The tunnel opens into what you can feel is a large space, the ceiling far above you. Vast fermentation tanks, three yards high by four wide line the room to either side, and there are platforms above them toward the walls on either side. In the distance ahead, you can see steps heading up to the platforms. Numerous barrels are scattered about. Dimly, you can percieve dozens of Shadowy figures on the platforms above, just beyond the railings.

Azrael picks out a single wight close to a shutter that might illuminate several others and commences casting, moving his hands and one knee as he mutters the spell.

Seeing this many Wights, Jednesa lets out a tremendous roar and begins swinging her big iron axe/mace up into the catwalks to hit a Wight and anything else that gets in the way (like the catwalk itself).

Jednessa smashed through the walkway railing, and knocked over a wight. Her second strike smashes into the walkway, and wedges her weapon in place, leaving it hanging just out of reach!

One of the wights drops his grip on a doomchild, and steps back to pull a shutter from the wall... sunlight spills forth, catching a fellow wight, who begins smoking!

The doombrat struck by the stone missile takes a firm hit, but not enough to cause it to detonate.

On the opposite side, a doombrat has been thrown!

A portion of the walkway collapses, dropping three wights abd a doombrat into a vat.

The windows are barely visible, the shutters are 6 feet tall by two feet wide and arched. Toasty can set them burning, but it may take a while to burn through them,  and the roof beams might catch.  The fure elemental can ram them, and possibly knock them off the walkway.

Azrael has the wight he has control of open another shuttered window... carefully of course.

The swight begins smoking in the sunlight, and drops the doomchild. The other wight backs away from the light, dragging the doomchild, who is unaffected by it. Unlike fire, which the wights seem to ignore even though it damages them, they seem to dread the sun.

They are demons born of relations with succubi by those whose souls are already forfeit. The toes allow for spellwork that require a connection to the subject...like summon spirit, and because it is fun for demons to watch people mutilate themselves.

The monk thrashes on the ground, almost oblivious to its head being on backwards. Damage has been done to it, but it is uncertain how much is lasting.

Haskell grabs at the doombrat approaching Azrael. It tries to stab him, but fails to injure him. Delicately, helifts it off the ground.

"Malgayou oaf, help me throw this into a vat!"

Azrael seems to fade a little and he heads up one of the ladders to the remaining balcony and goes to a shuttered widow, he seems to be come substantial again as he opens the shutters. He then goes around opening all the shutters he can get to, while avoiding the wraiths.

The flame of that fireball burns hotter...

Malga'Mar grabs the other arm of the Doombrat, and since the vats are 6 feet high, he and Haskell are just able to dunk it... Jednesa might have been able to tbrow it onto the walkway, 9 feet up.

Azrael realizes that he would be back in phase if he manipulated objects; as it is, he is disturbed to still be able to see the wights in the half world he is in. They look like pillars of greenish flame, and he can see something small flying up by the roof. He can open the great doors, which will expose sunlight, without nearing any of the wights, but would be dangerously close to them if he went for the shutters.

Jednesa has very cold fingers now [-2fp]

Azreal moves to the great doors, alows the spell to lapse and tries to throw them open... but they don't move.

You have five hours before it becomes dark outside. Haskell, after retrieving the dented silver plates (which are stll worth a considerable amount- almost $4000 each) it is possible that something is in the concentrated vinegar sludge at the bottom of the vats, but it stings to touch.

She meditates to recover her strength, giving some to Jednessa after half an hour...

An hour passes, and you are all recovered.  Jednesa finds that her weapon has been pitted with rust while it lay in the vinegar concentrate, but its quality has not been affected yet... a few hours more and it would have downgraded.

This space is free of enemies, and sadly loot, but some daylight remains, as you can see from the hoke in tbe roof, and through the open door.

After glancing about for a second to find an empty barrel, I wave my tentacled fingers over the briny soup as I pull out a small rope and make a loop around the top of the empty one.


Jednesa, pick this barrel up and pour it's contents through this loop into the other barrel.

After some shifting with barrels from the other chamber, you find the remains of a jeweled set of golden prayer beads. The condition is bad, but it should be worth a good amount. This item is not on the list of missing artifacts, and this item probably was a holy symbol but has probably been defiled.

