The sai failed to penetrate his armor, although you do have hiis arm pinned- which arm? (Shield would be likely, leaving you in a flanking position that would require him to break the hold before attacking you)

Iskander seized the mans shield arm, and pinned it behind his back.
His sai deflected, Iskander thrust his sai for the man's sword, grappling it's blade, within the tines of his weapon, in order to twist the sword, from his foe's grip!

After helping drag the dead into rows in front of the gate, Tanaka went back up on the wall, to watch, in case the enemy regrouped, and came back for another assault.
Hearing the commotion, inside the palace, figured more ninjas had been discovered among the servants. Reading his bow, he kept his eyes and ears open, calmly.

Tanaka, slung his bow and arrows, and climbed down the opposite side, of the damaged wall, and let himself quietly, down into the street. He would patrol around the perimeter to intercept anyone fleeing the palace, or stragglers from the assault.

Tanaka can hear something, but is four seconds out.

There is definitely something magical about the swordsman you are pinnig the arm of, but you aren't sure what it is.
