Margala shrugs.
"Was in troll tool room with puny knives."
She motions to Borug, who is standing by Druck and Winslow.
" Borug, show Manseeknee people tool room, want see puny knives."

Ardenas follows, curious about the "puny knives."

"I'm a little surprised the Guild party who drove the trolls out of here left anything behind.  That's not like Guild."

The workshop Margala shows you looks like it was ransacked, but still has a variety of cheap looking tools on the workbench. A drawer hangs halfway out of the table, where it looks like something noteable was taken. In the corner is a forge and a pile of coal.

"Aoife?  Since the ogres live here and guard the place for Mancini and DuClaire now, it seems to me anything left by the trolls and those who drove them out ought to be theirs.  It was most generous of them to gift the sharpening stone to Mancini, but we have no right to anything still here."

In reply to Aoife (msg # 718):

You find a couple of carved pieces that look like they were part of a cylinder with sliding rings, that look like they were practice parts for something else, like a puzzle lock. Several different sizes were attempted, apparently.  In the dust and woodshavings under the desk, you find a small stone figurine of a multilegged lizard  with a broken tail. It is less than a span wide and chipped. It could be worth something to the right buyer.

The room loomed to be a multipurpose  wood and metalshop, although there are some stoneworking tooks as well, all apparently of cheap quality. There are also some parchment sheets with sketches on them, annotated with runes.

In reply to Mancini (msg # 729):, wood and stoneworking

There are about 3/4 of a full set of tools for leather, stone, and woodworking, and some mixed smithing tools. It looks like someone may have packed a travelling kit of some kind. The leather and woodworking  tools might be puny knives, but there were only a handful of leather tools, such as might be used to make a belt... there must be another leatherworking site, and probably another forge.  Those sketches...

Covered in trollish runes, these are schematics. One seems to be for a water spraying device, another for a pot trap, another for a barrier of spikes covered with wet hide. All seem to be ingenious means of killing what look like balls of fire.
