In reply to Gareth (msg # 777):

The explosion takes off the lip if the cliff, causing a minor landslide-make a Dodge all or take 1d-3. On the plus side, there are no longer any archers near the top, (some screaming though) and the path is easier to see.

Gareth is so excited at the effect that he easily makes the dodge as he moves out of the way, before getting ready to move on up as fast as he can to some cover!

Gareth, meanwhile, has been making his way up the hill looking for more targets. When he spies some, he throws another explosive fireball at them...after a his first attempt at a fireball fizzled out since he did not stop moving enough.

Noting Gorgath's heavily armoured helmet, he decided to pause for 30 seconds to let the heavily armoured head go first. And to summon a fire elemental, if any is around...

[Private to GM: Cast Summon Fire Elemental, rolled 8, skill 20. Casting time 30 seconds. May take up to 2d minutes to appear...do I get to choose how big of an elemental comes?]

Re: Caravan to Al Menir

In reply to Gareth (msg # 792):

In order to summon a fire elemental you need to have a sizeable fire-create fire with a bunch of brush or fuel to burn. The nearest such thing you can see is down and accross the road. If there is any above, you are not in a position to see it.

As Gorgath gets to the top, several arrows fly his way, one even striking the visor of his helmet.

Re: Caravan to Al Menir

Haveron saw to Amelia's safety first, making sure she was in a place least likely to be hit by any stray arrows and then he leaned the shield nearby her so that she would have protection from the caravans and a huge slab of wood. "Stay here, my dear... he said gently and then brushed his hair back from his head and started off after the others.

Dont go getting yourselves into anything without me! he huffed in good spirit as he ran up the hill.

He considered staying behind the others, but ultimately panned out to the side so that he'd also be a target for any fire. HE wouldn't use one of his allies as a shield in lieu of his own. Better that they try and kill he than them.

Right, What've we got here now? he said with similar humour and then looked around the area to assess the field.
