"Let's  see. I have found a floating knucklebones game, two malicious gossips, and a pack handler who is overfond of mules. What else have we got?"

At breakfast he considers whom he may confide in... those on his shift last night seem to have told no one and he feels something should be said. He doesn't see much leadership among the guards.

"Nothing will be gained by theorizing over a single nights worth of observation. The only thing we got right now is that they are on alert. We need to observe them more without changing anything."

No one was injured during the night.

During the day, you advance to the edge of a dairy farm, and the farmer brings out several barrels of half fermented and thickened milk, which appears to be a regular thing on this route.
 Murbark dickers with the farmer for a bit, and the barrels are loaded on.

Berry is always glad to see them picking up fresh food. Less work for her if something goes wrong right?

Gareth looks at the milk with mild interest. It would have been some time, perhaps a few hundred years, since he has tasted it, so his curiosity gets the better of him and he asks to try some.
