As Hograth had determined earlier about ghouls, if three bones are stacked together, a ghoul can use it as a gate to and from their world,

As does Hograth, using his axe to drag the bodies apart. Slower, but safer...

A few minutes later you have the bodies all separated, blocking re-rentry by the ghouls.
You are in an immense circular room, 25 yards accross, surmounted by the dome.  The outer walls are pilastered and have arched entrances at each of the cardinal directions.

This area may have been above the surface, and is probably two to three stories above the temple access level of the causeway above the sewers (sewer level is 2 levels below street, and you are up a hill) There are known to be slorn in the vicinity.

Ketil moves cautiously to each of the doors in turn, searching each and the proceeding roughly thirty feet past them, attempting to discern which was most likely to head down.
