"What do you think, Sederic?"
Grimaldi said, after a moment of thought.

I should mention that the agreement we just finished was a one off rush job. You shouldn't expect the same payment for short term tasks. Unless similar conditions present themselves.

"Drop a figure, and I'll tell you if i think its fair or not. i truly dont know how one would go about pricing an expedition like this.  Are we just going down there to grab the loot or is there more to it than that?" Sederic says, the fatigue evident on his face.

Broderick was pleased that was clarified. A partnership, with equal share, is what I was factoring on. I assumed when you asked me to drop a figure you were angling for pay as well.

ooc Darius hasn't yet mentioned what he found IC. We are all guild members however none of Our superiors or Collegues, save those in this group, as far as I know would be privy to the information about this exploration. I'm not sure what Darius is upto or if he's revealing information to others.

OOC if that's the case, then we shouldn't even be here discussing anything. everything should be completely rewritten, and redone, if nobody knows what's going on...

"Well, the way im seeing it, Broderick, is we know something is down there, right? Just not what or how much something there actually is. Now, by my reckoning, as guildsmen, it kinda falls on us to know whats down there, either way. Seems we'd be doing a disservice to our gracious patrons leaving whatever's down there to collect even more dust. Either way we'd be doing our job and maybe earning a bit of renown," Sederic says, crossing his arms and leaning back, a more serious note to his voice now that exploration is the topic.
"We could also slip Miekka through the bars in the gate and he could recon the place for us, he is sentient and capable of acting on his own.  Only i can hear him, so you'd have to take my word for it, but I'm an honest, if greedy, man."

Indeed Master Sederic; which is exactly why we in this meeting, to plan how to undertake this especially since Darius has chosen to make himself scarce. The quicker we start back the less chance there is of missing out on whatever the Necromancer detected, especially if he intends to seek it out by himself or with a different group.

"Since time seems.to be of the essence, may I suggest that we hurry back there. Even if we cant secure the key at this time, Miekka can at least tell us whats there and give us an idea as to whether its worth pursuing or not.  I fear this time spent dwelling on it is driving me mad, we need to get down there bwfore anyone else snatches this opportunity from under us. We can flesh out the plans more when we're down there. i would suggest that you try to.get the key and we head out as quickly as possible," Sederic says calmly, despite his growing agitation.
He stands and stretches, letting a sigh out.
"Do you have any other plans after the treasure is secured? it'd be nice to have someone devoted to carrying the loot out of the undercity, maybe your dwarven friend, so we can continue on if need be. I'm sure there's a lot of other business we could handle while down there."

ooc Narrator is Darius intending to be part of the team? If he isn't do you both think four adventurers and three supporting characters sufficient?

Guildsmen Less rush more haste if you please, we have only just returned from an expedition and have no knowledge how long this one will take or where it will lead us.

OOC: I honestly think we're good to go the way we are. O have a bit of magic at my disposal, as does Grimaldi and Clare. I've got a bow and arrows of we have to engage at range. Ur dwarf friend is tanky?  I believe we have a decent chance, and adding more people is just gonna cramp us and risk us getting hurt due to.lack.of space to fight or run. Who r the others? My counts at five.

OOC. ok, cool. I stick.to what I said tho, and 8 people is pushing it methinks. Is already gonna be tight down there, and then add bodies, especially on the way back carrying treasure. Mayhaps the dwarf could act as a porter.

In reply to Sederic (msg # 33):

I am closing this thread and restarting for the following reasons:

1  Sederic is supposed to be with another group.
2  Sederic's sword, while capable of leaving his hand, is in no way able to scout or report back. The blade wants to kill, kill, kill and not much else.

3 all of your intel depends on being able to get a PC who is not present to reveal details of a ritual spell casting that gave hom some garbled information that he has not shared.

4 more of it depends on travel through a series of gates that your group has never opened.

That potential heist is one that can be developed, but not by taking characters out of their group. New player, some misconceptions. I was unable to post and stop this from going this far, but this is really tangling things up. I had posted where Sederic was to go, and he went to the wrong thread.
