his mace, but is behind Gaspard as they step around the cart.

With Smasher providing the forward momentum Broderick steered the hand cart towards their attackers. Its relentless advance quickly clising the distance to these assailants.

As Margeax' light moves closer, you can see that the creatures attacking are a number of ugly greenish humanoids, wearing mostly greenish leather armor, set with iron scales. There are three archers with ling knives and axes, two burly sorts with  battle axes, and one hideous hag in the back with a red cloak and a staff. All squint at the light.

The armored gut of one of the larger trolls,  and tosses it on the cart, preparing to draw his sword.

Gaspard leaps into a telegraphic lunge against one of the trolls, but his rapier glances off of its armor.

As the fighting has started Broderick and Smasher push the hand cart towards the hag. When close enough he directs smasher to engage the uninjured burly creature as engages the hag thrusting at her or the closest assailant he is able to engage.

The fencer makes another stab at the troll wounded by Timeon, and cuts his arm.

Beyond, the archers are reloading.

Broderick notes Smasher has felled the brute Smasher attack those he directs, pointing towards the Hag/Archers. Broderick then makes a second attack on the brutish creature in front of him, hopefully his attack will fell the assailant and enable others to engage the Hag and archers[Private to GM: att 11 vs skill 13 dam 6 ]

Between Gaspard's stroke and Timeon's bolt, you fell the second of the brutes. The archers start to fall back, while aiming, and the cart is interfering with anyone getting at them just yet. The hag raises another ball of brackish green flame.

Margeaux begins chanting something, researching someone named Claude...

Pushing forward through the archers Smasher swings his huge maul in a backstroke Smasher at the Hag.

Refusing to be brushed aside, one of the archers takes a blow aimed at the spellcaster, and falls with a crushed skull.

The other two loose their arrows, one passing through Timeon's hair, just missing his neck, and the other strikes gaspard in the shoulder.

Gaspard misses his strike, but Timeon steps cooly past the edge of the obstructive cart, and slices the nose of the third archer.

Behind you, you sense a change  in air pressure, and feel a chill... the items in the cart are beginning to move...

Clair picks upon the spell being formed by the Hag and focuses, once more Dispelling the effect.

Which spell? The gathering blackish green flame of the hag, or whatever it is that Margeaux is doing? Make two Thaumatology rolls.



Broderick was earlier able to kill the brute troll that Gaspard had cut and Timeon had shot, the nearest available opponent is the archer who Timeon just cut in the face. Is he your target?

Smasher is just out of range of the hag, who has been retreating as she builds her spell.
