Hilerno waits and watches, patiently, intently, a brief grin flickering across his face -- weathered skin shifting -- at the exchange between Aoife, Ardenas, and Dellas.

He has never seen a leprechaun before and is trying to not seem overly interested or surprised.

"It's literally the only thing most people know about leprechauns," Mancini said. "But this is Nortport, where they'll stick a knife between your ribs if they think your shoes will fit."

As they walk, Hilerno looks down at his boots, a calloused hand touching briefly at his ribs.

Ardenas gives Hilerno a wink.

"I don't think you need to worry, Hilerno.  Aoife could probably put both feet in either of your boots -- and I'm pretty sure she doesn't need to steal shoes anyway."

MonseiurDuClaire's warehouse is on the edge of the artisinal and dockside districts. A pair of guards with maroon sashes carrying spears stand by the double door.

Mancini greets them. "DuClair has sent us to deal with the cellar issue."

One of them pulls a scrap of parchment from a pouch.
"Let me see your badge number."

Mancini puts out an arm to forestall the others from offering their badges. "I should hardly think that's necessary, gentlemen. We're here to serve the city, not get bogged down in bureaucratic nonsense. Besides, I can assure you that it's all been cleared at the highest levels."