The golem grasps the set of prayer beads in one hand, hefting its pick in the other, and you step out into the daylight. You see the chapter house, and a number of smouldering dead wights that had been tossed out the door.

Jednesa leads the way out into the courtyard and heads off towards the chapter house (once someone points at it) carefully avoiding the still burning wights.

Stenet brings up the rear keeping a wary eye on the winery.

I re-collect my things and follow.  I give Stenet a smile as I pass.

Haskell uses his rope skills to put a couple of loops in the rope, so that Azrael can put a foot in one loop, and one hand through the other, so he can be lowered just to the surface of the water.

"It may well be useful, but we are running out of daylight. She will attempt to summon Crispin, but unsuccessfully.

Azrael shrugs and follows, knowing Stenet's lack of desire to do the job.

Stenet takes up the rear and keeps a weather eye for Doomchildren.

Jednesa looks confused for a moment.  Then she shrugs and takes up the lead striding off to the last building.

Jednesa lowers you down. You can smell the well water, which oddly is not stagnant. It smells faintly of lilacs.

As I get close, can I see how deep it is?

The water looks to be several feet deep. The whitish thing, which seems to be a cloth bundle...you may be able to reach it with just water up to your waist.

Azrael looks about and sees no way to snag the bundle, so he carefully bends his knee to let the other foot down onto the well bottom. He then takes a breath and goes down to pick up the package, putting it inside his robes, before strggling back up to standing in the loop on the rope.

Within the rotted altar cloth is a set of three pristine silver bells on one handle. They smell faintly off lilacs.

"I thought it might be a good idea to retrieve whatever was down there, but everyone was so adamant about leaving it.

I'm sure those will prove invaluable later."

I can ring them when needed if You like, but constantly is not possible, as they seem fatiguing when rung.

The chapter house is fairly small, and looks to be only one story high, albeit with high ceilings. The few windows appear to be caked with filth.

Jednesa again takes point, creeping quietly up on the door before quickly shoving/pulling it open and yelling "BOO" into it.

The door had been barred, however it was not secure enough to hold against the strength of Jednesa, abd the bar shatters as she rips the door open.
Within you can see a darkened recieving area, with a vaulted ceiling, and stone benches built out of the walls.
Three archways lead away, and one has a few steps.

Several pairs of bluish white points of light can be seen through one of the archways.

As he enters the building, Azrael rings the bells.

There is an explosion in the roim behind what you now see are four of the monk-wights. This room is about five yards by 6, with ceilings four yards high. The archways are two yards wide by three high.
The hallway without the wights has a heavy door at the end.

From what i can see, are the Monk Wights bothered by the bells?

Azrael can see by one of the wight's flaming robes, that it and its brethren seem unaffected by the bells. They shuffle forward, even as the room behind them burns from the exploded doomchildren.

Seems it will require silver weapons again ... and some sunlight perhaps.

Azrael looks around for shuttered windows.

"If we lure them over near the door, Jednesa could grab them and drag them out.  Not optimal, but it would work."

The triple dose of holy water splashes the wight, which smokes heavily and begins to crumble... it appears to be severely damaged!

Haskel swings for the head of one, and just grazes its shoulder.

Malga'Mar on the other hand, smashes a wight utterly,  and it crumbles to powder.

In the room the wights came from, Dareos and Stenet can see quite well, as the furnishings are ablaze, and the stained glass windows blown out from the force of the exploding doomchildren.

There are the remains of a burning bed, a chest, a fallen side table  and smashed ewer and bowl.

Ahhh, I took "crumbled" as meaning they were destroyed.  Oh well.

The flames of the fireball burn unnaturally hot, immolating the ruined wight and reducing it to ash as it turns the spilled holy water into vapor that suffuses it. The wight has gone to dust, and the holy essential flame is burning the stone!

Assuming it is still burning after having a gallon of water dumped on it...

Getting tired using these bells... they draw a lot of effort.

She turns around and reaches into the room to grab the imp.  Holding by the feet in one hand she gives it a few pokes and shakes it gently to see if anything interesting falls out.

Purplish venom drips on her wrist, but seems to do nothing to her. The small thing chuckles from inside her fist.

Jednesa whips it down smacking the imp into the ground.  Then if it's linp, she tosses it onto the flaming bed... if it isn't limp, she needs to smack it around a few more times.
